  • I have been using Go Thru for almost 6 months to publish my Google Street View tours, and so far I have been really impressed!! So I thought I would do a short(ish) video to show how I use it.
    If you are interested in trying out Go Thru, then I would really appreciate it if you could use my link below. It costs you nothing, but it helps to support this channel. Thanks very much!!

    Thanks for this video - I just started trying out my work flow last weekend, discovered GoThru and posted a couple of trial "blue line" tours to see how they come out.
    How long does it usually take from publishing to Google before the line is visible on Google Maps?
    I've been asked to add a long hiking trek (3.5km) to Google, and I figured I'd take shots at every change in direction or senic spot (to give the experience of the route without every single step - and the blue line to follow the flow, not too jagged)...
    I made my own backpack mount with Thetha Z1 on top - I tried walking with interval timer catching the shots, but there was a lot of post-processing straightening the landscape! - For the second attempt I stopped and fired the shutter with the "handheld-HDR" setting active and got great results with zero post-processing required and all landed correctly on the map with GPS. A slower walk, with download of each image to the phone taking some time, but good results.
    I'd appreciate any thoughts you'd have on how I might improve the process? (I tried recording video straight to the Google Street View app, but couldn't get the app to connect to the Z1)
    Thanks for your content, it's really practical and clearly delivered.

    As a fellow 3DV user, self-hosting client tours, do you have a PRO account with GoThru?
    I too would probably only use GoThru to submit tours to GSV/Google Business, but notice the Pro account only allows for 10 Google submitted tours.
    It only costs $10 per tour on a PAYG set up, so wandering wether this is a better solution?

      If you are doing more than two GSV tours a month, then it is worth getting the Pro version. The limit of 10 is per month, then you can pay $2 for each extra one if you have a busy month. If you do decide to sign up, then I would appreciate you using the link in the description. :)

      @@NickPowellPhotography Ah OK, thanks for the info.
      Just learnt that GoThru also has easy to view statistics for each tour added too, whcih is a nice bonus feature - th-cam.com/video/3vdlIc0LO1w/w-d-xo.html
      Also, just spokje with GoThru, who confirm that you have 2 or 10 (depending on acount) submissions PER MONTH and will look to update there websit to make this clear ;)
      Thanks for taking the time to create teh video. Will definitly be using it!

    Maybe a silly question here but when would I use 3D Vista and when would I use Go Thru for 360 work? Is it a situation of using one over the other or both in conjunction? The way I understand it is Go Thru allows for easy publishing into the Google Ecosystem aka Google Street View along with the arrowed tours of the business. Then 3D Vista is used for portfolio or client work for showcasing their properties on their own www website? Correct me where I may be wrong. Thanks in advance and great video!

      Yes you have hit the nail on the head. I use GoThru for Google Street View work and 3D Vista for custom high end tours. 👍

    Hi, I want to start doing GMB virtual tours for clients. Is there a way to set the tour to private until the client has paid? Thanks

      I don't think so, however you can unpublish it if they don't pay.

    Can we add multiple level to GSV using 3dvista?

    • @NickPowellPhotography
      @NickPowellPhotography  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's mentioned in the video. Unfortunately you aren't able to do multi level in 3D Vista, and this is why I use GoThru for my GSV tours. 3D Vista however is absolutely amazing for custom tours for clients to use on their website and share on social media.

    I added 10 blue lines to GSV using GoThru, after a week all of them are not showing the way I want. Some 360 imagess are upside down or not level after using their tools, and some of the pictures are not showing in GSV even I reviewed in GoThru a hundred times and corrected yaw, location, and leveling. - not happy :(

    • @NickPowellPhotography
      @NickPowellPhotography  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Have you contacted support? Levelling etc should be corrected outside GoThru.

      @@NickPowellPhotography , I have a Pro account, GoThru has an "Edit" tool that suppose to do the leveling - it is not working.
      I'm wondering if I am alone on this, I am using Labpano Pilot One (EE) camera, I only need the GoThru to some of my files that failed GSV processing due to some GPS gap, so far I got no success.

    Why not use 3D Vista instead of Gothru to publish your tours to Google since you use both?

    • @NickPowellPhotography
      @NickPowellPhotography  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Go Thru is a bit more detailed when it comes to GSV. For example you can add multiple floors etc, and tours tend to publish faster. 3D Vista is designed for custom tours which it is the market leader in, Go Thru are the same for GSV.

      If you want a good product that works, you will normally have to pay. You could use the Google Street View app, but I am not sure if it works properly anymore.
