Good news in the [UK] Now all major rivers that run direct to the sea are getting runs of sorts some are seasoned rivers that have never hand any sort of pollution problems others are either slow on the mend or in some cases fast mending. One local Yorkshire river in Wensleydale the river Ure as seen on robin hood prince of thieves has gone from the very odd salmon to proper full on salmon runs and not confined to the ouse/ure (name changes near York city) the Ouse alone has about 8 maybe more rivers i know of most flowing to tidal areas some in freshwater-all are again major rivers and one boats the fastest currents in the [UK] scottish river tweed stock was used but the lower river where the humber and trent meet the ouse was a mess no bacterial life but as time moved on the Ure hatchery used some Norway stock and thats when everything exploded :-) now ive been salmon fishing 41 seasons since i was a teenager, seen one 30lb and one i caught me self never anything bigger in or out the water....that fastest river i mentioned fished it for barbel for yrs never seen or heard of salmon or sea trout, got a call theys fish at topcliffe i thought i was being hoodwinked so off i went seen 7 salmon in may 3 seasons back 3 in the side four in the middle rivers what 3 rod lengths wide (salmon rod) the four biggies well the smallest one was the biggest thing i ever seen the 3 others were off the scale for [UK] fish they had to have been in the mid forties maybe bigger. The humber trent and ouse drain 1/5th of [ENGLANDS WATER TABLE} streching from almost the scots borders so the middlands so its a huge system for [UK] if each river gets say 10k fish a season and the ouse and wharfe rivers get say 15k there abouts between them then the trent river ! the humber which leads ouse and trent to sea must be seeing some where near 100k fish it will be more those low end estimates - so cities like sheffield doncaster nottingham (trent) now see salmon runs for what first time in 400 yrsd in some cases wow what next euro sturgeon them rivers used to have them fish growing to 700 lbs back in the day.....Burbot were native now gone.but our salmon aint doing to bad considering.
If your going here then take a second to think about how lucky you are. The rest of us can't afford to be flown by helicopter out to some obscure untouched river just near the arctic circle.
Making rivers privet. . . only in russia, that is messed up! Old rich fishing only. . . sad how even nature is being made privet welcome back to sherwood forest.
AG Coarseman how many rivers in the western world have been made privet to accommodate guided fishing? Yes this place is very unique a stolen national resource to be enjoyed by foreign old white money. Places like these go against every once of what it means to be an angler and outdoorsmen. Rivers and forest, the fish and animals in them are there for us all to enjoy not just big money. Sherwood forest 2017!
AG Coarseman ugh not not really the bullshit is what you speak of. Restricting public access to areas for the benefit of privet business is not conservation its privatization. Your from the uk so this is a familiar way of dealing with things to you but not in countries that have true wilderness that is for all citizens to enjoy. If you want to conserve and protect than you need to ban ALL access not just public. Maybe people like you should be restricted too from coming to foreign lands and enjoying their resources as if they were your own. Lots of carp to fish over there in the dirt holes.
r u fucking kidding me , only in russia , where the fuck r u from obviously not the us , where every nameworthy fly fishing river or creek has had its access property purchased for pennies , and yearly fees of magnitude financial fuckery are charged , not uncommon to pay 10, ooo a year in fees , just to enable you the right to fish a stream , plus probably 300 every trip u can bring a friend for 2k a day . if i were not a firm believer in civil disobedience and my right to trespass, but to cut back on many headaches ive become a skilled night time fly fisherman , amazing but true shit goes bumpo in the night , i put away my emergers midges , and size 22 to 26 , for mousie flies that make an atom popper subtle , also i fish the same waters as the rich assholes , they just dont know the size fish that live in their streams
Same for every river in the western governed world soon. Native people denied the right to feed their families with food god provides, so rich elites can fish it for fun....

@@jpmcc7302 in fact there aren’t a lot of locals. And the only ones that do live there are able to fish as much as they want. So no big deal😄
