Been thinking- I enjoy your videos and sympathise with your long 'commute'- not quite so bad for me but nevertheless a factor; maybe consider giving some more detail re the fishings ?- eg- if association water- how much water ? at what cost ? access to permits ? crowding ?;On estate water-where permitted- similar questions, and your views on the place; just helps to put the thing in context and could be a VERY good selling point for some of the lesser-known Scottish (and Welsh/English ?) estates. I think over the time I have viewed your videos you have fished more places in Scotland than I have done in a long lifetime ! Well done..

Welcome back ! Much though I love salmon fishing, spinning in larger rivers-once the pool/stream sequence is lost- is next to insanity in my mind. Until I packed in spinning I fished on small rivers here in N Wales, and though I will never match those days in terms of catches , I so enjoy using the fly. If you're going to pursue a sport which is essentially daft, why not go the whole hog ??

Hi chris, I put the shaft through a loop on the top of my bag and hang it down the front of it by folding the net over. The front if the bag being furthest from your back. Keep going anyway you've inspired me and I've fished the dee the ayr and s esk and I'm back on the dee we'd 25th I think it is next week at tilbouries due to you and thanks so much I'm loving it! Haven't caught a salmon but it's brilliant doing it so who cares?? Love it!

We built some houses in Welford back in the 80s and the river ran the back of the site. Me and my mate yoused to go and free line the river at dinner break with Putty on the hook. We had quite a few trout out to over 2pound, they all went back though. Happy days.
