  • I go into a knee evaluation and discuss the findings with each special test and how we come to the conclusion of a torn ACL. A huge THANK YOU to the patient for allowing us to show this on her. Enjoy!

Thank you! I am a Wilderness First Responder and work in the field as an instructor. Knee and ankle injuries are the most frequent thing I see! This helps my diagnostic chain quite a bit. Out in the field correctly evaluating this can make the difference between treating in place or a sometimes difficult evacuation situation.

if she would have been able to bear weight after injury, would you have been more suspicious of a meniscus injury instead of an acl?

A long time ago I had a mishap at my previous job, where I tripped over a pallet backwards and my leg went one way and my left knee went the other way and I heard a loud pop. I don’t think I swelled up that much but I couldn’t tell if I did. I suspect I may have torn my acl but I’m not sure. I can’t have it looked at my insurance won’t cover it. Please give me some help advice on what to do.

It's hard to notice when you minor injury.. of course it's not as bad as the fully acl tear.. but in future it would ruptured anyway
