    Great analysis. 997.2 the way to go - great looking, relatively rare cars, with the reliable engine, manual transmission and raw feel.

    Great video. Very concise and to the point. IMHO the 997.1 is the nicest looking of the GT3s. But let’s face it all the Mezgers are great

  • @ousi00
    @ousi00 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    IMO, the 997.1 and 997.2 are still the ones to get given that they are the last gen with the Mezger engines, especially GT3 and RS

  • @sergia6513
    @sergia6513 4 ปีที่แล้ว +10

    Great review as always. I think the 997 and specially the MK2 is the GT3 to own and will be a collectors car in the future. Mezger engine and few gimmicks.

  • @softgrapes
    @softgrapes 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Great video! Wow has the market changed since this video was uploaded 4 months ago!
    Current prices I’m seeing are like 25% higher. Tourings selling for over $200k and GT3s even without desirable options and with mileage can’t be found for less that $170k.
    Would you be willing to make an update GT3 video with the current market status? Do you think prices are going to come back down?

  • @haricsl
    @haricsl 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Production numbers must play a part, they made a shed load of 991 gt3s compared to older generations which were much more rare, so feel they will depreciate quicker (as they are not as “limited edition” as the older gen cars were). I heard somewhere that towards end of 991 cycle, 40% of cars produced were gt3s

    I really enjoy your videos. Wish I watched yours before I bought my first supercar.
    Anyway, would you make a video of the special versions of the V8 Ferraris? (namely Challenge Stradale, Scuderia, Speciale, Pista). I have been watching the CS and Scud for a while and may acquire one next year, or maybe a 997 GT3RS instead.

    • @fourwheeltrader

    997.2 are worth more than 991.1 because 991.1 didn't offer manual and manuals are always worth more in any modern classic.

    Any thoughts as to why the GT3 market in general seems to be shrinking? I've been tracking the market as a whole for a while and noticed a definite reduction in supply across all generation the last 6-9 months.

  • @AbsolutMassager

    Have you done one for the Turbo and Turbo S variants of the 911? As much as I love the GT3, I am a father so I have to have a child seat available in the back, which a turbo and turbo s make more sense for the weekending fun car.

      That’s because GT3’s are for ‘drivers’
      They don’t have crazy horsepower and don’t have Ferrari/Lambo kind of looks/presence. In fact, they’re not a supercar.
      But ‘point to point’, in the real world, they are the best dam sports car, money can buy.
