      I won't say I am Labpano ambassador lol. I just review EVERY 360 camera out there and Labpano is a big player. I don't get special treatment lol. I don't have the insight and I don't think I will invest in the insight - honest I never hear of it until recently I saw a post in the group. I think it is a special design for Chinese market for weather proof setup - outdoor 360 livestream. It is water proof and dust proof - but still smaller sensor. And a lot more expensive. But I really don't have much info there.

    How long can you shoot Google Street View for? I'm seriously considering this for a community project and am looking at the 128GB model. Does it record up to the battery life (~ 2 hours from what I've read)? I wonder what the file sizes are under your Ultra High bitrate settings, since I'm hoping to use this on long bike rides and will try to extend the battery life by plugging in an external battery block. Also I noticed you weren't using the heat sink despite what looks like a pretty hot day. How did that go? Thanks for looking at this and uploading your videos, been going through them a lot. And best of luck on those cliffs :)

  • @GoldenFeedings
    @GoldenFeedings 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I was wondering how the Street View video works. If you go down a path, there's a dead end and you turn around, does it keep recording on your way back? Is it best to stop the recording if you know you'll be traveling back over the same path? So you said the 360 path takes priority over single 360 spots, but how does that work if you record a sidewalk next to a street? In Las Vegas on The Strip, the sidewalk areas have tons of 360 spots, but no paths. Is it even possible to make another 360 path next to a street?

    • @hughhou
      @hughhou  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Google will take it as long as it is not exactly same GPS - which is close to impossible as google map GPS getting a lot more accurate. So for density map area like Vegas - your result will still show but people need to put in the GPS exactly to see your result and not others.

      @hughhou  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Any 360 camera will work - the only problem is GPS. I tested all camera, Theta Z1 and ONE X2 the GPS is NOT correct most of the time in street view path. I think PATH is really important to have exact GPS pinpoint - so far only enhanced Insta360 Pro 2 and Pilot One EE (or ERA) has reliable GPS.

    • @ALavrov
      @ALavrov 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Ricoh Theta Z1 has no GPS at all that is why it is totally reling on your smartphone GPS and it is great because you may use Google Pixel 5 smartphone like I am and have the best GPS algorithm which allows to make blue lines even under bridges and inside short tunnels (the best in class Google Pixel location algorithm approximate your location for a short time while GPS signal totally lost).

    Hi, i checked the price, currently it's $1,800 from China. I do have a question, right now in my town, with my Iphone I did some 360 pictures with the Streetview App from Google. I uploaded them, but I thought that they would show in the streetview of Google maps (it doesn't, it still shows views from 2014 etc.) However, in Google Maps, it does show photos from other people and my 360 photos. So the question is, will Google not incorporate my 360 shoots in their Streetview of Google Maps, and only have it on the side as picture uploads from other people? I wanted to update my town's streetview. Hope you will answer, thanks.

      Yes, I mean cost per 360 photo creation. Not money you made from Google. GSV to me is more like a marketing tool to get your service to your potential clients as GSV badges is kinda useless now. It is better to let your potential client discover you on Google - and if you can have lots of 360 photos on Google (and hopefully replace the old one - that is the goal), that will be easier for you to pitch your clients and show them you mean business :) It is a number game sadly in GSV - I am sharing my number game approach. In general for job - I use SONY A1 with robotic arm - as you see in my other videos.

You know those times when you always blow your budget to get a system that meets 70% of your needs, hoping it will last you a couple of years BUT can't afford the top of the line, to be sure?
