I do my own laundry soap for more then 3 years now.
Last batch I did in November 2018 and I just finished it beginning of 2021.
I grate my soap while watching TV in the evening.
My new batch I did last week.
For drying I use 100% wool dryer balls. Clothes come out nice and soft so I also safe money on fabric softener and dryer sheets

It's Zoté. It's very popular in Mexican households.... It's a Mexican company. You can also use it to wash makeup brushes, it's amazing 💖💖💖🇲🇽.

You can actually skip the bar soap because bar soap needs friction that’s why it’s a stain remover. Many have ditched the bar soap because it’s really not meant to wash your clothing in it more of stain remover bar soap causes soap scum and unlike you using gain lots only do the soap with out gain and that’s why lots complain clothing gets dingy and grayish. I 100% agree an the gain. Try ditching the bars of soap and here is the recipe
      1 box gain
      1 box super washing soda
      1 box Borax
      1 box baking soda
      1 box oxi clean
      Purex scented beads
Mix well and store in container you can double this so you won’t have to keep making. Last a really long time. And your not dealing with bar soap cutting and so on. I have had all my friends do this and they love it.

Yass girl best diy laundry detergent yet thats how I make mine to but I use oxi clean and instead of gain i use arm and hammer odor blaster washing powders i also add baking soda the big box and Ariel its a Mexican washing powder like the zote and it smells amazing i also add foca washing powder its also a Mexican made detergent and the odor blasters crystals and Epson salt in lavender and the unstoppables in fresh i believe its the blue bottle but I use 3 boxes of borax 3 boxes of super washing soda 3 boxes of baking soda and the huge box of oxi clean that also has the purple odor blasters in it for the amazing smell and 5 bars of zote 5 bars of fels naphtha and 2 boxes of purex 2 color safe bleach and my clothes smell freaking amazing while drying the whole house smells amazing next time you make it try my recipe 😀 and it makes enough to fill an entire large tote!! We have a family of 5 and it last a year and im heavy handed also i put atleast 2 full scoops in a large load and 1 full big scoop for and medium or small load I just use the big oxi clean scoop not the small one!! Im like you I can't allow myself to add a sprinkle of it lmao 🤣

I have heard many people saying the Zote soap leaves a film on your clothes. I noticed it myself, now I make it similar to this but I don't use the Zote. There are so many variations! I cannot understand why those scent booster beads are so expensive. I just throw in a bottle I get at the dollar store for $1

The bar soap would just clog up my cheese grater so l found a blender at my local Goodwill works great. There is a trick with the blender, and a little of the powder products to as you blend it.

You need detergent in a machine! Soap 🧼 is made from fat and oil - your whites are going to get dingy , your towels won't absorb water anymore. You're basically clogging your clothes with fat! Unless you're hand washing in the tub , in the machine you need detergent, add dish soap! You can void the warranty on your washer too, it'll clog. This worked years ago because people HAND WASHED ✋️, detergent in the machine, soap 🧼 for hand washing clothes! (*Also, put that in a blender to mix it up) you're not "really" getting frugal when you're adding all the scents, etc. We use these words interchangeably but you need to know the difference between soap and detergent, don't put that in a machine

Good question! I notice a lot of others use it in their recipes as well. Might throw it in next time and see what I think. Thanks for watching!

It is a lot of scents for sure! I've found the scent decreases over time so it's not too overpowering once you start using it. Thanks for watching! :)
