Just received mine, #6,522 of 9,999. My fourth Citizen Blue Angels watch, but the first that came with the flight helmet replica, which is pretty darn cool. My first was an all titanium model, which is incredibly lightweight compared to my three stainless steel versions.
I currently have five Citizen eco-drive Blue Angels watches. The first acquisition I got in 2015 is an all titanium edition and weighs next to nothing. My most recent acquistion came late in 2023 and I have another in my sights which will bring my collection up to six Blue Angels watches.
There is a lot of confusion about the limited edition of these watches. I spotted one in Zales and got excited and was ready to buy it until I took it out of the display stand to see what number it was and guess what. There was no number to be found of any kind of limited edition. Why did Citizens do this. You can't make a limited edition watch and then make the exact same watch that's not limited edition both for the same price. What am I missing.
I also found one but this one has a limited number on the back. I might go buy it but I am confused as to why some seem limited and some seem like they're not
Normally flieger watches have a triangle on the 12:00 position for clear orientation for the user in low light. The addition of a similar marking on the 6:00 might cause some minimal confusion in low light.
Everyone needs an atomic clock to set the time for their collection!! I just showed my dad a almost $20,000 dollar collection and his favorite was this one!! If citizen hired someone cool to promote the high end watches they would kill it! Unfortunately unlike the Japanese quality itself is not enough, Americans need someone they look up to, to wear the watch also!! The dial has 5 layers!! The slide rule is cool if you hangout with older people that remember actual slide rulers! It’s literally more accurate than ur phone cause it shows seconds! After buying this watch it’s like my Rolex is a model T and this is a Tesla (but better build quality). My pro diver was mistaken for a submariner at the gym the other day, but this watch has no twins!! All citizen has to work on is marketing, the watches speak for themselves!!
Thanks for the review. Quick question; If the hour and minute hands are covering the digital displays for example at 3:20pm or at 4: 45pm; Can the hands be moved away from the digital display so that the user can use the chronograph ?
Way too complicated. You think anyone driving anything faster than a wheelchair will have time to go through all the steps to calculate fuel burn time? If you're piloting a plane you will crash and burn by the time you can even see the time.
Yeah I am a pilot, but no chance I will be looking at the watch whilst flying, trying to calculate something :) but cool looking watch

I just bought one yesterday from Jared. It doesn’t have a limited number on it, even though the salesman told me it was a limited edition.

If it’s really that urgent for you to see the digital display you can always just move the hands manually and press the atomic button to reset it.

It’s done automatically. Read the. Annual online.
I learned how on TH-cam plenty of instruction vids on the watch get the app and sinc up to world time

Not impossible but not practical. Pilots have a lot of time on their hands after auto pilot takes over.
