This place is super nostalgic to me. Despite the memories being slightly vague I do just about remember the place when it was John Lewis. I was only 6 when they moved out of the George Henry Lee building and over to Liverpool One. So I’m probably quite lucky to even remember any of it at all tbh. I know that you mentioned that you couldn’t find many pictures of the inside of the building online, especially from back when it was John Lewis. I dug deep in the depths of the internet and Flickr albums a couple of months ago and I actually managed to find quite a few. Some of them are photos of areas I actually remember from in the store from when I was little. Seeing all these recent video’s about this place is actually inspiring me to make my own documentary on the place and doing an upload to TH-cam. Where I can mention a lot about my personal experiences and memories of the place too. I know it’s in a right state now but 15 years ago this place was in mint condition. I did decline slightly while Rapid was in there, but John Lewis did a good job keeping this place maintained when I was little.
