    Just a note: I left the part out on changing the air filters inside the cabin so if you want more detail on changing it out you can check out my other video here: th-cam.com/video/MJKU2V_7KrQ/w-d-xo.html where I go more in-depth changing the air filters out. Also, all the parts needed are in the description. If I missed anything, please let me know so that I can update it. Thanks!

    Note for changing the belts... take out spark plugs it may be easier to rotate engine. Got mine off and on with a regular 12" 1/2 ratchet in about 15min.
    But thanks for making it look easy enough to dig into.

    If you were going to replace the a/c belt, why did you not just cut it?

    Hello good afternoon, so how often should be replace the belt and the water pump? And for the antifreeze is just 2 gallons? And must be 1 distilled water and one regular? Thank you

    • @RichardCuico
      @RichardCuico  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      the belt and pump I believe is after the 3rd service but don't quote me on it since I don't have the manual in front of me. The antifreeze it depends as the one I got was NOT pre-mixed so you have 1 gallon of distilled water and 1 gallon of the concentrated antifreeze.

    Great Stuff Richard! I have an MC and just got the $4500 quote for this stuff. Ugly. Looking for alternatives and found this. Thank you for your time. Question: both you and Normal Guy Supercar say that belt is a 2 man job. In what way specifically?

    • @RichardCuico
      @RichardCuico  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      4500 is absolutely insane but what you would expect at the dealer. It's a tough job but I was able to do it myself. If you're not comfortable with working with cars everything is definitely a two man job. I was able to do everything, including the belt, myself. The belt I did have to use both my arms and my shoulder at the same time. So to make things easier, have someone help you out for that part. It's just hard to put the belt on yourself without someone holding it in place

    • @RichardCuico
      @RichardCuico  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      hard to say. My best bet would be to replace the spark plugs and if that doesn't work then replace the ignition coils. With the spark plugs, just be careful not to tighten way too much because it can break into your cylinder. But try replacing the spark plugs and ignition coils. That should solve the problem

    I’ve seen somone use the Peale European blue what’s your opinion on that and I’m about to actually change mine right just the coolant and I noticed you didn’t remove the front bumper at all soo that won’t be necessary I could reach it from just the bottom removing the cover and did you bleed out your system ?

    • @RichardCuico
      @RichardCuico  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      To be honest, it's been a while since I looked into it but I went with what most Ferrari and Maserati owners were using on the forums. Also, I contacted the company which I got mine from and they said their coolant shouldn't cause any issues. It's been running perfectly so far. In regards to bleeding it out, do you mean getting rid of any excess old coolant? I just ran some water through before tightening up the plug

    Hi. Thanks for the great video. But are you sure this cheap Preston coolant would be best for this car? Iv heard the blue bmw coolant is best. I just bought my granturismo and when I looked into the coolant reservoir I was very surprised to see that it had this cheap green prestone fluid in it and I plan on changing it out. Do you think I should or not? Thanks

    • @RichardCuico
      @RichardCuico  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Al sorry for getting to this so late. I didn't see the notification. I've researched this back in the day and yes blue works great but after doing my research, the Prestone was just as good. Definitely do your own research but I went with what several guys in the Ferrari and Maserati forums went with. I also contacted Prestone and they said it shouldn't cause any issues. The car has been running perfectly but only time will tell.

    Would the dealer charge a lot to do all this work?

    • @RichardCuico
      @RichardCuico  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Typically dealers charge anywhere from $200-$300 per hour working on these cars. For these 4 items alone, they could possibly charge a work time of 3-4 hours to get it all done. So you're looking at $600-$1200, depending on where you go, just for labor. The parts cost another $100. You do still need the tools but as of right now, unless your time is worth $200-$300 an hour, it'd be more cost-effective to do the work yourself and sacrifice a Sunday to get it all done.
