Don’t know if anyone mentioned this yet. Small rules mistake - once a building is chosen to be Under Construction during the Planning Phase on future rounds if you decide to discard it for the one resource the cube can only be placed on your empire, not onto already under construction buildings.
So far I've only played this solo, and I'm thoroughly addicted. The solo scenarios are great and the designers are posting new ones online regularly, it seems.
Thank you for all these great entertaining GameNights - love watching and send greetings from Germany :-D I find the box very big for the just stack of cards and some tiny cubes - why do publishers never keep in mind that players shelf space is limited *lol*
Loved this video and love the game. Bought it for my birthday . Only played solo so far but it is a lot of fun for me. Thanks for introducing it in this video. I have made purchases of other games that you guys have played on game night as well. Thanks again.
I had to come see this, even though I think I watched it when it first went live. I've been playing this game the last couple of weeks and wanted to relive it with you guys. That was so much fun Because Dave doesn't have Twitter, tell him I love his teaches and his little movie quotes. You guys are the best.
Second time watching this deciding if I want to get this game. Really like it but looking at Cascadia as well. Thanks again for a fun time watching and hearing your thoughts!
Clearly, the wrap-up discussion is a very interesting sequence. And I appreciated the enthusiastic attitude of Deborah for the cleanliness of her playground at the end (no more card, no more cube). It’s clear that B face is more challenging than A face ; in addition, KS version gives two other conditions which are even more expert. Great video for a great game
I just wanted to say 3 things: 1. The game seems to be great, I've just bought it because of you guys. 2. You are all fantastic and very kind and it is always a lot of fun to watch you play and interact with each other. 3. DEBORAH IS SO, SOOOOOO PRETTY
This really surprised me how far you got in only 4 rounds. I love the look of this game. definitely going to buy it when available. I am so with Deborah, love the efficiency of her game. And yay for Nikki winning.
this weekend I will be at a board game fair to explain this game to the public! I benefit a lot from the explanation Dave has given so that I can start doing this the way he did. The fair is in Utrecht in the Netherlands and is called ''Spellenspektakel''. I'm definitely going to eat a ''broodje Leverworst'' there 31:46
Sorry if i'm wrong but i think, that, at the beginning of her second round, Nikki discarded a zeppelin that was already in construction. In that case, she cannot use the produced resource for construction, but she must put it on her civilization card.
@@BoardGameGeekExpress since i know that game, i have skiped the teaching part, which is usually brilliant. That explains why you did not line up the cards of your hands apart of the cards already in construction (but Deborah). That way, you can easily manage the rule of resources. Rewatching this after my Heritage KS turned up and trying to see why I did so bad in first solo last night where I got 22 points! Great game though. Enjoyed it. 😂
generally I hate engine builders because before i know OR care , someone is leaps and bounds ahead of me with their mechanisms ... but this was a nice watch and a surprise great win by nikki !

Im not sure if Ill jump on this game, the lack of interaction between players (aside from the draft) is my main issue. But otherwise it looks like a really nice and easy game to learn, and what a beautiful one at that! The art and components just stand out so well! Hmm...Maybe, sometimes I play with people who dont enjoy competitive games, this at least is the player vs the game more than anything else...Hmmmm

Dont know if its in the comments but once you take recycle a building that was under construction youre not allowed to use that resource on the other under construction buildings. You can only use them to get 5 in your empire to get the red ones
There are more than that. Nikki is the only one with a 100% attendance record. I will bow out if the game shouldn't have 5 or if we need 3 (and we have someone here to take the spot). -Lincoln
Have I been playing wrong? The financier multiplier says X1. The financiers are worth 1 point. Nikki has 16 financiers and X3 multiplier. Scoring 48 points. Her total at end game should be 64. This would make it a much closer game too.
I see why the developers say you have to hate draft to help win. Nikki's finance strategy was clear from the beginning but everyone kept letting her get cards that produced finance people.
it doesnt really matter, bc at any time u can recycle cards or contruct them. i guess this is just in the rule so that players dont get confused about what they wanted to do, especially in the later rounds with lots of cards.
@@MarkBuschhaus you can recycle cards for resources only during the planification phase, and only the 7 drafted cards. Other recycled cards only give one fifth of a crystallium.
@@stephaneschneider2365 Dang it, it's right there on page 6: "Discarding a card Under Construction: At any time, you can discard one of your cards Under Construction. If you do, collect its Recycling Bonus, placing the Resource on your Empire card. You lose any cubes and Character tokens that were on the discarded card; they return to their respective supplies. Careful: This action is not particularly profitable; it is more efficient to recycle Development cards during the Planning phase, because you can place the Recycling Bonus on your cards Under Construction. This action is only useful to work toward generating Krystallium cubes, using cards you know you can no longer construct."
@@MarkBuschhaus It makes things more easily managable because the resource generated from a discarded card from your hand (bottom line) can be put wherever you want, on cards in construction OR on your civilation card, where, resources generated by discarded cards already in construction (top line) can only go on your civilitaion card, but cannot be used on cards on construction... SO it is easy if you first discard cards of you hand and collect the resources, then move the remaining cards to the construction line.. then pcae the collected resource cubes. and finally.. i lyou want yuo can discard cards from the construction line, put resources on your civilization card, eventually produce Kristalium, that you can you whenever you want
Interesting game, nobody expected Nikki to win. My favourite part was the surprise she won... and I had feared for Nikki with this engine builder.
