Hi Chris, I have been an Angler over 40 years, started off fishing the shore in the NE of England as a lad, progressed to my love Trout fly fishing in my 20s, and have evolved into the Angler I am today. Trout, with a heavy slant toward Salmon & Sea Trout on the mighty Tyne & Coquet. You might wonder where this is going, well I always wear a lifejacket fishing on the rock edges an automatic one 190N to cover the weight of me and all the gear I wear when stood in the cold. But last week watching your videos, I decided to buy a shorty manual lifejacket for Salmon fishing. My wading is always ultra cautious, wading stick everytime, but now a lifejacket. And thats your fault........Worn for the first time Sunday gone. Tight lines
Wow, nice to meet you and thank you for taking time to give your life story 😊 👍. Very pleased to have influenced another person to wear a life jacket, it's just so dangerous to fish without one. Thanks for the support 👍
Chris, another epic episode. I know you said video preferably, but, if you can get a copy of hugh falkus, salmon fishing, its well worth a read, a lifetimeof knowledge in an easily read format. 👍
Hi Chris. I've fished for trout at this estate and found the Owners, husband and wife, very approachable, friendly and informative. I got the feeling that they do the best that they can to enable people to have a great day. The Usk is a great river and always nice to be on. Good luck with your next days fishing.
Hi David thanks for sharing, I never met the other members of the family but he was really cool. I couldn't help but think he reminded me of Keith Floyd 🤣👍
Great video Chris thanks for the shout out. Looked like you deserved a pull or two getting that fly near those trees. Glad you fish the rapids now after hooking those two on the Findhorn. I've had a few fish off rapids in the past. Looking forward to hopefully getting a day out with you again soon.
That 'Bungalow' pool just looked so so fishy, cant believe that you didnt stir something up! Maybe a big fly such as a 8-10cm Monkey stripped back and across quickly?
I like the drone footage at the start - is that you flying the drone Chris - got nice and low to the water I used to get nervous when I had a drone over water !
Thank you, yes that is me, Scott was in the river fishing. I am enjoying seeing what i can do with the drone except thinking it was a good idea to land it on the bonnet of my car a few days ago (spoiler, i crashed it, but its not broken) 👍
Good video Chris. That last place you fished looked so on for a pull but alas not this time. I have enjoyed your videos and look forward to next week’s episode. Hope to see you on the bank one day tight lines and keep the faith.
Enjoyed the video Chris as always. Keep making them. I am a trout and grayling fisherman rather than salmon but like watching salmon fishing channels like yours. Hoping to do it one day regularly though! Regarding watercraft, I haven’t searched for any such videos but just wanted to say that it all starts with watercraft for me. Feel if you ‘crack’ this then your catch rate is loads better. 👍
Chris it would help if you told us what your target fish was at the outset. Only when I saw the fly did I work out Salmon was the target. You did mention that later on - but later on in the video.

You're not wrong about the rivercraft videos.
Sadly true

Great video Chris, I was there midweek after the trout and it’s a fantastic place to be, I didn’t manage to land one though 😭
Thanks Craig, great channel btw, just subscribed to you. I've sent you a DM on Instagram, hope we can collab in the future. Chris
@@CornishChrisTheFish thanks Chris, have messaged you back and definitely want to collaborate 👊

I would have thought that the title of the video was a dead giveaway 🙄
