The practical multi-function, satellite set quartz watch has much to commend itself. Citizen technology and finishing is outstanding. Both bracelets and cases were very good looking.
Nice looking watches, I like the new case design. I have an older version blue angels with the U680 movement, very similar. The only difference is at the power reserve indicator is down on this new models. Which caliber are used in this new watches? But I like the black one. The other one has too much yellow surrounding the subdials, looks too busy for me.
Thank you for nice presentation. Just humble correction: At 09:35 it is CAL (Calendar), no Calibration. In middle of August I bought Blue Angels version JY8078-53L with Caliber U680. I like this watch very much, even I wanted it in Titanium, which wasn't available at that time here in Slovakia. Two thinks I don't like are: Back lighting (is bit poor) and I am having problems with both Alarms (AL1 & AL2) since new as they don't work correctly at set times. They are working as they please. I can not relate on either Alarm. I called 10 times authorised Citizen service in Bratislava listed on back of owners manual, no answer! I managed to ge a service technician mobile number. When I tried to explain my problem, he went "balistic" he was root. Actually he hangs on me. Bad customer service here in Slovakia, taught. Anyone experiencing the same issues with alarms, please? Any advice, please? Thanks. George
Great Review! Glad you pointed out proprietary bracelet, thus can't switch out straps like others similar. I have about 7 " wrist and prefer Titanium (will wait and see if these come out later). I have three Citizen Titanium and super titanium is the best.
They look far nicer in the video than the catalog photos would indicate. Also, Citizen screwed up their catalog illustrations of the black model -- they all show it with a negative display when it is in fact positive, which makes a huge difference in the readability. I ended up buying one and can confirm that it is in fact a positive display,.
About to buy the Angel one, on the 1st of August 2024, for my 63rd Birthday. just went to the store to look at it, it looks awesome, but a bit heavy. Happy Birthday to ME. lol.
Very nice watches!!! I purchased the Blue Angels Skyhawks Titanium a month ago. I love it! Set and forget it. Love the timer feature on it! Kinda wish I had waited for these guys to drop. Oh well,basically the same as what I just got,just different aesthetics. Nice video!
I love the black version and was all set to buy it until you said there's no rubber strap option. I don't like the feel of metal bracelets on my wrist. Great video!
I’ve had a blue angels skyhawk since around 2016 so it’s like a second generation model and I love it. I still think it kings excellent even though it’s scratched up to hell😂
It looks like Citizen messed up all their catalog illustrations. This black model actually has a positive display in all the videos or actual photos I've seen.
I have an older blue angels watch. Overall, I love it but the lume isn’t good. These are way better. I’m not sure about the digital display. Not sure I like it..
Hey man, I'm on the fence of buying one. In the video it seems the case and bracelet have fingerprints or something. Is the black version more prone to scratches, or is the coating fading somehow after one year?

When the watch requires a new battery, does it need to be sent to Citizen? Also is a Red Arrows version available?
No red arrows version yet and the watch is Solar Powered so it should last a lifetime.
