Excellent. The market is starting to reflect the true qualities of these cars. The two best iterations are becoming clear: 992 if you want modern ability and VAG robot built ease - but will still be superseded; 997.2 if you want rarity, raw feel, a Mezger engine and Porsche hand build - absolute classic. The lesser cars will fall away: 996 was very good, but has 'polarising' (to be kind) looks; the 997.1 was fragile, likewise 991.1. The 991.2 is very, very good but mass produced and will be forever in the 992's shadow.
As for the 991.2 gt3, I think it has a bright future, the performance is very similar to the 992 and the aesthetics of the 991.2, especially at the rear, are much better. For a fine example, with a few km, (in Europe) between 170 and 200k are required.
I do not like the nose, rear end, center console, gauge cluster, or the cylon rear light on the 992. IMHO the 991 and 997 are the best looking modern Porsches.
I recently bought my 991.2 GT3 with pdk and just 9k km on it for 165k back in september here in germany. Got it cheaper compared to similar specced ones, they did go for around 180-190. Now I'm thinking that I bought right at the end of the boom and at the worst possible moment lol. But I think thats okay, cause my buying price was relatvely low compared to the whole market. So happy that I found this channel.
Everyone is scared of the 991.1 3.8L blowing up on them; by now, all the engines that have the potential to blow up have blown up; they are such good deals if you are thinking of getting into a GT3. Downsides, PDK only, not that desirable from a resale standpoint.
Sir ,If possible could you conduct analysis on the following makes & models for 2023 : 1 ) Porsche Macans ( All variants) ; 2) Mercedes G Wagons and Ford Bronco Gen. 1 (1966-1979) Thank You
Can you cover the updates in the Jaguar F type market. I'm seeing prices come down finally for 16-18 v8 R's. Do we think good examples with reasonable milage can get to 50K in 2023?
@@flsupraguy Probably about 5%. More then likely its for vanity. The regular GT3 has the "looks" of a more special car. The touring is for people who don't care, and know that at a track day it wouldn't matter for a few extra tenths of a second. No one is wheel-to-wheel racing a non-GT3 cup car.
@@flsupraguy And thank God for that. But you and your buddies aren't going wheel-to-wheel. Which there is nothing wrong with that. Real FIA roll cages exist for that reason. I wouldn't want to wad up my streetcar because some dick divebombs into a corner for a position.
992 delivery started to slow down, as rumors (from my dealership at least) has that Porsche is reducing output in 2023. They aren't even taking deposit for new orders anymore.
There is a 997.1 for sale in Texas for 50k below market because it has been in an accident if you are using car gurus. This would significantly impact results if under 10 examples in USA.
I own a 2015 991.1 with the original F-series engine. Should it break before the 10 years expire, I’ll get a new G-series. Should it break thereafter, Porsche approved warranty will cover the same an much more. The .1 is the rarer car, IMO looks better than a .2, and doesn’t have OPF i.e. sounds better. I’d only prefer a .2 if I’d strive for a manual.
The engine failure rate in the .1’s is just too great to take a chance on one unless it’s under warranty. Once the warranty is over in a couple years, resale value is definitely going to take a hit. The .2 is a better car all the way around with many improvements. By the way, the .1’s and 2’s sound equally awesome, as there is no OPF on .2’s as you stated - it only started on the 992’s in Europe
I did a similar study of the 992 on my channel recently but you are the absolute MVP. I don't think people realize how hard it is to make this kind of content. Takes a lot of work. Thanks for studying this closely as with many, I'm very interested in the 992 GT3 market and hope that you do an update to this video in the May/June timeframe to see how it's going then and if the 9% drop trend is continuing.
I update the GT3 market videos every 3 months, so stayed tuned for that. It indeed requires a lot of work behind to scenes to put all of this together 😅.
Well, hold my American Pressed Coffee ☕️. What we have here is with the the GT productlines is the line in the sand that differentiate the average person from the extraordinary person. If Porsche sell their GT car to an average person then what is the inventive to for the extraordinary person drive these machines. Nothing really has changed, men and women keep score today by the quality of horses they have in the stable. We are well aware that anyone can buy a horse, however not everyone understands the responsibility that is entailed when they buy a racing horse. These cars are mere commodities that trade hands among the extraordinary people. My solution is stop being ordinary in you life, and do extraordinary werks to attain one of these machines. No one cares about you wanting a GT car.

As long as the 991.2 is your dream car, it doesn't matter. If you want to trade it, it will matter.
I don't know in Germany but in Italy a 991.2 gt3 with less than 10,000 km and with a good set-up requires between 170 and 200k.

A $40K premium for the $0 Touring option. Why would anyone order a non touring?
Because some actually track their cars.....

How about seasonal variations its winter!
That's of course an important factor. But the decrease rate is higher than in previous years and the decrease started already during the summer.
