Tere Bin's Murtasim is a fantastic husband and son. I loved the scenes where he talks up his wife in front of his mother and talks up his mother in front of his wife. He perfectly balanced both women in his life...even when Maa Begum is bad mouthing her, he defends her...so he doesn't let either women feel inferior to the other which i thought was brilliant....otherwise in our dramas there is always..meri maa ki izzat karo werna, meri maa sab se achi hai...none of that, which was so fresh and nice to see.
And of course their chemistry is fire...all the scenes in the last two episodes were so well done. Yumna and Wahaj were excellent.

      @aliciawayne ปีที่แล้ว +20

Apart from the awesome chemistry between the leads, this was my favorite part of the last episode: Murtasim not bad mouthing his wife in front of his mother, and vice versa. Well written and performed.

    • @shubhiagarwal8977

yes.. I love this moment of balancing... amazing... he says to meerab to respect his mother and he does not talk to his mother to make her realize she is wrong and sort of warning....
it's something we usually don't see in dramas but it should be.. they are usually inclined towards one person totally.
I hope he will be like this... he is teasing meerab but I hope he is not playing with her 🤞

Murtasim has my respect for actually defending Merub so logically infront of Maa Begum! He's shown he's an empathetic human who feels Merub's pain and would do everything he can to save her from her own created mess. She's lashing out at everyone because of the pain and trauma she's been dealt with. When he sees her missing in room he goes to check on her and somehow made her feel better even if he had to scare and then tease her (Romance was just a bonus 🙈😂❤️) He then tells her that he can't see her cry and it hurts him, you can actually see him frustrated about these overwhelming emotions he feels for Merub. The next morning he helps her with that chain and uff! What a scene. Both of them were just lighting the screen on fire. And subtly reminds her about the Qayamat he can create! And that 'PLEASE MUJHE MAT CHORNA!' Itne pyaaar se bola Murtasim ne Haaye! I'M CRUSHING OVER MURTASIM AND ITS BAD! OKAY! NOT GETTING OVER THIS MANN ANYTIME SOON! 😭❤️❤️❤️❤️

Tere bin: Pathan, SRK, in India and Wahaj as Saad and Murtasim in Pakistan are touching heights of popularity, success and love. Both Saad and Murtasim have become dream boys, heartthrobs.😊 Meerab won’t be able to resist the charm of Mutesim for long. He is eroding the thin wall of ego that Meerab has erected between her and him, with his care and responses like,” please muje mat chourna”. Mutesim is attracted towards Meerab, he liked her for what she was, opposite to Haya. He understands her pain, wants to help and protect her. The hot headed feudal, who did not take nonsense from anyone, is restraining himself showing extreme patience for those reasons. He is, maybe, under the guilt of his slap too, which was a moment of spontaneous reaction to her rudeness, when he was unaware of what had happened to her. The way he clinched his fist while she was dancing, showed he was angry but controlled himself and took her away to protect her from Maa Begum.

Tere Bin - Loving it! It’s pure entertainment but also a solid drama. I actually think these two episodes ep ep12 was the best one yet. I think Wahaj & Yumna’s chemistry is on fire & their flirtatious/romantic scenes esp from Murtasim’s side was so enjoyable to watch. I also love how characters are being written - Murtasim seems to be one of the most sensible & ideal husband’s on televison that I’ve seen in a long time - the way he takes a stand for his wife infront of his mum but also tries to make Meerab understand was great to watch - it was good to see a guy actually manage a saas-bahu relationship well. Loved the fact finally, Meerab’s parents got Anwar to speak to Maa Begum about her treatment towards Meerab. I can’t praise Wahaj Ali enough! He has such a huge margin to perform & he is excelling in every part/shade of the character 👏 Love Murtasim & the way he is being portrayed to perfection. I think Yumna’s performance was really good in these two episodes as well. It’s my favourite drama & I can’t wait for this week’s episodes!

Let's all collectively agree that we all are watching Tere Bin for Wahaj and Yumna. I totally enjoyed the episode after such a long time. Ohh gosh Wahaj was just so good throughout the episode.
Honestly they had this kind of spark in Dil Na Umeed Toh Nahi itself and I remember when it was on air, people were so happy that they got casted together by a ace director like Kashif Nasir but as usual masterpieces usually go underappreciated. People were literally expecting them to work together again in a script where their chemistry gets utilised to the fullest and the day it was announced people went crazy and here we are to witness the sizzling chemistry. Tere Bin might be a mediocre script with everything being cliche but the fact that these two brilliant actors are working together again with that palpable chemistry is what keeping the audience hooked to the show!!😍❤

I think murtu is falling for her, specially strong headed man like challenges and Meerub is proving to be bit of a challenge for him. He probably understands what she is going through and giving her space to let out her vengeance meanwhile being confident that he will win her over with his kindness and also at the same time, as a man he probably feels the pressure to make his married life appear happy as it can become a big taunt for him that he couldn't handle a woman, what would he do as a feudal. about the threats that he is giving, I think there is alot at stake on his side aswell .

This should be a message to Pakistani screenwriters and producers that we want to see romance instead of violence. Murtasim made the audience get butterflies by just flirting in one episode so you can imagine if they started making more shows like this how many people will tune in to watch. In my opinion, Kuch Ankahi and Yun Hi are stellar shows even though we only have seen the first few episodes the performance and chemistry in those shows are undeniable. I can't wait for Sophia and Thanvi Uncle to start their romance and for Salman to move upstairs with his mother in Kuch Ankahi. Yun Hi introduces a new story with legendary actors and new talent, it's fun, light-hearted and well-made. Both Kuch Ankahi and Yun Hi deserve to be watched.

I am a bit disappointed with #Amna’s hyper-focus on the styling of Yumna’s character as she seems to focus only on the appearance and not the content of the character. In the last episode that #Hassan and Amna is reviewing here - Meerub is actually talking about inequality and the feudal system, which she doesn’t believe in. The conversation with Murtasim on the roof is not only about romance but also her standing her ground and him supporting her. The styling is only one aspect and we should expect the styling to be different of a feudal household compared to an urban household as seen with Haania’s character in Mujhe Pyar hua tha. I hope you will try to go a bit deeper in your analysis of the drama next time. I always enjoy your reviews and programs so it’s only because I have so high expectations of you that I’m respectfully expressing this ☺️

Tere Bin : The views on TB speaks on how much people are enjoying it. Meerab probably isn't taking revenge, but having a hard time to settle in the new environment, her dancing was more of impulsive then a revenge plot. Murtasim keeps on trying to balance between Maa Begum and Meerab's actions.
Yumna and Wahaj have set the bar for chemistry really very high through Tere Bin. All the cheeky flirting by Murtasim and almost falling Meerab is so so so good. It's also really bold, in that direction. I'm really enjoying the Murtasim Meerab falling in love phase.
Once again, the slaps just take so much out of otherwise a really enjoyable plot. I'm glad Murtasim spoke for Meerab infront of Maa Begum.

Yunhi: Such a blatant Islamophobic trope that was showcased, calling a bearded man who’s wearing shalwar/kameez/topi a terrorist. And no Pakistani American thinks that way. I’m a Muslim American Pakistani who’s lived her entire life in the US, and am now raising my children here as well. We’ve lived through the 90’s and early 2000’s where there were many misconceptions, stereotypes, and prejudices against Muslims. We’ve been through marches and protests trying to combat Islamophobia. We are surrounded by people like the character in Yunhi, and never once does a person (unless they’re intentionally showing their racism and xenophobia) assume that someone dressed in a certain attire is a terrorist. These tropes are blatantly shown in Bollywood and constantly criticized for their misrepresentation, yet it was so casually shown in this drama. Unless “Kim” is a five-year old who was born and raised in Utah, there’s no reason why she should react the way she did.

And there's no point of arguing with maa begum when meereb already got slapped at that time that's why he chose to remain silent that time but in the next morning he smartly makes maa begum understand that he'll not tolerate that type of behavior with Meerab as she is his wife now.

First of all very happy with such diverse and enjoyable string of dramas on air these days. The second half of 2022 was really low on watchable dramas . I really enjoyed Sar e rah, Yunhi, and Hum dono. Their first episodes were lovely and looking forward to watching new content, brilliant acting, superb direction and production.
Sar e rah: I agree with Hassan when he said that we would like to see Saba in a more softer, lighter character where she is balanced by another equally competent actor opposite her. Glad that someone else also said it as I thought maybe I was the only one who felt that way. Saba is such a fine actor and has the potential to do so much more....she has really polished her craft, and is the best that we have in terms of a mainstream heroine who has it all to excel in both TV and Cinema, so a request to all film makers, please cast and use her in various other roles. Would love to see her on the big screen with Fawad Khan in a substantial movie. She looks very good with Mikael and Ahsan too.
Tere Bin: It's all about Wahaj and Yumna and they are the ones carrying it beautifully. For once I enjoyed Sirajul Haq's direction in Ep12, well executed romantic scenes which were performed competently by both Wahaj and Yumna. Like Amna said I'm enjoying Yumna's performance now, initially in the 2-3 episodes she annoyed me. Another thing I agree with Amna is Yumna's bad makeup and hairstyle, please can anybody get Yumna a good stylist!!

He even married her after she said yes, after she agrees. Happy to see good male role models (except the slap) instead of a stalker, who harass and gets females. The chemistry is on fire! all their scenes together are sizzling especially, the last episode loving it. The actor-directors all prduction well done!!!. I think Yumna, in the beginning, was establishing her sense of justice, her sense of equality was not preachy, that's why in the latter episodes it makes sense why she is so angry and standing up to her situation. I think Yumna has done an outstanding job in every episode of course, so did Wahaj . good story

In drama Yunhi when the phufo ask her Bhabi why she didn't object Abba and her husband inviting Doctor Naveel to their house, Bhabi says that in this household only the male makes decisions, and the female has to follow them, Nobody listens to female's point of view.
In one of the promo also when Daud(Bilal) and Dadaji was talking about his marriage with Kim, Daud says that she was born and brought up in America and she won't be able to adjust here with him and Dadaji says that women should always walk behind men, and Daud also has to make her walk behind him (I am not sure entirely but he says something like this).
And in the interview also Maya says that When Daud will marry he supports his wife ( Probably Daud and Kim will get married).
I guess that is a new thing about Yunhi. Kim will come to the house and gradually and beautifully will try to bring some change in the mentality of the family.
Even in real life also, I have seen husbands taking decisions for both husband and wife without even asking his wife or he ignores her advice, he thinks she doesn't have that much common sense or knowledge. Basically he thinks low of her. This has happened with my mother and this happens in joint families also. So I think this will be shown in the show how Daud supports Kim and how Kim gradually changes the thinking of Dadaji and everybody that girls also have right to speak and take her decisions.
In addition to this I really like love-stories of the extrovert female lead and the introverted, less talkative male lead. KIM and Daud will be such a couple . I have seen the OST and I could tell from teasers and OST that MAYA and BILAL will have great chemistry in this show
LOTS OF LUV FROM INDIA . LOOKING FORWARD TO YUNHI

The mom and Samiya’s tea scene in KUCH ANKAHI was very difficult to stomach. The mother is knowingly throwing her daughter into the fire and is trying so hard to justify it, all the while carrying a delusion that Samiya will mould her husband into the man that she wants him to be. Or she thinks her daughter should dominate him like his own mother does and be satisfied with that. This kind of thinking has destroyed many lives. Furthermore, she tells her daughter never to share her troubles with her family. Peak abandonment and selfishness. She’s a terrible mother.

I agree with half of your opinion but saying that she is a terrible mother is so wrong when you are not in her place... its not her fault but the society... i have seen suffering of parents and daughters when rishtas does not come in their houses... when you have to listen to all the bakwas of odd peoples you don't even know about... and its hurt more when it came from people you know... and obviously then rishta wali aunty is last choice... when you contact rishta walis they brings the weirdest human beings to your houses... who reject you after drinking and eating in your house on a phone call...
Shadi should not be only thing in our life... i understand that but you can't expect a woman who is born and grow up with this mindset to understand it... she is seeing that her daughter is 28 and still not married... i know she is wrong but it is what she is taught to do... she is taught that marriage is the only option for a daughter...
She is not a bad mother... but yeah she is not a wise one either...

Actuallly the reason TERE BIN is soo fun to watch is ROMANCE cause this is what actually you call romance ,in pakistani dramas we see flirt but not romance soo this is the reason we all are sooo in this drama

See the fact of the matter is that the key word is ENTERTAINMENT.. If we find it in Tere Bin we will watch it no matter how formulaic the content may be.. And in this case the execution is very fresh, edgy and keeps the viewer HOOKED.. another winning feature of Tere Bin.. That the moment you think you have it figured out.. Bang! It Surprises You!! Plus both Yumna and Wahaj are so so good In their roles.. Tere Bin for me is one of the best watches in a while

Well its enjoyable to see Murtasim and Meerab scenes. But we must not forget the Maliks factor. They were not introduced in the first episode for nothing.

Kuch Ankahi - I thought the same thing that Bilal and Sajal weren't in the scene until half way through the last episode but then later I thought about it and then realized that I thoroughly enjoy the other tracks in the episode that I don't "miss" the main leads. This drama the way I see it is about ALL of the characters and I thoroughly enjoy it. Example, I cannot for the life of me watch ANY episodes of Tere Bin, I've tried so many times but I just can't watch more than 5 mins of that drama...Kuch Ankahi is so different..even if they add a track for the darzi/tailor I'd still be entertained lol..

Kuchh Unkahi: Mira sethi's acting in that mother-daughter scene was really good. Her expressions were like that she us obeying her mother but is not convinced. Her character is selfless but not naive like conventional self sacrificing characters. She knows it's sacrifice. Phopho's love for phopha is so cute.
Shakeel's character is a mean one but I heard Adnan saying that he will transform after living with this family. Stories are little scattered, let's see how all these stories overlap with each other and are conculded. A fun watching overall

Yunhi totally missed the mark in portraying Pakistanis who are born & raised abroad.
“Kim” is more of a FOB who is visiting Pakistan for the first time since leaving the country and feels the need to show off how “westernized” she has become (100% a desi mentality and tactic).
These directors and writers are clueless regarding the lives and mindset of those who are ACTUALLY born & raised abroad. It’s such a turn off because it’s impossible to connect with storylines that simply miss the mark. Totally underwhelming.
