I'm so glad you posted this version for making laundry detergent. I'm especially pleased that you showed the consistency of the finished product after it has set for a few days. I've made a similar recipe that was very grainy. I'm going to try your way today.
I use to make this version and enjoyed it, however when I learned that both Borax and Washing Soda, both just water softeners, I took away the Borax simply because it doesn’t raise the pH level like the more modern Washing Soda. Borax has its place around the house, but it’s like a 300 year old when women beat their clothes on rocks, it’s kind of a waste when you could just use WS, and if you didn’t have it, like I’ve done many times, simply put 2-4 cups of baking soda, shake it around so it’s a thin layer, bake on 400 for 45 min to one hour, you can’t overbake it, but as soon as you put a metal eating spoon in to test twirling in the mixture if it stops sticking to the spoon, bingo coarse washing soda!!

About how much water do you add to the pot? And for the mixture
I like that you have been using this for years! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for the kind words!
Absolutely enjoyed the background music.
I made it and it works well. But it tends to “gel”. Definitely needs to go in the machine first and melt.
The recipe says 1 C baking soda but your video showed 1/2 Cup. Is it 1/2C? Thank you!
Do you also make the dry mix?
Everyone posts these videos but no one says how much to add per load? So how much do you use for large load? Medium loads? And small loads?
Thk u! 😊
Oh absolutely love this! I'm definitely gonna try this, Thanks
Hope you enjoy it!
Great recipe and easy to follow. Where did you get the mittens?
I have à reactitory air way disease and cant stand strong fragrances.
Thank you for sharing this video. We appreciate you and your mom. Can we use it to any kind of clothing? Thank you in advance for your reply.❤
Don’t fade out clothes colour in this recipe ??and it’s better for the baby clothes ?
The Washing Baking
Soda will become as hard as a rock.. this will be collected in your septic tank and drains. It is extremely costly to repair.
Description calls for one FN bar. Video says two.
