    • @localsnek

      I love the idea that DRG is just a really far-future fantasy setting, like all the mythological creatures have long since fallen and the races like dwarves and elves have become spacefaring civilisations fighting over interstellar land as opposed to the fantastical ones of old. DRG's universe is so damn ripe for worldbuilding beyond the space stuff, I'd love to see them hint at that kind of stuff.

    • @BrineyConsumption63
      @BrineyConsumption63 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@localsnekI like to think that the dwarves live in a sort of bubble, just mining away at the planet. It's just that Hoxxes itself will be affected by outer sources. Maybe next season will have to do with a Mana Storm or something that begins to affect the bugs and the terrain, but the dwarves would be unaffected because they are magically deaf or something.

      @@trjaudio Mange af dine sange er på min playliste. De er bare virkelig gode, når man er ude og gå/træner.
      De rammer perfekt, fordi der er nok tempo og energi i dem, til at man kan bevæge sig til rytmen. Samtidig så er det heller ikke for hurtigt, så man ikke kan nå det.
      Der er også dem, som ikke spiller, når der er swarms/flygter til drop pod. Fx *Ode to the Fallen* .
      Den er nok min ynglingssang sammen med *Robot Getaway* .
      *Ode to the Fallen* er både trist, glad og en blanding til sidst. Jeg synes, at den er rigtig god, til at få en til at føle sig som om man er i _Memorial Hall_ . Den får mig til, at tænke på at man mindes de døde. Men man skal også være håbefuld på fremtiden/at komme videre og fortsætte deres arbejde.

      It feels as if a dwarven burial is taking place on hoxxes. or as if we are hearing a song made to remind the dwarves of the homeworld they came from. like a cultural anthem for the dwarves that accepts both the new scifi mining company we know them for, and the ancient days of mining deep below rocky mountains together. It is a nostalgic feeling of melancholy, but also one of pride. it embodies his journey starting as the sound designer to now leaving really well too, starting off as a greenbeard but growing his talent immensely over time.

    Troels' beautiful scores added so much to this already fantastic game. Those songs get the blood pumping. It makes you feel so isolated and alone. It added scares, thrills, and down time that was so necessary. This is a beautiful swansong, and I can't help but thank him wherever he is, whatever it is he's doing. Rock and Stone.

    I remember the mission where this song hit me as clear as day... An escort mission, hazard level 3, sandblasted corridors and as driller on Solo... I tend to just play solo because I just prefer to be alone with Bosco. But this music going through made me realize how...quiet...it is by yourself. I describe my driller's personality as "an old veteran that would rather have bosco and himself over an actually competent team". But, hearing this song brought a sort of lonely feeling and i was walking around basking in the music more than i was running around refilling dotty. Its...wierd...

    Thank you for all your work at GSG, Troels. The sound design of DRG is one of the unseen heroes, adding so much atmosphere and character to the mines while remaining almost unnoticed by the conscious mind. Deep Rock wouldn't feel the same without it. The music just adds to that with the future-retro aesthetic, delivering everything from terror to wonder with its synthy goodness. I hope I never don't stop to appreciate Fathomless Tomb when it comes on. May GSG keep up the level of audio design quality that Troels brought, and may he find rich mines and good beer wherever he goes next. Rock and Stone, Troels; you've made us proud.
