What you guys haven't reacted to is ... Maheer in the begining of the series cared so much for her father..feeding him meds..checking if he's eaten etc... He got paralyzed because of this connection of hers with areeb, she has no guilt about it, doesn't care to help her father get better, doesn't mention him at all, paralysis is not huge for her but areebs gun shot on arm is huge...
Yes true the writer lost her mind, mahir was sensible fun logical in the first few episodes but idk but is the writer trying to show girl's should not fall in love n try to stay in a forced marriage n be happy?. The writer even ruined Saad's character now..saad has become that heroine who keeps sacrificing for family who lost all their senses..n be like " mere pyar ke liye sab Kuch, pariwar ke sab Kuch type" doesn't matter if the partner doesn't care,, torture him, he should be firm now or just say " f**k off mahir, its enough now, instead it's seems he wants desperately mahir in his life as he is not leaving her..very disappointed.
Very poor writing. I missed the writer name before started watching, just trusted Wahaj and Hania's script choice.. otherwise i would not have wasted my time

In the interview Hasan had with both Wahaj and Yumna, they touched on chemistry, between Meerub and Murtasim, and between Maheer and Saad, and Wahaj said the chemistry presently is between Areeb and Maheer, and it will come later for Saad! I just don’t see when this will happen!

Maheer and Meerub. Two badly written female leads, written by women who seem to hate other women. However, Yumnas exceptional acting has somewhat saved Meerub and even managed to make a chunk of the audience sympathize with her. Hania, unfortunately hasn't been able to save Maheer, and everyone unequivocally dislikes her.

Agree with Aamna, Hania’s acting is same as Hala’s constantly whining, whereas Wahaj has given some nuances to Saad, if you see any picture of Wahaj, you can identify whether its Saad or not,slightly droopy shoulders melancholic look on the face. Thats what missing in Hania’s
@@Zeya_Khan I have no second thoughts on Wahaj's efforts, but, in MPHT I don't see his spark, may be that's how he is supposed to play it. Even his ad films and simple poses for Insta posts have so much energy and spark. May be Saad has to be a certain way, hence the acting is accordingly, but, unfortunately is not appealing.
The way Hassan was trying hard to defend Maheer and Hania was 🤐 I mean never saw him understanding or even trying to understand any other FL like he was doing for Maheer😂 That's why sometimes I feel these industry ppl are too bias for their favorite and now reviewers also going on to that direction and we as viewers can't get the genuine reviews on performances purely based on their craft. Not saying Hania is bad actor but Aamna was right about her.
Hania as Maheer: I agree with Amna that Hania is a very good actor but she’s not played Maheer really well. We don’t sympathize with Maheer at all. Maheer’s walking around like a zombie almost. Comparatively, Yumna as Meerab is also very poorly written. But Yumna is saving Meerab with her acting. You feel and sympathize with Meerab despite all her absurdities. But u feel nothing for Maheer.
Atleast with Merub it's Comedy of Errors.. Whenever she is doing good for others from her end then also she ends up somehow as the villian😂 Maheer is such a sad, annoying, pathetic girl who loves being the victim

Agree with Aamna that hania's acting is not impressive in MPHT it's just same as mere Humsafar......Meerab and maheer both characters are written very badly but still people loves Meerab as yumna's acting make it likeable.....though ofc there is some people who don't like Meerab also but still they have team Meerab present in tere bin fandom.....so a good acting can make you like the badly written character also. And Hassan I think you become little biased when it comes to mpht or maheer😅but it's okay we can understand it.

Strange that Hassan, in his pro Maheer state, feels that in MPHT, everyone else is responsible for Maheer's actions except herself. It is a no brainer that a 21 year old married young woman is NOT supposed to be in constant contact with her ex-lover. No one needs to tell Maheer this. If she is old enough to get married then she is old enough to know that it is unethical.

It should have been obvious to Maheer , that Areeb’s mom, would be behind Saad’s arrest after seeing them at the hospital. Instead of going to the Police Station to testify, Maheer chooses to go to see Areeb, earlier didn’t move from the hospital at night. She could have helped Saad, but her concern, restlessness for Areeb showed that she has not gotten over him and is still in love. She preferred Areeb over Saad, her husband , cousin, best friend, although Areeb was just shot in the arm. Neelo is right, time for Maheer to leave Saad on her own if she has a little bit of self respect. Both their moms so deserve each other. BTW, doesn’t the police wait for the gunshot victim, to regain consciousness and make arrest on his report? Not expecting Maheer to tell the truth.
Maheer is subliminally a by product of her mothers wishes, she is fickle, self absorbed, and selfish, she has ‘puppy love’ and cannot display real compassion for anyone as she is internally a callous, and cold person! She doesn’t even have an ounce of loyalty nor compassion to a childhood friend like Saad, and, if you recall in the very early episodes when she was demanding him to stay around her friends house( at the time of her friends wedding b4 she met Areeb); to help, and even Saad told her that ‘sometimes I wish you want me to remain for myself, and not just to help you ‘ ! I think he knows her character but is so invested in her emotionally to let it stop him from standing up for her, and now going into prison! I really cannot sympathise with her character! I’ve seen Hania’s performance in other dramas and in MPHT even she cannot save a poorly written character! She is monotonous and expressionless most of the time! I’m not sure she has any redeeming qualities or strength of character which makes these two men love her!
I think people who understand meerab and tere bin are mostly Indian including me 😅 bcoz I have seen indian shows & i have seen Korean dramas more than Indian dramas. And the world knows how Korean dramas r very well executed and class apart. Some Indian dramas r good but most of them are more illlogical and meaningless than tere bin. So we know where tere bin is lacking and what it's worth is. It is definitely worth watching.
Maheer 1. Couldnt tell her father she wanted to marry areeb cause she wanted to have her good girl image 2. Couldnt say no to her marriage with saad for the same reason 3. Doesnt leave saad for the same reason 4. Doesnt expose madar e areeb 5. Doesnt see saad, blames him for her actions 6. So bechari she cant even make chaye for herself 7. Sorry, but there was never a chemistry between the characters of MPHT. Areeb and Maheer's love at first sight was never convincing. And Saad and Maheer look more like siblings. Maheer has never ever looked Saad lovingly or doesn't even what colors her so called best friend likes to wear. I was surprised when you guys were discussing main lead's chemistry in the last episode and mentioned Wahaj and Hania. And we don't blame Maheer's character for this. Saad with his doormat attitude ends up looking like a looser. He just doesn't have any say in anything. Love is not everything. He needs to have some backbone too. This is the first time Wahaj was unable to create a chemistry with her female lead. Feel quite bad for him. I just hope Maheer ends up with Areeb. Saad doesn't deserve this selfish girl.
Agreed with the first part of your comment. Never saw a spark or any hint of chemistry nor character development between Areeb and maheer - which is why I thought maybe they intended it to be this way so that when Areeb’s chapter closes maheer will understand the difference between a meaningful love that develops after shadi vs an infatuation. (Esp because she even says I don’t know if I love him but I don’t want him to be out of my life so fast- she’s still figuring out what this new found attention means to her) But they’ve thrown the script to the dogs now and I think maheer shouldn’t end up with either guy. Saad should find someone worthy of his attention, that’s as far as a happy ending I can accept. The script is beyond redemption now.
The story line of unrequited love ( in silence);lends to no chemistry, but then again Areeb has no chemistry with Maheer either, it’s all so wooden to be honest! Whereas Murtasim is fiery in his declaration of his love for Meerub, and at times we see her go weak at the knees, but in Meerub’s case she is also resolute / stubborn, not to let his love cloud her quest to make them all cry for what they did to her!
I have never seen the worst character like Mahir till date. The charm of the drama is lost due to Mahir's absurd character. Stop watching this drama because it's just a waste of time and nothing else! 👎
A couple of days ago I saw an interview of Saima Akram Chaudhry, on another channel, where she revealed that she will not be writing Ramadan dramas for few years, as she is really disappointed with the channels, squeezing the life out of this idea. I think this genre( Ramadan dramas) has passed its “sell by” date and all the channels should get out of this game for good. Let’s see what happens when GREEN gets operational and changes the whole mindset of producers and audiences. Love for you guys as always.
Sorry to disagree hassan but no one came and wake you up. This is maheer's life and she has to take responsibility for it. She has to decide what she wants and who's important for her. She has to set her priorities and boundaries. She should wake up now and move on (with or without saad that's her choice).
Suggested ending for Mujhe Pyar Hua Tha: Maheer should die in the dukh of her 2 din ki mohabbat and tons of bezzati. Saad should remain the zinda laash that he is. Also, Areeb's family should end up in mental hospital for bad acting
Lol. But you're on point somehow. I'd like to suggest my choice of ending as well. Saad should gladly move on from Maheer and let her go to hell with Areeb. Saad should get married to someone else thousand times better just like him, or just stay single if it suits him. But Maheer should be shown suffering at the hands of Areeb's mother and that other two ugly women at his house. Extra care should be taken of Maheer's mother going through an infinite loop of her beti ki life barbad ho gyi with the faisla she took for her in the shape of Areeb and his crazy mother. The final scene being Maheer finding out that Saad loved her more than Areeb and has always been doing it. She wouldn't give a damn but anyway.

Fairy Tale has so many good points to it, Umeed and Farjad are solid characters so enjoyable to watch, but it does fall down on the points you've said. Also, I have a problem with Umeed's Dad, he's so overbearing. A shame it's not highlighted in drama.
Honestly, unpopular opinion, but even Wahaj's acting in MPHT is 😒 I haven't seen any episode, but, some clips on Instagram. Especially, the recent one wherein he was arrested. The acting looks forced. His character should have been named Sad and not Saad. Sorry, Wahaj I love you, have loved you as Jimmy and now Murtasim , and even your upcoming projects
@@Zeya_Khan hey, I have seen DNUTN, and it was really good, Wahaj was fab in it. Then I saw him in Tere Bin, and here also he has done really well. After watching MPHT clips, I don't have the guts to watch an entire episode. My judgement may be wrong basis a few clips here and there, but, I got no motivation to watch it. It looks like a very lethargic drama. I was impressed with the OST though.

MPHT: have stopped watching it already but saw this episode in bits n pieces and next episode's promo. And after seeing maheer's action I can only say that it is probably one of the worst female lead character ever written.period. I mean seriously saad is in the jail and all she cares for Areeb 👏👏 From the beginning till now everyone is saying "saad ka pyar" "saad ka pyar" but I want to know how saad fell for maheer at first place aisi kya achayi dekh li saad ne jo hum nahi dekh paa rahe... she has always been a selfish girl and still going strong with her selfishness. First, she made saad bad in everyone's eyes by telling him to reject their rishta as she loved someone else...fair enough. Then, at the wedding when she was asked ki usay qubool hai ya nahi...obviously she said "qubool hai" not because she was worried about her father or her family's respect but because she couldn't take the onus on herself and this time too she expected saad to say no so that her image remains clean...she even said it later "main na nahi kar sakti thi tum toh kar sakte thay na" wow maheer. And finally now she basically wants to be with areeb but that's not possible without Divorce so even after saad has said this many a times "ki jab kahogi chhod dunga" she stills wants ki uss par koi dagh na aaye and that saad divorces him and takes the a blame again and eventually she would then marry areeb the love of her life. Bas bechari keh nahi paa rhi and that too because she wants to project herself as a sacrificial goat. And special mention to her mother...maheer ka qasoor nahi woh puri apni ammi ki copy hai🙄 And yes I'm not going to say "I feel bad for saad"😑 hassan cannot justify everything by saying woh pyar karta hai maheer se...sorry, had this been a female character and if she would be suffering all this for her husband even after knowing that her husband don't give a damn about her and love someone else...would your reaction be the same. In this scenario People would have started calling out the drama and would have termed it as "regressive" and would want the female lead to leave her husband and be independent in the end, that would have been the ideal ending for the drama but here in MPHT's case People still want saad and maheer together in the end. I have no problem with happy ending but maheer is not a character that you want happiness for. Thank god TB is running simultaneously with MPHT otherwise where would us the wahaj ali fans go. I would anytime watch a TB and get entertained than watch a MPHT and get furious.
As much as I don’t understand it, love does not look for anything, it just happens. You can fall in love in an instant or after multiple things that build up. With Saad, it makes complete sense because they grew up together as friends; it’s super common for friends to fall in love because of the time they spend together. I completely agree that Maheer is very selfish and wants Saad to take the blame for everything. If I were a man, I would probably not fall in love with someone like that…but I am not Saad who spent my whole life with her.
I think it could be that he has projected this "love of his life" persona in Maheer since childhood. It is normal when you're young to fall in love with people without realizing that they're not the best for you. As you get older, you realize how important respect is in a relationship. I don't think Saad has realized this yet.
Hassan sir, how much do u defend Hania as Maheer, it's too obvious, that her acting is not good, especially when it comes to crying. There's definitely a lot of scope for improvement. When Amna ma'am said, her role is an extension of Hala, I could feel it. She can show the same emotion in a different way as this is a new character. But, it feels the same. As Hala her emoting was good, her anger, her silly talks, some of her crying.
In Mujay Payar hua tha, in my opinion, the writer is giving this absurd message to the husband that if your wife had an affair before marriage and if she wants to continue with this affair post marriage then he should support her 🤦♀️
I think they’re trying to show a “hum dil de chuke sanam” type of scenario. The message is probably “if you love someone, let them go and if they return, they are yours. If not, they never were”. But it is so poorly written because of Maheer. If not for Wahaj’s portrayal of Saad and Kaifi’s song, no one would be watching this drama.

It's not rocket science that we won't get but she visiting her ex while her husband is in jail is nothing but a stamp of breach of character on her part. I think the ending of mpht will be maheer discovering the diary of Saad.....and then miraculously she will fall in love with him realising that oh!ye tha mera saccha pyaar. I don't get why there is so much comparison of Maheer and Meerab. Firstly, they should be on the same league to be compared. And, I love a lot of things about Meerab . Despite her problems, she's always ready to help nayla,maryam and even haya. She's gone thru so much like her own parents disowned her and didn't open the gate for her just because she said no to marriage? She never liked the haveli or murtasim, and if murtasim flips in 2 days and starts falling for her why would we expect a practical girl like Meerab to do the same. I'll always be mad at the writer for not showing Meerabs pov. The only problem in Meerab is even after so many days of marriage she is shown a nashukri for the love given to her by murtasim. But I think here murtasim is also at fault for not treating her equally and not trusting her. Both meerab and murtasim have shade of Grey and we should understand that nobody is perfect :)
100% agreed. Noorah just failed to show us Meerab's perspective the way we see with Murtasim and even Haya. Hence, the burden is entirely left on Yumna to communicate Meerab's thoughts & emotions thru her eyes.
Meerub’s adoptive parents didn’t allow her in not because she refused to marry Murtasim, but because they had to relinquish taking care of her and uniting her with her biological father and his family! Don’t you recall the hurried phone call Anwar made to Waqas about Murtasim bringing Meerub to their house and to not let her in?

There is no need for MPHT to take the police route. It doesn’t make you sympathize with Saad. It makes you feel terrible for all the characters. Maheer is finally and offically destroyed by the writer. I was 100% with her and with the writer so far but they just messed up her character for no reason this ep and made her the villain. Saad is literally being mentally tortured right now.
I agree with Aamna and was waiting for SH to comment on this too, but Hania's performance is lacking here compared to Sang e Mah and Ishqiya. She's particularly terrible at the whining and crying scenes, I'm not criticizing the crying itself because most of our characters are this way. But a good crying performance is like Mahira Khan in HKKST when she has the mental breakdown, your heart broke for her. The performance wasn't annoying, but Hania's Maheer's crying is screechy and flat which makes it difficult to sympathize when you're annoyed with the character and the performance. Edit: I knew I wouldn't like this drama just because the author is woman-hating. Watched clips of her interview with Fuschia and was unimpressed to find out she's also the author of Jalan.

I liked the episode of MBJ, where the story has taken a good sensible , inspirational turn. Azmiya finally found a motive in life. With designing clothes she would not only improve the financial status of the family, but gain confidence and become an independent entrepreneur. Also with education and probably job, there would be a progression in the personality of Zakki. Both would become compatible for romance.

In my opinion Fairy tale is the most adorable show right now. It has this Kdramas and Turkish dizis vibe. Most importantly, neither it has over the top comedy AKA juggats, nor on your face messaging, And lastly no dancingggggg (thankfully). Umeed and Farjaad look great together, and no scene in the whole series is boring at all. Another relief is having no hero heroine continuous bickering and loud punjabi aunty....

I don't understand the hate against Saad especially from the latest episode. I too wish his responses to Maheer weren't as kind in certain previous episodes when she was just being awful to him but whatever happened in the last episode had nothing to do with Saad. He didn't ask to be arrested. When Areeb was shot its only natural for him to take him to the hospital and let Maheer stay there for however long because he knows how much she loves Areeb. To hear that Saad deserves it or is asking for it doesn't make any sense?? Also, he has told Maheer she can leave the marriage if she wants to so it's HER that needs to grow a spine and take this step, why is the onus placed on Saad?? He loves Maheer and is married to her so it wouldn't make sense if he just divorces her without her asking. -- Having said all that, I wonder why we're even bothering to discuss this show when Maheer, who is an eye witness to the shooting, tells her cousin, 'Saad aisa kuch nai kar sakta'.. Like bro?? YOU WERE THERE!!!

Loved the way they revived Mujhe paye hua tha. 56:00 min the way Amina portrayed characters from the drama, was outstanding. Couldn’t stop laughing 😂 l. Hasan and Amina rock.
I think Mala is definitely in her early 20s because her family has been looking for a groom for her for quite some time. The drama does have some continuity and logical errors like Hashir and Roomi were shown to be 19 but suddenly now their age has been raised to 21.
It's also the way an actor is styled, Mala doesn't look her age due the colours she wears or the conversations she has with her family members. Her character needed to have a more mature approach to the idea of marriage and her career as a professional basketball player.
Saad didn't ask to be arrested wrongfully and be ignored by Maheer as if he never existed.. She didn't care about him not only as a husband but even as a best friend or 1st cousin and that's on her selfishness not on him
I agree about Yunhi. It should've been shown to be from an older era, from the 80s or 90s perhaps. The strict family rules, those old fashioned burqas and the whole cinematography would have looked more appropriate. Overall, I think our writers are just poor at writing female leads' characters. The actions of Meerab, Maheer and Kim don't make any sense at all.
Your review on MPH was hillarious 😂. But I disagree on one thing hassan. Mahira is very much aware of what's happening, what she's doing, what's right or wrong. She knows what she should tell her mother and what not, like she shares everything with her mother but didn't told her that areeb's mother came to insult her only, why? Cuz she knew then her mother would think ring about abhir and his family. She's clear cut selfish, opportunist, very well aware that saad would do anything and everything for her so she uses him. It's sad to see a character like Maheer in these times. Such a weak/irritating fm character.

I agree with Khaqan,to an extent, no! one person can not be considered a representation of entire desi's born or raised in USA, but i would like to say something from my personal experience. My son was 2 years old when we moved to Canada, 5 years later i still talk with the same accent i did back in india, but my son talks in a perfect canadian accent, he rolls his r's and the way he says 'thanks' i can not say it that way even if i try, i am not trying to boast or anything(i dont believe english fluency has anything to do with the persons intelligence), what i am trying to tell here is, when a child is born or raised in any country which has a certain accent, the child picks it up. PERIOD. PERIODDDD The way Kim pronounced 'Lavish' in the previous episode, i bet no child born or raised in the west would pronounce it that way. When a drama has faults or a character has flaws i think the most responsible thing any actor can do is accept that it was a flaw instead of defending it. PERIOD

I started watching it because of the comments here and because Aamna started watching it :D But for the last 6 episodes Hamza is stuck at "complaining to Pasha Sahib", Seher is stuck at "chaaye ka dhaba and fighting with hamza on making complaints", Haya and Sameer stuck at nowhere and AK too is not adding anything to the story. There's so much repetition in the scenarios. Now I just watch promos instead of whole episode.

What I observe and feel nowadays that in our dramas, they're trying to establish k doesn't matter if your love is married, you keep trying to get your love back. Shadi k ho jana koi baat hi nahi. Aap shadi k rishtey ko aik mamoli baat bana k present kia ja raha hai. In terey bin, Haya is continuously trying, Rohail kept saying k tum peecha churao, and same in Mujhey piyar hua tha. Shohar ya bv ki value nahi, shadi ki value nahi. Aap extra marital affair chalo aur dankey ki chot pe chalao.

Mere Ban jao is suffering from what I like to call the samira fazl curse. She has great ability to write dramas that are different and have potential to be really good but she lacks in actually continuing the story after the initial concept. Long story short, both dramas are "still" getting millions of views and popularity just because of Wahaj Ali. People aren't getting bored of watching him because his acting, style, personality- everything is different in both dramas. We can see the versatility. Otherwise, there's nothing logical in these dramas. MPHT is totally senseless and boring, and Tere Bin is also senseless but entertaining with some cute moments that's why people are enjoying.

He got paralyzed because of this connection of hers with areeb, she has no guilt about it, doesn't care to help her father get better, doesn't mention him at all, paralysis is not huge for her but areebs gun shot on arm is huge...

In the interview Hasan had with both Wahaj and Yumna, they touched on chemistry, between Meerub and Murtasim, and between Maheer and Saad, and Wahaj said the chemistry presently is between Areeb and Maheer, and it will come later for Saad! I just don’t see when this will happen!

Maheer and Meerub. Two badly written female leads, written by women who seem to hate other women. However, Yumnas exceptional acting has somewhat saved Meerub and even managed to make a chunk of the audience sympathize with her. Hania, unfortunately hasn't been able to save Maheer, and everyone unequivocally dislikes her.

Agree with Aamna, Hania’s acting is same as Hala’s constantly whining, whereas Wahaj has given some nuances to Saad, if you see any picture of Wahaj, you can identify whether its Saad or not,slightly droopy shoulders melancholic look on the face. Thats what missing in Hania’s

Even his ad films and simple poses for Insta posts have so much energy and spark. May be Saad has to be a certain way, hence the acting is accordingly, but, unfortunately is not appealing.

Comparatively, Yumna as Meerab is also very poorly written. But Yumna is saving Meerab with her acting. You feel and sympathize with Meerab despite all her absurdities. But u feel nothing for Maheer.

It should have been obvious to Maheer , that Areeb’s mom, would be behind Saad’s arrest after seeing them at the hospital. Instead of going to the Police Station to testify, Maheer chooses to go to see Areeb, earlier didn’t move from the hospital at night. She could have helped Saad, but her concern, restlessness for Areeb showed that she has not gotten over him and is still in love. She preferred Areeb over Saad, her husband , cousin, best friend, although Areeb was just shot in the arm. Neelo is right, time for Maheer to leave Saad on her own if she has a little bit of self respect. Both their moms so deserve each other.
BTW, doesn’t the police wait for the gunshot victim, to regain consciousness and make arrest on his report? Not expecting Maheer to tell the truth.

Maheer is subliminally a by product of her mothers wishes, she is fickle, self absorbed, and selfish, she has ‘puppy love’ and cannot display real compassion for anyone as she is internally a callous, and cold person! She doesn’t even have an ounce of loyalty nor compassion to a childhood friend like Saad, and, if you recall in the very early episodes when she was demanding him to stay around her friends house( at the time of her friends wedding b4 she met Areeb); to help, and even Saad told her that ‘sometimes I wish you want me to remain for myself, and not just to help you ‘ ! I think he knows her character but is so invested in her emotionally to let it stop him from standing up for her, and now going into prison! I really cannot sympathise with her character! I’ve seen Hania’s performance in other dramas and in MPHT even she cannot save a poorly written character! She is monotonous and expressionless most of the time! I’m not sure she has any redeeming qualities or strength of character which makes these two men love her!

I think people who understand meerab and tere bin are mostly Indian including me 😅 bcoz I have seen indian shows & i have seen Korean dramas more than Indian dramas. And the world knows how Korean dramas r very well executed and class apart. Some Indian dramas r good but most of them are more illlogical and meaningless than tere bin. So we know where tere bin is lacking and what it's worth is. It is definitely worth watching.

Sorry, but there was never a chemistry between the characters of MPHT. Areeb and Maheer's love at first sight was never convincing. And Saad and Maheer look more like siblings. Maheer has never ever looked Saad lovingly or doesn't even what colors her so called best friend likes to wear. I was surprised when you guys were discussing main lead's chemistry in the last episode and mentioned Wahaj and Hania.
And we don't blame Maheer's character for this. Saad with his doormat attitude ends up looking like a looser. He just doesn't have any say in anything. Love is not everything. He needs to have some backbone too.
This is the first time Wahaj was unable to create a chemistry with her female lead. Feel quite bad for him.
I just hope Maheer ends up with Areeb. Saad doesn't deserve this selfish girl.
Agreed with the first part of your comment. Never saw a spark or any hint of chemistry nor character development between Areeb and maheer - which is why I thought maybe they intended it to be this way so that when Areeb’s chapter closes maheer will understand the difference between a meaningful love that develops after shadi vs an infatuation. (Esp because she even says I don’t know if I love him but I don’t want him to be out of my life so fast- she’s still figuring out what this new found attention means to her)
But they’ve thrown the script to the dogs now and I think maheer shouldn’t end up with either guy. Saad should find someone worthy of his attention, that’s as far as a happy ending I can accept. The script is beyond redemption now.
The story line of unrequited love ( in silence);lends to no chemistry, but then again Areeb has no chemistry with Maheer either, it’s all so wooden to be honest! Whereas Murtasim is fiery in his declaration of his love for Meerub, and at times we see her go weak at the knees, but in Meerub’s case she is also resolute / stubborn, not to let his love cloud her quest to make them all cry for what they did to her!
I have never seen the worst character like Mahir till date. The charm of the drama is lost due to Mahir's absurd character. Stop watching this drama because it's just a waste of time and nothing else! 👎

A couple of days ago I saw an interview of Saima Akram Chaudhry, on another channel, where she revealed that she will not be writing Ramadan dramas for few years, as she is really disappointed with the channels, squeezing the life out of this idea. I think this genre( Ramadan dramas) has passed its “sell by” date and all the channels should get out of this game for good. Let’s see what happens when GREEN gets operational and changes the whole mindset of producers and audiences.

Saad should gladly move on from Maheer and let her go to hell with Areeb. Saad should get married to someone else thousand times better just like him, or just stay single if it suits him. But Maheer should be shown suffering at the hands of Areeb's mother and that other two ugly women at his house.
Extra care should be taken of Maheer's mother going through an infinite loop of her beti ki life barbad ho gyi with the faisla she took for her in the shape of Areeb and his crazy mother.
The final scene being Maheer finding out that Saad loved her more than Areeb and has always been doing it. She wouldn't give a damn but anyway.

Fairy Tale has so many good points to it, Umeed and Farjad are solid characters so enjoyable to watch, but it does fall down on the points you've said. Also, I have a problem with Umeed's Dad, he's so overbearing. A shame it's not highlighted in drama.
Honestly, unpopular opinion, but even Wahaj's acting in MPHT is 😒 I haven't seen any episode, but, some clips on Instagram. Especially, the recent one wherein he was arrested. The acting looks forced. His character should have been named Sad and not Saad. Sorry, Wahaj I love you, have loved you as Jimmy and now Murtasim , and even your upcoming projects

After watching MPHT clips, I don't have the guts to watch an entire episode. My judgement may be wrong basis a few clips here and there, but, I got no motivation to watch it. It looks like a very lethargic drama. I was impressed with the OST though.

From the beginning till now everyone is saying "saad ka pyar" "saad ka pyar" but I want to know how saad fell for maheer at first place aisi kya achayi dekh li saad ne jo hum nahi dekh paa rahe... she has always been a selfish girl and still going strong with her selfishness.
First, she made saad bad in everyone's eyes by telling him to reject their rishta as she loved someone else...fair enough. Then, at the wedding when she was asked ki usay qubool hai ya nahi...obviously she said "qubool hai" not because she was worried about her father or her family's respect but because she couldn't take the onus on herself and this time too she expected saad to say no so that her image remains clean...she even said it later "main na nahi kar sakti thi tum toh kar sakte thay na" wow maheer. And finally now she basically wants to be with areeb but that's not possible without Divorce so even after saad has said this many a times "ki jab kahogi chhod dunga" she stills wants ki uss par koi dagh na aaye and that saad divorces him and takes the a blame again and eventually she would then marry areeb the love of her life. Bas bechari keh nahi paa rhi and that too because she wants to project herself as a sacrificial goat.
And special mention to her mother...maheer ka qasoor nahi woh puri apni ammi ki copy hai🙄
And yes I'm not going to say "I feel bad for saad"😑 hassan cannot justify everything by saying woh pyar karta hai maheer se...sorry, had this been a female character and if she would be suffering all this for her husband even after knowing that her husband don't give a damn about her and love someone else...would your reaction be the same. In this scenario People would have started calling out the drama and would have termed it as "regressive" and would want the female lead to leave her husband and be independent in the end, that would have been the ideal ending for the drama but here in MPHT's case People still want saad and maheer together in the end. I have no problem with happy ending but maheer is not a character that you want happiness for.
Thank god TB is running simultaneously with MPHT otherwise where would us the wahaj ali fans go. I would anytime watch a TB and get entertained than watch a MPHT and get furious.
As much as I don’t understand it, love does not look for anything, it just happens. You can fall in love in an instant or after multiple things that build up. With Saad, it makes complete sense because they grew up together as friends; it’s super common for friends to fall in love because of the time they spend together. I completely agree that Maheer is very selfish and wants Saad to take the blame for everything. If I were a man, I would probably not fall in love with someone like that…but I am not Saad who spent my whole life with her.
I think it could be that he has projected this "love of his life" persona in Maheer since childhood. It is normal when you're young to fall in love with people without realizing that they're not the best for you. As you get older, you realize how important respect is in a relationship. I don't think Saad has realized this yet.
Hassan sir, how much do u defend Hania as Maheer, it's too obvious, that her acting is not good, especially when it comes to crying. There's definitely a lot of scope for improvement. When Amna ma'am said, her role is an extension of Hala, I could feel it. She can show the same emotion in a different way as this is a new character. But, it feels the same. As Hala her emoting was good, her anger, her silly talks, some of her crying.
In Mujay Payar hua tha, in my opinion, the writer is giving this absurd message to the husband that if your wife had an affair before marriage and if she wants to continue with this affair post marriage then he should support her 🤦♀️

I think they’re trying to show a “hum dil de chuke sanam” type of scenario. The message is probably “if you love someone, let them go and if they return, they are yours. If not, they never were”. But it is so poorly written because of Maheer. If not for Wahaj’s portrayal of Saad and Kaifi’s song, no one would be watching this drama.

It's not rocket science that we won't get but she visiting her ex while her husband is in jail is nothing but a stamp of breach of character on her part. I don't get why there is so much comparison of Maheer and Meerab. Firstly, they should be on the same league to be compared.
And, I love a lot of things about Meerab . Despite her problems, she's always ready to help nayla,maryam and even haya. She's gone thru so much like her own parents disowned her and didn't open the gate for her just because she said no to marriage? She never liked the haveli or murtasim, and if murtasim flips in 2 days and starts falling for her why would we expect a practical girl like Meerab to do the same. I'll always be mad at the writer for not showing Meerabs pov.
The only problem in Meerab is even after so many days of marriage she is shown a nashukri for the love given to her by murtasim. But I think here murtasim is also at fault for not treating her equally and not trusting her. Both meerab and murtasim have shade of Grey and we should understand that nobody is perfect :)

There is no need for MPHT to take the police route. It doesn’t make you sympathize with Saad. It makes you feel terrible for all the characters. Maheer is finally and offically destroyed by the writer. I was 100% with her and with the writer so far but they just messed up her character for no reason this ep and made her the villain. Saad is literally being mentally tortured right now.
I agree with Aamna and was waiting for SH to comment on this too, but Hania's performance is lacking here compared to Sang e Mah and Ishqiya. She's particularly terrible at the whining and crying scenes, I'm not criticizing the crying itself because most of our characters are this way. But a good crying performance is like Mahira Khan in HKKST when she has the mental breakdown, your heart broke for her. The performance wasn't annoying, but Hania's Maheer's crying is screechy and flat which makes it difficult to sympathize when you're annoyed with the character and the performance.
Edit: I knew I wouldn't like this drama just because the author is woman-hating. Watched clips of her interview with Fuschia and was unimpressed to find out she's also the author of Jalan.

I liked the episode of MBJ, where the story has taken a good sensible , inspirational turn. Azmiya finally found a motive in life. With designing clothes she would not only improve the financial status of the family, but gain confidence and become an independent entrepreneur. Also with education and probably job, there would be a progression in the personality of Zakki. Both would become compatible for romance.

I don't understand the hate against Saad especially from the latest episode. I too wish his responses to Maheer weren't as kind in certain previous episodes when she was just being awful to him but whatever happened in the last episode had nothing to do with Saad. He didn't ask to be arrested. When Areeb was shot its only natural for him to take him to the hospital and let Maheer stay there for however long because he knows how much she loves Areeb. To hear that Saad deserves it or is asking for it doesn't make any sense??
Also, he has told Maheer she can leave the marriage if she wants to so it's HER that needs to grow a spine and take this step, why is the onus placed on Saad?? He loves Maheer and is married to her so it wouldn't make sense if he just divorces her without her asking.

I think Mala is definitely in her early 20s because her family has been looking for a groom for her for quite some time. The drama does have some continuity and logical errors like Hashir and Roomi were shown to be 19 but suddenly now their age has been raised to 21.
yes. she is definitely older than hashir who is shown to be a 21 yr old.
It's also the way an actor is styled, Mala doesn't look her age due the colours she wears or the conversations she has with her family members. Her character needed to have a more mature approach to the idea of marriage and her career as a professional basketball player.

I agree about Yunhi. It should've been shown to be from an older era, from the 80s or 90s perhaps. The strict family rules, those old fashioned burqas and the whole cinematography would have looked more appropriate.
Overall, I think our writers are just poor at writing female leads' characters. The actions of Meerab, Maheer and Kim don't make any sense at all.
Your review on MPH was hillarious 😂. But I disagree on one thing hassan. Mahira is very much aware of what's happening, what she's doing, what's right or wrong. She knows what she should tell her mother and what not, like she shares everything with her mother but didn't told her that areeb's mother came to insult her only, why? Cuz she knew then her mother would think ring about abhir and his family. She's clear cut selfish, opportunist, very well aware that saad would do anything and everything for her so she uses him. It's sad to see a character like Maheer in these times. Such a weak/irritating fm character.

I agree with Khaqan,to an extent, no! one person can not be considered a representation of entire desi's born or raised in USA, but i would like to say something from my personal experience.
My son was 2 years old when we moved to Canada, 5 years later i still talk with the same accent i did back in india, but my son talks in a perfect canadian accent, he rolls his r's and the way he says 'thanks' i can not say it that way even if i try, i am not trying to boast or anything(i dont believe english fluency has anything to do with the persons intelligence), what i am trying to tell here is, when a child is born or raised in any country which has a certain accent, the child picks it up. PERIOD.

I started watching it because of the comments here and because Aamna started watching it :D But for the last 6 episodes Hamza is stuck at "complaining to Pasha Sahib", Seher is stuck at "chaaye ka dhaba and fighting with hamza on making complaints", Haya and Sameer stuck at nowhere and AK too is not adding anything to the story. There's so much repetition in the scenarios. Now I just watch promos instead of whole episode.

What I observe and feel nowadays that in our dramas, they're trying to establish k doesn't matter if your love is married, you keep trying to get your love back. Shadi k ho jana koi baat hi nahi. Aap shadi k rishtey ko aik mamoli baat bana k present kia ja raha hai. In terey bin, Haya is continuously trying, Rohail kept saying k tum peecha churao, and same in Mujhey piyar hua tha. Shohar ya bv ki value nahi, shadi ki value nahi. Aap extra marital affair chalo aur dankey ki chot pe chalao.

Mere Ban jao is suffering from what I like to call the samira fazl curse. She has great ability to write dramas that are different and have potential to be really good but she lacks in actually continuing the story after the initial concept. I can normally tell if she wrote a drama based on how interesting/bizarre a concept is

Long story short, both dramas are "still" getting millions of views and popularity just because of Wahaj Ali. People aren't getting bored of watching him because his acting, style, personality- everything is different in both dramas. We can see the versatility. Otherwise, there's nothing logical in these dramas. MPHT is totally senseless and boring, and Tere Bin is also senseless but entertaining with some cute moments that's why people are enjoying.
