I'd like to triple my money on an overpriced house too. I feel bad for whoever buys it and the value goes back down to $250k eventually. That house should be turn-key with pristine landscaping for that price in Maine and a whole lot more acreage. The blame is not on the owners, it is the crazy market. Good for them if they get it. But maybe fix the yard and declutter the house before listing it?
It's getting ridiculous around there. I grew up on those ponds. It was all blue collar, hard working people who had camps there in the 70s and into the 80s. It's completely impossible for someone like that to have a place like this now. We should have collectively kept it secret but greed got the better of us and this is what happened. What's even crazier is that people who live just a few hundred miles to the south can just shell out this kind of money like it doesn't even matter. Guess I should have studied harder in school.
as much as I agree with your points, unfortunately the Fed will be lowering rates again driving housing prices up ven further, I don't believe they will ever come down that much again
@thejonald it's freaking northern Maine, not breezy point. Lol $800k in Lincoln ME for a house with a trashed yard......laughable I'm educated enough to stay away from that. Anyone who buys it at that price, apparently didn't take your economics class, teach.
This is one of those houses I really want to like. The aesthetics are outstanding and the decor really brings them out. However, I'm not a fan of the sunken living room with no railings around the drop-off, nor am I a fan of the spiral staircase (bad experiences with them). I won't comment on the price as I'm not knowledgeable on what is or isn't a good price for the location. I do see how it would make a nice place to live and tell the world to "keep out!"
Come on man how you gonna sell me a $800000 house with one acre You're crazy you're nuts and I don't want it wouldn't buy it not even for a 100 bucks 1 acre that means you can have somebody so close to you they can hand you grateful pond NAA
We vacationed on this lake last June, not far from this home. It’s a beautiful, pristine lake. This home is stunning. Thanks for sharing!

It’s called “economics”. Supply and demand. They give classes on it in school. Even high school I believe.
@@thejonald Thanks for the "Lesson". 👍

Really nice property.
Sharp but too rich for my blood. Keep them coming!
It's SO Maine.
Quirky, but I really like it. I Didn't see AC anywhere, and that low overhead stair is surprising. Is there no code limitation for that?

On each side of fireplace...
She called them heat pumps...
I call them minni splits...
Probably basically same.
@@jayforkner2692 Missed that, thanks
It's Maine... On waterfront. Not too many codes except stay away from building near the way wah

How do you come up with private settings with an acre of land an acre a plan nothing
Huh?
THe place is a dump. Talk about clutter. Looks like the owner has no clue or respect for how the public might view this listing

*United Country Lifestyle Properties of Maine* What a beautiful place, thank-you for taking the time to show us around. GOD Bless.
nah ... too much
Way too Asian-influenced for me. The yard and the cluttered mishmash of interior style were not inviting. Overpriced.
