I would recommend adding some high density sponge on the display unit from the inside on the top and bottom as this reduces rattling noises when going offroad.
Well you made that look easy so well done and I would love a review on how everything works for you especially the maps etc and what option you use to play music and how the radio stations work cause some have issues with the fm antenna setup
Thank you and for sure I'll do a review in maybe 2 weeks, to play music I downloaded spotify on it and just downloaded a bunch of play lists so I can listen off line, the unit had 64gb so plenty of storage to download. But in the week I've had it downloaded I've been very happy with it

I've been on the fence about getting a screen system as I love my CDs when I go out where there's no network, but the wifi on this one to download Spotify playlists might just push me over the edge to make this my next upgrade! Looks awesome and very well documented with all the steps!

The gromit actually wasn't to bad to put it through I tied a string to a tent peg and pushed the peg through, then it was fairly easy to pull the wire through. And I just ran the wiring from the head unit behind my accelerator then through the floor tucked in away then had the wire through the boot trimmings then to the back door, it was fairly easy I'll maybe add it into the walk through video I'll do
Super useful. Thanks Bia! Only bit I'm struggling with is feeding the USB cables to the glove box. Just can't find a path to a hole where I can feed the cables through. Did you have to remove it to get the cables in?
I ended up leaving 2 of the usb plugs just stuffed behind the dash as I didn't need them. And pulled 1 through, next to my traction control button. It dosnt look the greatest I still need to tidy it up just sometime I get to lazy even tho it's been over a year now whoops hahs

I am trying to decide between a couple of different brands and I’ve heard that some have problems in this area. Thanks in advance.
It will be interesting to see if this head unit still lives 36 months from the date of installation. I had a similar unit in my VW. One extremely hot day. 41C outside and the screen digitiser died and the screen lost touch functionality. But definitely something I would install in my Gen4.

Hey thanks for watching the video. The only wisdom I can share is that running the wiring for the camera all the way to the back door can be a bit titious so give your self plenty of time to run the wiring correctly
@@bia4x4 thanks. FYI, after doing some research, it looks like my 2014 model has the speed sensor in the same loom, and the wiring sends it to ground. there is a CANBUS option which may fix it
Thank you for this .. but I have a question .. when installing a new screen .. an audio error shows up on the top screen .. i think there is a connection between the old unite and the top screen by a cable if you notice .. and the new screen doesn’t have a place to connect the top screen with the new screen .. do you have a solution for this
I never really used the hands free before the unit. It's not working with this new unit but I haven't tried to work it out or play around with it bc I've never really needed hands free, no one ever calls me😅 I'm sure there's a way to get it working but I can be bothered

Thanks for the sub and welcome to the channel. The gear knows and handbrake came on my car like that, mine was a special release paj so they're stock on my model. But u might possibly find some qt the wreckers if your lucky

Hello. We have same aftermarket head unit but when I installed the head unit, i got an ASC OFF, speedometer not running and a check engine error. But when I return the original head unit, they are all gone and back to normal. Any help would greatly appreciated.
Hey sorry I wouldn't know why the ASC would be affected as I don't think any if the connections on the aftermarket headunits connect to it. Your best bet would to try and call where u got the head unit from or even try and auto electrician. But if u find out what the problem is let me know I'm curious
No I didn't but I think I did have a comment of this video about a year ago asking a similar question. Maybe try finding the comment and see if the other guy came up with a solution

I'm happy if there is someone would show the Rockford fosgate. Its far different from the basic stereo.expensive if done in car stereo shops. Amp, canbus, steering wheel control ..etc is complicated. Than this plug and play basic. If not done correctly. Cruise control and speedometer will not work.
@@jackman2865 I have just installed this Extnix Premium head unit in my 2010 NT Exceed that has the Rockford Fosgate amp. The unit came with the harness necessary to connect to the Rockford. The install was every bit as simple as shown in Bia's video. Cruise control is not impacted. Steering wheel controls for the head unit as per Bia's video. I chose to retain the factory reverse camera - just a matter of pluging it in. The sound is far superior to the MMCS. Wireless Android works well. Just an incredible upgrade for $750.
Watch out for your battery needing replacement every 12 months - the unit doesn't go into full shutdown mode and will have a parasitic draw which destroys batteries.
Your happiness and excitement for the newly installed head unit bought a smile to my face its great. Enjoy the new screen.

There is no solution to it as you remove the factory unit. Simply change the Audio error display to Fuel display :)

You need to cut wire(mine was blue)on the corner of the plug which mates up with the white wire with blue stripe on the Pajero harness plug.
