Salmon Fly Fishing | Wrack | River Deveron | March 2024

A new river and a new beat for me. In this video I drove 1hr and 30 minutes from my base at Grantown on Spey to fish on the River Deveron at Wrack Fishings. It was a very windy day but I had a blast.
The beat consists of 3 miles of mainly double bank fishing (part of the bank half way down Duff House Royal Golf Course in the ownership of Banff Angling Association) from the River Deveron Estuary to the Bridge of Alvah with a total of 8 named pools. There is a main fishing hut where tackle can be securely kept and two further huts on the bank for use during the day. 3 boats are available to access both banks at various locations and a full time Ghillie is at the ready to help you on the beat. All the pools do provide some excellent Brown Trout fishing, too, with some large fish to be caught up and down the beat.

One of my fav salmon,seatrout and brown trout rivers,had a great week few years ago,2 grilse,14 seatrout and 30 browns,8 lb seatrout and 4lb brown trout,Mayen beat,June.another good video,keep them coming,boom.

Lovely video again sir one of the guys I meet now and then that used to be his home water and said back in the day was some salmon water they used to get a lot of big fish of it especially at the back end
