- Its finally time! Every since I did the first video on with my background story of the Alphas, people have been asking me, how would I do this story, but with the predators in the same universe? Well, I finally put some ideas together, and here it goes! Alpha Aliens, Engineers, Xenoengineers, Aliens, Deacon-like Aliens, Predators, with all of the current movies still there. Alien, Aliens, Alien 3, Alien Resurrection, Prometheus, Alien Covenant, Predator, Predator 2, and a new idea for Aliens VS Predator!!!!

I'm not sure how I feel about Alphas going to war against Predators. For one Alpha's don't seem to be an aggressive species and seem more interested in research and exploration. They would likely prefer diplomacy over war. Secondly, Predators don't typically use equally advanced civilizations for their hunts. They seem to prefer more primitive, yet physically powerful and capable species - like humans or xenomorphs. On the other hand I could see Alphas and Predators engaged in some form of trade with each other, wherein Predators were commissioning the Alphas to create deadlier and more fierce creatures for the predators to hunt. Also, this exchange would be useful for Alphas as it gives them a chance to test their creations out - a sort of proving grounds.

Mike M very nice, I felt the same way. The alpha's feel ancient, a bit hidden and far more peaceful an diplomatic. So, I think it would totally fit if this higher race came to the Yautja with this proposition in return for the Yautja staying out of their business. It would work quite well and fit in with all canon works to date.
I do agree with that. It was even why I made them create beings to fight for them, I wanted them to be overprotective of the humans and engineers, so they make aliens and use the substance to fight them off. It was hard to make a background story, yet still leave all of the alien movies and prequels canon. Basically, in the end, I have to have the Predators end up like they are now in the movies, and make sure that something makes the Alphas leave, or atleast monitor from afar secretly. I was hoping to explain how Predators got the advanced tech that they have, being that now, they seam to be mostly hunters. I also wanted to fit in the story that aliens have been made before David, so hes only a modifier of them, not a true creator. I'll admit, if I didnt have to keep the movies, and themes like making David not the creator, I'd most likely come up with a much different story.
SciFi Explained good points, I understand as much. I do love these Alpha theories, and I think that should Ridley Scot play his cards right, your theories would save the franchise. Hell, you might even open the door for a decent AvP reboot. Idk. Maybe if we get these theories to trend.

I'll admit, I was skeptical of adding Predators race, but, wow, this was good stuff, maybe better than your original, idk, it's just all so brilliant together. What's also so awesome is that we can go ahead and imagine it is all canon, you know, because it does actually fit so well and can only be contradicted by so and so's statements and not his films, lol.
Thanks! I even kept the Predators out of the first version, and only did this after many people asked about it. That said, they have been my favorite videos to make on the channel!

Nitpicky, albeit, but please don't call active vessels "Derelict." Derelict means they are rotting and unused, can you use derelict-style or "engineer warship" or something in the future? Otherwise a great video!

Everytime I think about the Alien franchise I just shake my head.. What potential the Alien movie had. I'm talking about it had endless possibilities to become the Godfather of Scifi movies. Part was pretty good but they were heading in the wrong direction!! Alien should of always been high drama and very mysterious and serious movie made for ADULTS!

This video made even more clear to me that David created the xenomorph which is an evolution of something similar to the reacon created by the engineers!

I have always been perplexed why Ridley Scott never saw fit to make the Predators a serious part of the Alien cannon.
Maybe he didn't like the idea of his little horrors being hunted down like animals. Me I never liked the Predator culture being heavily influenced by the Xenomorphs. They should have made the Xenomorphs like a less like an initiation hunt and more like it's the hunt you don't come back from.

Great series. I have to believe that the alphas would be advanced far beyond predators and engineers. Kind of like light beings that speak telepathically and can choose a physical body at will.
This is one of my all time favorite theory series, along with your original. Good work!
My only question is, from a filmmaking standpoint, how would we see all this, an not get a shitty, action oriented, exposition filled movie like AVP1? (Like AvP1 is ok, but has flaws. AvP2 we don't speak of. EVER.)
That would be tough since humans aren't involved much here. This was more of a background story, that you wouldn't have to "see", but knowing it would explain differences that don't line up from the Prequels to the original movies.
SciFi Explained yes, but it doesn't change anything I that's the case. For the and who've seen this, or even if it's made canon, great! But if we don't see it somehow or hear it visually, then it simply doesn't do much. It's a great idea! I'd love to work with you on coming up with a way to make an actual movie on it, rather than just the story, if you'd be open to that.
I'd love to see someone make an animated story with it, or something like that.

These theories should be put into a series,,. Aliens/predators/engineers/"alpha's" as a series would be able to explain and including all the characters from their universes
Really liked this theory and found it very interesting...but i disagree about the black goo "variants". Imo this is a missinterpretation caused by it's different effects (mutations on Prometheus yet destruction on Covenant)
This is easily explained by the quantity used...i believe there are no variants of the black goo but rather that it acts like medicine, meaning that the quantity alters the effect completely (what shouldve healed will instead kill if used too much)
Very possible Fernando! I went this way with the story because in the Advent short story, David says the substance contains an advanced form of AI. I took it as the Alphas were able to tweak this AI and thus make different versions of the goo. Either way, I do really like theorizing on the stuff!
SciFi Explained well it is possible...guess what i mean is that the goo in Prometheus is the same as the one in Covenant. Ppl theorized that David weaponized the goo in Covenant but as i explained above i think this isnt the case bc the quantity used changed drastically
I have to disagree that its based down to quantity. In Prometheus, Holloway only ingests an absolute minimal amount which David put into his drink thus leading to Holloways infection/transformation and suicide. Also this small amount leads to Shaw getting pregnant with that squid thing. At the start the engineer only drinks a small amount for it to make him disintegrate/dissolve. Then larger amounts being released on the engineer planet causing them to be vaporised.
So regarding "what shouldve healed will instead kill if used too much" that cant be the case as there are examples of using the very minimum amount and having drastic effects. Then with large amounts still having drastic effects. Then we have all the examples of David experimenting with the goo to create different things so this to me shows that the goo is very versatile and adaptable to experimentation to get different results. The point of the Aliens and the goo is that it has to be very versatile to adapt to everything and anything for it to spread and conquer. This shows that it would have to change into different variants to make it compatible and most effective rather than just being a quantity issue even though the smallest amount would do the job.
I'm not as familiar with the Predators, but I really don't like hooking these two franchises together. They both are quite rich in potential, and tieing them together limits the possibilities for both. It makes something toxic that just spirals into oblivion.
I know it was not your choice, and you are trying to help the resulting mess make sense. You do a pretty good job of it too.
You have made some elegant solutions out of a hot mess. I wonder what you would write if you could start from scratch and come up with your own original creature mythology.

This theory is amazing... but i worry its building my expectation too high... like the original ending to mass effect 3, the fan theories were fantastic but then bioware re-released the ending making the bad ending even worse and it stamped out the fan theories :(
Not sure if I prefer this to your original fix. I love the introduction of the Predators into the universe, but it doesn't feel as gratifying as the original.

I find the idea of what are essentially armored giant tigers being able to destroy the armies of a technologically advanced civilization. Why didn't they just send armies of robots with lightning fast reactions or simply set up a giant ass wall and fire at them from above? Or y' know use repeating weapons that could kill hundreds of proto-morphs.

They're not, in the first part it says that the Alphas found them naturally developing and using their DNA created the Engineers which is why they're so similar in DNA, the Alphas left the clues, not the Engineers

Your backstories change more than the actual movies.
I like the Idea: Engineers did not create Humans, but are part of a linked, evolutionary chain, set in place by another, higher being.
But i dont like to mix the Alien Universe Prehistory with the Predators. Keep it clean pure H.R.Giger Dark Horror Show please!
This is how i would set it up:
Humans, Engineers and 3-4 other iterations of "Humanoid" beings have all been created and seeded throughout many universes. The Engineer/Alien debacle is not limited to our own Galaxy.
Mankind as we are now, are the 4th or 5th Generation of this evolutionary chain - not the product of natural selection and Ape evolution. This would also reference to the "Annunaki" Legends.
Paradise is essentially the Cradle of Creation within our Galaxy, a loose reference to the Garden of Eden. Those above the Engineers are widespread and Paradise is just like their Headquarters within this Galaxy.
The beings above the Engineers and Humans have the ability to affect climates and essentially the cores of planets - manipulating gravitational forces, to elicit massive scale natural disasters and alterations.
the Great Floods and Ice Ages reported in Bibical scripture were actually a manipulated phenomenon by those above the Engineers and that they use this technology to transform worlds and reset ecosystems.
these Humanoids are somehow in competition with one another, vying for dominance of the universe. With unique technology native to each species' origins, both Human and Engineer (and the others) are attempting to wipe out the others from existence, so that they may completely rule, unchallenged.
You can refer to Prometheus' opening sequence as evidence of the Engineers seeding a planet (which could be Paradise by the way). This is further reinforced by the Engineer's hostile reaction to Humans on LV-223 and the discovery of their plan to wipe out Humanity. "In order to create, one must first destroy", as explained by David insinuates the Engineers, must first destroy Humanity to make way for their own population to take hold of a planet.
Dude you'd think they would call truce once planet lvl destruction was called upon.
The Alphas shouldn't be easily defeated... they far superior in technology. They created the Engineers and They "GROW" bio , syncing ships and space suits for God's sake!!! I'm truly an Alpha fan!
I actually agree, I just needed to make them uncommon or thought to be all dead by the end of the story to keep in canon with the movies. It was hard to do a story and keep all the alien movies, and even some of the Predator series still canon.

This is a step in the right direction but still does not address the plot-holes of prometheus and covenant. I still think returning to the lore established by darkhorse is the best path, why is it necessary for alphas to create engineers or alphas to create aliens or even engineers to create humans, why could they not evolve naturally? I want to see an alien movie not the petri dish wars.

I don't...I have the predators in an alternate universe from the alien films just like FOX does. This was a request so I thought I'd take a swing at it. I have the original version of the story on the site with no predators in it too.

Your story here contradicts itself. Things like the engineers creating humans were stated not to be true according to your story in the alpha videos
I mentioned in the comments that I didn't want to change the movies at all, and that part was a change that people wanted me to make when coming up with the idea for the video. When I did the second version, this one, with predator added in, I corrected it (humans from engineers), and kept the rest of the story intact.
Sadly, making a film out of this would be too confusing for most of viewers. There is too much story! You have to keep in mind that the average cinema visitor has the reasoning abilities of a little child.
That's why the whole Marvel franchise is so successful.
I agree! this was more to see if I could match up inconsistensies with the prequels and the original four, especially in art / design decisions.
