    Story Summary :-
    Op's younger brother decides to get married to a lady immediately after he graduates from college and his parents who initially kicked at it now drum support because their would-be in-laws were very rich folks. The in-laws gift the young couple rings worth two hundred thousand dollars to be used for their wedding. Things get better after the wedding as Op's in-laws reach out to him to carry out a massive project that would have turned Op's life around but his younger brother soon accuses Op of stealing his expensive ring and this makes both Op's family and his in-laws to cut him off.
    Op stays on his own for eight years until his broke brother who separated from his wife through a messy divorce now attaches himself to some religious folks because of the assistance they could render. Op's brother seeks peace with him just to prove to his pastor that he is a changed man. He confesses to Op about selling his ring and using it to go after hookers and drugs. He goes further to reveal the truth behind his divorce to Op and Op uses it against him by exposing him to his ex-wife and her family who were still hurting after many years. They sued Op's brother for defamation.

    I had a similar story happen with my ex employer. Years ago I worked at a plumbing company with a store front where DIYers can come buy plumbing tools and supplies. When someone wanted pipe we could cut it to length and one customer wanted 2” copper pipe 2 foot long. Copper pipe is expensive, especially in such a large size. Usually when people ask for this we would take the 2 foot off of a scrap piece that we used on our trucks. One of the employees cut the 2 feet off of a full 10” length. The boss came in the next morning and yelled and screamed at me about why i would ruin a full piece of pipe like that for a small scrap a customer wanted? I had no idea what he was talking about so I simply questioned him. He dragged me to the back and showed me the pipe that was cut, screaming the whole time. I finally got a word in and said “I have no idea what happened here, I did not help this customer.” The boss huffed and said ok we will just check the receipts. (Side note- this company still operated in the dark ages with hand written receipts that were required to be signed by the employee who sold the products.) the boss found the receipt and what do you know, it wasn’t me, it was his favorite employee. The one who could do no wrong. Boss didn’t apologize, didn’t repremand the golden boy, he just said “no way that bob did this” and went into his office. I quit a few months later

    This is beyond disgusting. Louis not only was careless, but blamed everything on OP, who was kicked out for something he never did, accused of stealing a ring he probably never touched, let alone stole.
    Money corrupted Louis's mind, and it was clear that Louis and OP's family valued money over family. OP getting kicked out, though, was good in the sense that he wouldn't have to live with such horrible people.
    I hope Julie's family sees that OP was innocent, and that he was blameless for what happened to the ring. Here's hoping that OP's business survived, too.

      Money didn't corrupt Louis, he was corrupt long before he got anywhere near it. Money might've corrupted the rest of the family, but not Louis. @@ftdfijturidtunyjhuif Unfortunately families are like that a lot of the time, you hear the fuck up or asshole of the family is getting married to someone, and you wish the one marrying them luck. Largely because you know trying to warn them away would just cause a ton of drama, family taking sides, and likely the person believing you are lying about their loving intended.
      Largely you can only hope this poor person becomes wise to their true nature. If it is a brother or something, you tell yourself it isn't your business, and hope that somehow the situation becomes better.
      It's a kind of family over a stranger kind of thing...
      Was it cruel to the woman he didn't know, yes. Could he have tried to prevent it, yes. Would it have gotten him in trouble with both sides of the aisle without any real proof but his brother said that to him... Definitely and definitively...

    To all the guys who claim women are gold-diggers just because the guy is rich, look at this story and recognize that men can be gold-diggers too

    • @C.Church
      @C.Church 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +13

      Milennia of men have married purely for her family wealth and connections. But most dont see it as gold digging because in their delulu it was their obvious face value awesomeness that won them "the job", not gold digging. Young famous power couples same. If she is more famous and connected, he tends to grow in connections, gets her pregnant, she falls back, and eventually he leaves to step up higher with a "fresh" woman with connections while famous lady 1 raises his progeny. That ol crazy 1989 Roseanne Barr movie She Devil is of this phenomenon.
      "Nurse and a purse". You'll find a lot of stories at channels like this and others follow this truth. They'll play like they love the woman who loves him despite his ailments. She is like Julie thinking he's in love too. No he's looking for a cheap or free nurse, cleaner and cook. Lock her in with pregnancy. If she wakes up and leaves, the kids will be still obligated in his mind, esp if a girl. Tracy Chapman's song Fast Car begins with her being trapped caring for her alcoholic father. By the end shes right back in the vicious cycle with her now irresponsible guy with whom she escaped with at the beginning of the song with love, a hopeful future and freedom in her eyes. Shes taking care of them all.
      Hospice workers are coming forward lately saying the person most likely to be guilted into attending an abusive dying man's last minutes isnt his son, it's his daughter.
      Was it this channel the old guy woo'd her while she's in college, married her then reneged on promises and needed her to care for him? Nurse and a purse.
      But mostly only women get called gold digger.

      The whole family was gold digging leeches. So it's not surprising if they threw one of their own kind for their own benefit.

    It was unfortunate that OP had to go to such extremes to prove the point to all those people that his brother had scammed and lied to but in the end all you really have is your reputation. If someone you love is determined to hurt you in such a fundamental way what else will they do? If OP's brother was truly going to start digging his way out of the muck and mire he'd found himself in, he first needed to reach the bottom of that mess. The way I see it, OP just simply helped him to find the bottom. Who knows, maybe in a few years, once he realizes that he has nowhere else to go but up, he may even thank OP because he had no choice but to start working on himself after this. He probably won't but I'd like to think that it might happen anyway.

    It sounds like with the evidence OP would have a pretty decent defamation case against his brother as well considering it cost him a very lucrative business deal, his place in the family, and potentially many other future business deals as well. As long as they are in a one party consent recording state then then recorded evidence would be admissible and much like other civil litigation cases such as fraud and infidelity the state of limitations restarts when then evidence of the crime is discovered even years after the original crime was committed. Hire a ruthless lawyer and piggy back on the ex-wife's family defamation lawsuit.

They sided with the lying Golden child because They were blinded by greed like Louis.. Luis is up to No Good So his story is to make him look Good...Your brother is not a good person.... He will never change his personality unless It involves getting Money or drugs ..Sorry you had such an Awful past with your Family...

    Your family are wrong, you can't command forgiveness, that is an individual choice. You are entitled to feel what you feel. I'm sorry your wife was so sure of herself, but the decision is each individual. We each process at our own speed. These religious people are good at putting pressure on people. It must be a personal relationship with God.

    The ex-laws are suing Louis for defamation, NOT the other way around! Honestly, I watch this channel because I constantly work on developing patience, but could you PLEASE collaborate with someone else to proofread?! Your delivery is sometimes so egregious that you take a person right out of the story, over and over. You don’t seem to be getting any of my comments, but I am starting to lose said patience. You really can’t afford someone to proofread your scripts against your recitation? Really!

    • @kathrynbillinghurst188
      @kathrynbillinghurst188 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Mr. Reddito’s channel! His style! There are many other channels to choose from!🫤
      It’s ‘egregious’ to read such criticisms as he’s doing great and he’s so busy doing what he loves, some mistakes are in there to engage young readers and students to be on their toes whilst learning many concepts of literature and contemporary language.
      I know, if I had his condition, I’d probably be in bed feeling sorry for myself, let alone producing such a GARGANTUAN body of work to actually give us a platform to share our experiences and free ourselves as well as engage feedback from others!
      No offence to you…but try to be more flexible and understanding of others feelings.
      Constructive criticism isn’t always needed nor is it conducive to good mental health. 💁🏼‍♀️❤
