I'm in America and I'm thoroughly impressed with the material used for the floor, walls and ceiling. I mean, this stuff brings new meaning to the term 'hermetically sealed.' Bravo!!👏💪
don't you guys seal your new builds? It's been a thing in Europe for years. My folks had a new build recently and it was pressure tested. the airflow is handled very deliberately and all airflow goes though heat exchangers. It's incredibly cheap to heat, and stays warm for days. Seems worth adopting with the cost of energy like it is.
@@RobertFletcherOBE Depends on where you are and what your budget is. Well-sealed/airflow-manage home construction is still pretty new here overall, and many regions don't see it very often for cost and climate reasons.

My grandfather was a contractor for 60 years, and I’ve never seen anything like this! I especially liked the solar powered roofing sheets and the exterior walls… Great job guys, we need you in the US to make housing affordable!
@ЖелаювамСчастливогосегодня we actually have many, many trees. I live in western Oregon where timber is our most abundant resource. However, government beaurocracy and red tape doesn't allow us to utilize it nearly as much as we could. It's sad.
Roof is not solar and while I aplaude the build quality of the cifs pannels most americans find 1700sqft houses with garrages as small. If we want to solve affordable housing in america we need to moderate our expectations.
Absolutely brilliant. One slight upgrade. If the exterior OSB panel was treated with a moisture resistant product, I would be all in. In North America we have a major affordable housing shortage. Maybe we should invite this team and a couple 1000 of their friends to come over and build a couple 100,000 units for us. But first we have to get the bureaucracy out of the way. I have said many times, in Canada we do not have a housing problem. We have a bureaucracy and permit problem. This group of workers can teach all of us that team work is the most productive work. Great work guys. 👏👏🙏🙏
The amount of team work! Like literally so organized One guy refulling foam One guy pulling the standing thing - handing the drill bavk & forth In most ppls world everyone would eb separately working miserably and dragging feet, talkign and complaining. This house is well built in today’s standard in building a house in the USA. I like it very much that you give me and my husband an idea on how to build a house cheaply and practically with of course kitchen, bathroom, shower room, etc.. Job well done guys.
It was great to watch them work together. Nice job! It would be nice if there was a second part where we could follow the internal works as well.
Wrap it before siding and I'm all in! What a great project house for both teaching construction, while at the same time providing affordable housing. Habitat for Humanity please take note.
In Europe it is forbidden to build houses using this technology, such building panels emit hazardous substances, this house is literally a killer, the concentration of carcinogens there is huge
I wasn't suggesting wrap for insulation so much as protection of that particleboard from moisture and changes in temps. I know modern particleboard is amazing, but it still falls apart over time, especially in exterior installations. JMHO😮

@@anneofgreengables1619 Great point about the snow! Here in the U.S., we use a lot of asphalt shingles. They are "snow magnets" the snow just piles higher and higher. In early spring, the snow repeatedly thaws and freezes creating "ice dams" especially around the perimeters of the roof. It is incredibly destructive.
@seymourscagnetti7777 that doesn't sound very practical for a snowy climate. I have the exact same roof panels as in the video (gray) which I had installed 10 years ago. When the temperature goes above zero and the snow starts to melt, it will all just slide off in one big piece. Freaked me out at first because of the noise and the house shaking. But works like a charm.

I've been building for over 40 years and I know there's many ways to do the same job so when guys see something being done ways that they're not familiar with they're always going to have a comment, maybe that their way is better Maybe there's only one way to do something and maybe they just don't know but someone's always going to have something to say. And what I always say is "everybody knows everything about everything and everybody's everything is different than everybody else's" Which can only mean one thing either they know nothing or they're just ignorant.
@@edtommerdahl974there’s still room for discussion though, I think this type of building is high quality and efficient and they did a great job from what you can see in the video. Unfortunately it wouldn’t be practical for North America that is some very high quality and expensive building material no one would be willing to pay for it here. Think about the price of insulated panels that they sell here and they use those for the entire house. You would easily pay over 100k for the building material as opposed to our traditional building material which would be half the price. Not trying to be negative but everyone in the comments saying this will solve our housing problem and go on saying construction here is a scam are giving us construction company owners a bad look as it’s very untrue. The problems lie elsewhere and new buildings material won’t solve them
@@edtommerdahl974insulated panels like that are going for 20+$/sq ft think about how much wall and floor space there would be in a house like that. 500 sq ft+ walls probably somewhere around 50k. Not to mention those headers would never pass a proper snow load so would need more work and $ there
I have been in construction all my life, I am super impressed with how these three guys work together. Also I love the foam core panels. If you don't have to worry about earthquakes or hurricanes this is a great system!
These guys work in Russia, where earthquakes are rare. Therefore, this house absolutely fits the bill. Especially the thickness of insulation, as you know winters in Russia are much colder those in Europe. Obviously, if they had been building in a seismic region, they would have used a different design.

We do not seal them. How would our government make a killing off our oil reserves if we made our home economical?
Ну очень не дорогой 😮
@@RobertFletcherOBE Depends on where you are and what your budget is. Well-sealed/airflow-manage home construction is still pretty new here overall, and many regions don't see it very often for cost and climate reasons.

We havthose here in Finland. They look great and the snow slides right off.
Those keyboard builders know nothing about construction plus they are annoying.
В России мало где землетрясения и ураганы. А холодно почти везде:)
These guys work in Russia, where earthquakes are rare. Therefore, this house absolutely fits the bill. Especially the thickness of insulation, as you know winters in Russia are much colder those in Europe.
