This is a Suicide Squad I would watch. But Deadshot and Boomerang should go in the Tunnel of Love cause it'd be ironically funny as they were despising one another the entire movie, and Harley should've went in the funhouse, well, cause Harley lol

Like I said, "Finished movie". Once the movie is all filmed, edited and ready for release and someone watches it and says "This film is shit", what can they really do? The film has already been made, millions of dollars have been sunk into it, lots of people worked on it, the investors and the studio execs are demanding that it be released to make money for the company. Are they really going to spend millions more to fix the film, or even re-shoot it entirely when there's (technically speaking) nothing wrong with it?
All art is subjective, which is why I said 'technically speaking' nothing is wrong with the films that are released. Everyone has a vision in their mind for a perfect film, or a way for a film to be better, but not many people have the time, money, or resources to make their dream film a reality. The directors who might have had an idea for a film so funny it would make 100% of all living people laugh has to deal with the issues I brought up, and with these issues the idea he initially had will likely come across as a failure in the eyes of the general public, which is more the point I was getting at. The point is less that everyone has an idea on how a film could be improved, and everybody can critique a film, and moreso that although everyone can say what is good and what is bad, not everyone (including the most talented and visionary directors) can create something that most people would subjectively consider to be good.

I really is sad when someone pitches a far better story idea in less than 20 minutes, than entire filmmaking team (who are being paid) can conjure up with substantially more time. Now I don't necessarily blame David Ayer on all of Suicide Squads shortcomings, as it was clearly altered (by the studio) to be something different than originally intended, and the fact that Ayer only had six weeks to write a script, featuring multiple characters, but the end result is just a joke, and not a funny one. Just another complete waste of talent and time, something that's starting to become all too familiar with DCU films sadly.
dc gave him 6 weeks to write a script and 14 months to film a movie nobody was trying to make a bad movie with more time and creative freedom the movie could have been the next guardians of the galaxy.

The sad thing is that this version makes so much more sense. A key feature of the Suicide Squad is that they complete missions doing the things that the "good guys' can't or won't do, such as killing, maiming, (psychological) torture, etc. The movie we got felt like the team could have been replaced with any number of generic superhero's and nothing would change.
Just watch the DC animated films Batman Assault on Arkham and Suicide Squad Hell to pay. Both are Suicide Squad films that are much better than the live action garbage movie
The only thing I didn't like about this guy's rewrite was taking away the bombs in the squad members' necks. That makes the threat of not doing their job correctly a lot more intimidating. I mean, you CAN escape from people who will hunt you down with guns; You CAN'T run away from an explosive in your body, y'know?
Agreed, dedicating so much force just to surround park and keep an eye on SS is a waste since you can just go ahead and overwhelm joker, ofc I understand the point that they will not only look for SS but also goons so they are contained, and people don't want to loose anyone, but still bomb is much more reliable

I think Nolan would have made it too dark and serious. This film has to be dark in the story, yet funny, crazy and colorful in the feel. Somewhere between Burton's insane visuals, Matthew Vaughn's fast-paced storytelling and Nolan's intensity. My director of choice would be Jeremy Saulnier (Murder Party, Blue Rain, Green Room)
They made Harley look like a dumbass. She's somwhat intelligent and uses manipulation (and sex appeal) as her main tools. She's not stupid, she's just batshit crazy. The fact that Joker fucked her up so badly is a testament to him being the ultimate 'master of minds.' Show me the process of how an Arkham psychiatrist was brought under the complete control of the most notorious villain in the DCU (with his hands literally tied behind his back!) Now I'd pay to see that.
Margot Robbie did great with what she was given, but they made her seem like a dumb blonde when she was still Dr Quinzel. Would have been cool if we saw Harley before the Joker, to show just how much damage he did. Then let her work her mind magic on others in the movie, to show there's a brain behind the bod. Would have made for great plot points, twists, compelling themes about love and manipulation, and deeper character development.
I disagree entirely. I thought Robbie's acting felt forced and awkward in all but a couple scenes, and the script only made the problem WORSE. Instead of making me feel like she was Harley, she made me feel like she was doing a bad impression of Harley.
But without them, why would they stay with the "good guys"? Joker "has" a chemical bomb, an army of goons, he's a better mastermind (according to this version) and they can easily team up against the police, army or whatever they have. Making it easier for everyone to escape.

Keep in mind, Harley Quinn used to be the Joker's psychiatrist, so having her part of the team is quite crucial because besides Batman, she's the only person in the world who knows what the Joker is really like, his motives, his thought process, etc. This could also give us some better smooth transitions of Harley's flashbacks of the Joker. But they are not always true. As Harley is practically insane for him, she takes a note from 'The Killing Joke' and makes her memories with Mr J "multiple choice". This only makes the Joker more of an enigma for the Squad and the audience because we have no idea if Harley is telling the truth most of the time until the climax.
No, nobody knows what the Joker is really like; and her attempt to figure it out allowed him to manipulate her and drove her almost as insane as the Joker.
Ok but that doesn't explain why she should be on the team in the context of the movie at all. If they put her on the team, Joker will come after her, but she needs to be on the team because she understand's Joker? Remove her from the team and Joker is no longer a problem to the team..........there you go. She brings no benefit to the team, in fact causing more harm than good with Joker chasing them. Suicide Squad was created to combat SUPERPOWERED BEINGS as stated by the leader. Then why do we have humans who can shoot, throw boomerangs, use a sword, etc. That is not a team built for that. This is a team built for low level mercenary missions. Had they made a movie about that, it would've made sense.
I agree, magic is the worst in superhero genre, on par with time travel. Those should never be used. This is pretty good, I buy this version. And yes, the Joker alone should have been the main antagonist.

I would normally agree but dr. strange is a relatable character bc we all know someone who has had their life derailed. plus it's more about the characters. Also the limits of magic I think they will be established. Dr. Strange is a bit different. What sucks about how the fucked up enchantress is how it ruins justice League dark. apparently they are making that but they already used her as a main villain!
Dr. Strange is limited because he wants to use his powers for good, which requires restraint, discipline and constant reflection. He can't just "change reality" because that's actually wrong.

Exactly. Magic is too big a difference in power. If everyone has Magic, its not as bad ( but still hard to balance). Dr. Strange worked because they spent a good deal of time explaining the magic.
SS was doomed from the start. They were gonna introduce magic for the first time in a DC movie but instead they focused on making a Guardians of the Galaxy copy.

I REALLY wish this was how the real movie panned out. Why do so many big budget movies hire shit writers? If screenwriters would just take the time to sit down and THINK for once, we wouldn't be getting messes like Fantastic 4, Suicide Squad, BvS, etc.
From what i understand, half of the original scripts get changed by what the directors want to do or sometimes there are multiple people writing the script which kills any kind of vision... and yeah... I think one of the reasons hollywood is shit is they don't respect the screen play and the writers vision.

How about instead of finding a Bottle of Whiskey, is Boomerang that has a bottle of some Australian alcohol and he decides to share with them, cause when he is working he likes to drown his worries on Alcohol. And they just grab some cups from the restaurant and start drinking, but Deadshot jokes that it taste like shit. Also when it comes to the trap door, how about the Amuzement park is in a dick and they trap door is simply a lower deck which they park staff use to get in a boat and bring supplies to the stand, and in the lower part there is a boat they could use to escape but they don't. Also have it be that the government can not enter the park because not only are Joker's goons all around, but is revealed that Joker kidnapped the staff and tourist that were in the park, and he actually the Bombs are just Joker Gas dispensers that when activated release a Joker Toxic like the one we see in the comics were Joker is apparently immortal and which ends with him and batman buried in a cave (you know the comic I mean). And so this first group of people kidnapped get insane and are the ones now causing chaos all round. I think that solves the problem. But I also believe that they lost the opportunity to show more of Croc and Kitana since both of them have sad past, as Croc was born with this defects and he had no other path but a path of crime, while Kitana is just an agent of vengeance because of she is that her husband is dead and she promised him that she will rid this world of criminal scum bag.
I didn't like the fact that el diablo just doesn't go down without a fight I would of given him a 5 minute scene of him just going nuts on the goons and nearly defeating the joker but the goons just pile on top of him and then the joker walks over while the other members are being restrained And are forced to watch him pull out a gun and shoot el diablo Anyone agree
Yea, I kinda agree. I think it could work either way. Although, doing it your way would be the expected thing. Not giving El Diablo a chance would have more of an emotional impact and be more Joker like.
Isaac Woodward plus I loved the moment when Wil Smith's Deadshot finally dot Diablo in the fight and after Diablo was done drying some baddies Deadshot is kinda "hey woe I was just trying to get you psyched up... we're good, right?" That was a real LOL moment for me
Joker was so over-hyped for this movie and he was a shitty side character, i agree that everyone didn't belong there. There's hardened soldiers and strong mutants and assassins and then there's captain boomerang who is a thief, Harley who uses a baseball bat. Enchantress shouldn't have been a villain as she was boring, generic and dull, i don't even remember her brother he was just some fire dude. This couldve been so good but it was lifeless, the plot was dull and exhausted.

After the reviews of Batman vs Superman said it was too dark, Suicide Squad was supposedly rewritten to make it more fun, like the clips shown in the trailers. The scene where El Diablo explains his backstory is one of the darkest scenes I've ever seen in any movie ever. Especially with Harley's response: "He KILLED them." In case you haven't seen the movie I won't spoil who he killed.

Jeremy Christian Well the DC films such as Suicide Squad, Man of Steel and Batman V Superman also features more messages than the Marvel movies, they're still gritty and more heavy hitting than the Marvel movies like Avengers and Captain American. Though the movies are almost equally as unrealistic, the DC movies still feature a more dark view on the world itself.
How? More like making it a stretch. I get a big theme from Man of Steel. I honestly think it was good. The conflict between Superman and Zod was incredible. As I could see how it was just two people really doing their best for their own beloved homelands. Now Batman v Superman, uhh. . Don't bother telling there's any message in this apart from the messy execution and just filling the movie with a bunch of God/Man allegories. That's cheap and easy. And the reason behind Batman and Superman's conflict is simply because they don't bother whatsapp each other first so not to be in a misunderstanding or some diabolical, but hardly genius, evil scheme. Goddammit, how is that even a movie. Ans Suicide Squad. Yup, black filters, weak character developments, and plot. . Plot . . Plot. . Uhh I can't even write anything to explain it. My brain refuses. I watched all three movies on their premiere in my city. I came as a big ball of hyped viewer. Man of Steel kept me hopeful, BvS sent me home worried, Suicide Squad almost sent me committing suicide.
When Katana and Croc are split up, you could just have them grunt at each other 7 of 8 times before a bunch of bad guys come and they effortlessly murder all of them and then they grunt at each other out of respect. 10/10 would watch again

The problem with your film is that joker is a Batman villian so inevitably, this story creates a question of why wasn't Batman the one trying to stop the Joker?
There could be a line explaining that! Captain Boomerang is like "Wait, isn't the Joker Batman's problem? Why are we getting sent it?" Some military guy responds with "He's...missing. No one knows where he is. We can't take the chance that he's going to show up and save the day."
This isn't how you would have made it. This is how you think you would have made it not taking into account that you wouldn't have these ideas without the existing movie
Your point is invalid however because there is already an animated feature called "Suicide Squad: Assualt on Arkham" and while not the same beat for beat, his vision is considerably close to that, and it wouldn't rely on the live action version being released, save for knowing the exact line up of characters.
This is 100% because I read the SS comics but some of this guys points are.. eh. If Harley was going to open up to anyone, it would be Deadshot since they work together well. Captain Boomerang would never get sappy with Deadshot, nor would he really care about his sad backstory. He's a dick. El Diablo WOULD be fighting(and being super preachy), but not killing. The Harley thing was very good UNTIL you said she would betray them. In the comics the Joker comes back for her(to use her) and she realizes he's not the same person she loved and how abusive he is. She can't/doesn't go back once she's acknowledged that. And if that did happen, Joker would need a reason to take back Harley before disposing of her on the ferris wheel. Also they should have bombs in their necks otherwise they'd escape ages ago and the bombs ensure that they do what they're told. I'm sure they could outsmart a swat team. In addition to that, Amanda Waller would be barking orders at them all the time, which would further cause conflict within the team until something happens that destroys their communications devices and they can finally think for themselves. As for the bar scene, the only way the squad(who don't have bombs in their necks, per the videos logic) would not take the chance to run was if their lives were also in danger. Either way, this video had really good ideas and would be much better than the movie. HOWEVER, I don't know why they would send the SS for Joker when, you'know, Batman exists. Never in the comics have the SS pursued Joker, nor would they have a reason to unless something happened to literally all the heroes in Gotham. (P.s for anyone who questions Harley's usefulness(or lack of) to the team, he greatest ability is her unpredictability. Also she's basically a genius)

You make some good points but, I think Harley betraying the team would work better cause that would show her character in the animated series and basically most comics in a nutshell. Yes, she did have a character change and leave the joker but that only happened after years of evolution and this is only the first movie with her in.
Batman could be M.I.A. either due to the death of Jason Todd weighing heavily on him, or in the case of Knightfall, where Bane broke his spine(in fact this is something i would like to see done right in a movie, they kind of did it in the 3rd batman film, but they changed way to many things to make it feel right.)

I really like your idea in principle. Joker is the obvious villain and it baffles me that Ayer hasn't done that. There is still something to be added: The actual feeling that these guys aren't good in any way shape or form and will do everything to find another way to escape this situation. I have something like this in mind for the moment they all wanted to leave in the tunnel. Boomerang: Oi guys, if we run away we will get shot. Deadshot: What are you crazy? Have you seen this guy? He's nuts and he's got a bomb! No way we're fast enough to disable him. We're not Batman. Boomerang: But these freakin' soldiers are just waiting for us to retreat and they'll shoot! Killer Croc: Grrr ... not good. Boomerang: Wait a minute ... I think I got something. Deadshot: Not again one of your stupid ideas! Boomerang: His goons are searching for us. They will come after us in the tunnel. If we play it smart, they will be right behind us before we face Wallers people. Deadshot: I like where this is going. You want them both to fight this out. Boomerang: Exactly! Why should we be the cannon fodder. These assholes will get the war they started. And we will use this opportunity to get the hell out of this mess. Katana: Retreat isn't in my code of honor. Deadshot: Oh, look whos talking English now. I knew you could talk our language. Katana: I will fight to the end. Killer Croc: Grrr, I thought you were mute. I liked you better that way. Deadshot: And you can make yourself useful. You will allure his henchmen to us so that they will follow us. So Katana alerts Jokers henchmen, they follow the squad through the tunnel, the Squad hides in a corner so that Jokers Henchmen dont see them, but they face off Wallers Soldiers. There will be a giant shootout and many people from both sides die. The Squad gets in on the action and they take out a lot of Jokers henchmen, but also a lot of governmental soldiers (Katana just took out the Henchmen, but gets shot on the shoulder and leg and can't follow Croc, Boomerang and Deadshot who are escaping this massacre). Rick flag comes to late and just finds a very injured Katana. Meanwhile Joker gets bored, takes Harley with him on a helicopter and blows up the whole theme park. Harley is amused, but Joker throughs her out the window while saying: "You know, my love, what I wished for my birthday? (Harley: What, Mr J.?) For Batman to be there on the place youre sitting! He laughs histerically while Harley drops in the water of the sea. She swims to the land and Croc finds her and fishes her out. The Squad is reunites and free. Everybody goes their way.

For his idea the bombs don't work because an important part is the moment they decide to escape. If they have bombs in their body there's no point in escaping, because they would blow up anyways. Without bombs they have an actual chance to get away unscathed and makes it more meaningful when they decide to stay and be heroes rather than be selfish.
Batman was the one who got the Suicide Squad together, he was also forming the Justice League... He might of hoped that the squad could kill the joker because he made his vou not to kill after his parents were gunned down.(insert my idea going off of what the video is suggesting) The joker creates a fun house while in hidding and people in the area go missing. He is creating a brain washed and chemically treated population to go out in clown outfits to steal, harrass and terrify everyone... Regular people cannot go near the fun house carnival because they might be turned so that is why the squad has to go.... fans can always think of good movie ideas... this is like they are already crazy where can it go wrong but it can... ultimately the bad guys make joker believe they can be the best bad team together which is what he wated but the stabb him in the back figuratively or maybe literally and they get a happy ending.
This is soooo wrong, Katana is a hero not a villain. She chooses to join the suicide squad in the movie, she isn't forced. Also bombs should be kept in the head, more true to the comics. And where did rick flag go in this version? He doesn't do anything. and why is el diablo just killed off? He is one of the cool characters and he doesn't even get to use his powers. Also why doesn't batman stop the joker instead of the suicide squad? Thats his job right to keep gotham safe. I do agree with the f magic part though I like that. Overall this version isn't all that great, but better than the actual movie.

It started off the arm, not neck, and I like that better. Maiming seems more cruel than murder. Best use was a guy asked Boomerang if they were serious and he said "No, it is just a bluff" so when a fight goes bad the guy runs off, they blow off his arm. While missing arm guy calling Boomer a son of a bitch Boomerang is like "good to know for sure now." More impact then just being dead.
Well, I did agree with Killer Croc and Katana, that should've happened, not saying they were bad in the film, but that would have been great. Nodding at each other out of murderous respect.

Good point, but they could maybe emphasize the fact that they have all these expendable villains waiting in cells and that this time Joker's lunacy reached such a peak that they would rather send the villains first to do most of the job until they all die, and then call a superhero to finish the job and get all the credit. Then the turning point would be that they actually succeed but the government makes sure that they don't get any credit and remain anonymous. That way you still have that complexity of good and evil, they are the bad guys who in the end decide that the Joker is a bit too much of a bad guy and must be stopped, but after the deed is done they are not turned into heroes by the media and the people. They are still bad guys for the people even though we, humble audience, are frustrated that they don't get the recognition they deserve. Plus this way they have no way of leverage on the government to have some kind of reward for their good deed. I may have taken it a bit too far, but hey I love movies.
They could also emphasize the reason they're sending in the squad and not Batman is because of the Chemical bomb idea. If Batman goes in, he'll confiscate or destroy the bomb. The government might want it for themselves (say it's filled with some variation of Joker gas and they want to weaponize it for themselves). That gives them incentive to send in the squad.
Hazards idea is a pretty good another reason could be that its in a city where there isnt a superhero, yes in DCs Earth there are Cities with no Heroes and the only Hero that could make it there in time/before the squad would be Superman... but oh wait... hes supposedly dead... gotta send in that expendable squad of misfits then, plus you could even tie Hazards idea of the government wanting to weaponize a joker gas weapon or it could be altered to it being a top secret weapon the US government was developing that they dont want anyone to know about

I feel like El Diablo could have had a post credit scene that shows him flaming up the bullet and adding a tattoo just like in the comics where his power comes from his tatoos and he revives in the end. Rick Flag could be explained why and how this park got shut down before hand. And I disagree w/ the shoot if escaping idea. I like the bomb in the neck crap. And El Diablo couldve also maybe be on his way back to belle reve because he wants to stay there until he is ready for the next mission and not harm anybody. I would also maybe like a reference to King Shark, or Black Spider, and maybe some more fun, a cool catchphrase for Deadshot, and just more character moments with Rick Flag and Deadshot (Rick Flag Seems Like he Doesnt get that much lines or screen time), Maybe the person who was killed by Killer Croc was Bronze Tiger, or Slip Knot. Maybe Harley hums, "I'm a Harley Girl" while prepping for battle, I like the suit up scene and The Harley Quinn origin scenes, so I would like those 2 to be in there. I disagree with the neck bomb, it's a classic from the comic and without it they would be able to escape quite easily, even against perfectly trained special agents. That said, he's basically describing the movie I wished it would have been! If it wasn't for the perfect casting Suicide Squad would have been a total disaster sadly. I still enjoyed it, because I love the characters and their interpretations, but damn it was bad on technical level!
I do miss Enchantress in the mix though. I didn't hate her nearly as much as the next guy to be honest! I can totally see Joker using her as the ultimate weapon instead of the classic bomb, and I think that was also the original plot that got ripped apart. It would also have been a perfect introduction to the element of magic in DCEU! I just don't want to see a fucking light beam in the middle of a city ever again. It was overused in Iron Man and that was over ten year ago. Enough already!

With the Swat team as opposed to the bombs in their heads they get to choose to be heroes by not going through the trap door. It allows Boomerang to attempt escape without getting his head blown off. It also lets Harley betray the Squad without getting her head blown off and also allows her to truly choose to go against the Joker.
I kind of disliked it but I don't mind people who like it as long as they don't claim it as an amazing movie (which some do) It had some big movie mishaps but I have liked really shitty movies as well. Guilty pleasures are sometimes the best things to have.

There are some bad people in the world like this still but not all. So no, you can't say whites haven't experienced discrimination cause you can see it in just about every aspect of our PC world. Colleges don't look for white males with high GPAs anymore, they have enough of those. Whenever you hear about racism it's when a white guy (or cop) shoots a black guy, even though the majority of people who kill african americans ARE african americans. Is this discrimination as bad as say separating bathrooms? Of course not, but it's discrimination. Equal does not mean revenge for what a previously corrupt group did. Straight white males shouldn't be rejected certain privileges just because their great great grandfathers owned a slave and took a native american's land. (Which I think people also need to remember, if you're of italian, russian or austro-hungarian herritage, your ancestors didn't even participate in slavery when they came over in the late 1800s-1930s)
The only criticism i have is that I would've kept the bombs in the head thing cause Deadshot could take out the people who would shoot them in the head... and exploding heads.

Easy. Anyone can watch a finished movie and come up with ways that it could have been better. I could do it, you could do it, anyone could in theory.
Like I said, "Finished movie". Once the movie is all filmed, edited and ready for release and someone watches it and says "This film is shit", what can they really do? The film has already been made, millions of dollars have been sunk into it, lots of people worked on it, the investors and the studio execs are demanding that it be released to make money for the company. Are they really going to spend millions more to fix the film, or even re-shoot it entirely when there's (technically speaking) nothing wrong with it?
All art is subjective, which is why I said 'technically speaking' nothing is wrong with the films that are released. Everyone has a vision in their mind for a perfect film, or a way for a film to be better, but not many people have the time, money, or resources to make their dream film a reality. The directors who might have had an idea for a film so funny it would make 100% of all living people laugh has to deal with the issues I brought up, and with these issues the idea he initially had will likely come across as a failure in the eyes of the general public, which is more the point I was getting at.
The point is less that everyone has an idea on how a film could be improved, and everybody can critique a film, and moreso that although everyone can say what is good and what is bad, not everyone (including the most talented and visionary directors) can create something that most people would subjectively consider to be good.

I really is sad when someone pitches a far better story idea in less than 20 minutes, than entire filmmaking team (who are being paid) can conjure up with substantially more time. Now I don't necessarily blame David Ayer on all of Suicide Squads shortcomings, as it was clearly altered (by the studio) to be something different than originally intended, and the fact that Ayer only had six weeks to write a script, featuring multiple characters, but the end result is just a joke, and not a funny one. Just another complete waste of talent and time, something that's starting to become all too familiar with DCU films sadly.
dc gave him 6 weeks to write a script and 14 months to film a movie nobody was trying to make a bad movie with more time and creative freedom the movie could have been the next guardians of the galaxy.

The sad thing is that this version makes so much more sense. A key feature of the Suicide Squad is that they complete missions doing the things that the "good guys' can't or won't do, such as killing, maiming, (psychological) torture, etc. The movie we got felt like the team could have been replaced with any number of generic superhero's and nothing would change.

The only thing I didn't like about this guy's rewrite was taking away the bombs in the squad members' necks. That makes the threat of not doing their job correctly a lot more intimidating. I mean, you CAN escape from people who will hunt you down with guns; You CAN'T run away from an explosive in your body, y'know?
Agreed, dedicating so much force just to surround park and keep an eye on SS is a waste since you can just go ahead and overwhelm joker, ofc I understand the point that they will not only look for SS but also goons so they are contained, and people don't want to loose anyone, but still bomb is much more reliable

I think Nolan would have made it too dark and serious. This film has to be dark in the story, yet funny, crazy and colorful in the feel. Somewhere between Burton's insane visuals, Matthew Vaughn's fast-paced storytelling and Nolan's intensity.

They made Harley look like a dumbass. She's somwhat intelligent and uses manipulation (and sex appeal) as her main tools. She's not stupid, she's just batshit crazy. The fact that Joker fucked her up so badly is a testament to him being the ultimate 'master of minds.' Show me the process of how an Arkham psychiatrist was brought under the complete control of the most notorious villain in the DCU (with his hands literally tied behind his back!) Now I'd pay to see that.

Margot Robbie did great with what she was given, but they made her seem like a dumb blonde when she was still Dr Quinzel. Would have been cool if we saw Harley before the Joker, to show just how much damage he did. Then let her work her mind magic on others in the movie, to show there's a brain behind the bod. Would have made for great plot points, twists, compelling themes about love and manipulation, and deeper character development.
I disagree entirely. I thought Robbie's acting felt forced and awkward in all but a couple scenes, and the script only made the problem WORSE. Instead of making me feel like she was Harley, she made me feel like she was doing a bad impression of Harley.

Keep in mind, Harley Quinn used to be the Joker's psychiatrist, so having her part of the team is quite crucial because besides Batman, she's the only person in the world who knows what the Joker is really like, his motives, his thought process, etc. This could also give us some better smooth transitions of Harley's flashbacks of the Joker. But they are not always true. As Harley is practically insane for him, she takes a note from 'The Killing Joke' and makes her memories with Mr J "multiple choice". This only makes the Joker more of an enigma for the Squad and the audience because we have no idea if Harley is telling the truth most of the time until the climax.

Suicide Squad was created to combat SUPERPOWERED BEINGS as stated by the leader. Then why do we have humans who can shoot, throw boomerangs, use a sword, etc. That is not a team built for that. I REALLY wish this was how the real movie panned out. Why do so many big budget movies hire shit writers? If screenwriters would just take the time to sit down and THINK for once, we wouldn't be getting messes like Fantastic 4, Suicide Squad, BvS, etc.

From what i understand, half of the original scripts get changed by what the directors want to do or sometimes there are multiple people writing the script which kills any kind of vision... and yeah... I think one of the reasons hollywood is shit is they don't respect the screen play and the writers vision.

How about instead of finding a Bottle of Whiskey, is Boomerang that has a bottle of some Australian alcohol and he decides to share with them, cause when he is working he likes to drown his worries on Alcohol. And they just grab some cups from the restaurant and start drinking, but Deadshot jokes that it taste like shit. Also when it comes to the trap door, how about the Amuzement park is in a dick and they trap door is simply a lower deck which they park staff use to get in a boat and bring supplies to the stand, and in the lower part there is a boat they could use to escape but they don't.
Also have it be that the government can not enter the park because not only are Joker's goons all around, but is revealed that Joker kidnapped the staff and tourist that were in the park, and he actually the Bombs are just Joker Gas dispensers that when activated release a Joker Toxic like the one we see in the comics were Joker is apparently immortal and which ends with him and batman buried in a cave (you know the comic I mean). And so this first group of people kidnapped get insane and are the ones now causing chaos all round.
I think that solves the problem.
But I also believe that they lost the opportunity to show more of Croc and Kitana since both of them have sad past, as Croc was born with this defects and he had no other path but a path of crime, while Kitana is just an agent of vengeance because of she is that her husband is dead and she promised him that she will rid this world of criminal scum bag.

I didn't like the fact that el diablo just doesn't go down without a fight I would of given him a 5 minute scene of him just going nuts on the goons and nearly defeating the joker but the goons just pile on top of him and then the joker walks over while the other members are being restrained And are forced to watch him pull out a gun and shoot el diablo

Yea, I kinda agree. I think it could work either way. Although, doing it your way would be the expected thing. Not giving El Diablo a chance would have more of an emotional impact and be more Joker like.

Joker was so over-hyped for this movie and he was a shitty side character, i agree that everyone didn't belong there. There's hardened soldiers and strong mutants and assassins and then there's captain boomerang who is a thief, Harley who uses a baseball bat. Enchantress shouldn't have been a villain as she was boring, generic and dull, i don't even remember her brother he was just some fire dude. This couldve been so good but it was lifeless, the plot was dull and exhausted.

After the reviews of Batman vs Superman said it was too dark, Suicide Squad was supposedly rewritten to make it more fun, like the clips shown in the trailers.
The scene where El Diablo explains his backstory is one of the darkest scenes I've ever seen in any movie ever. Especially with Harley's response: "He KILLED them."

Yes Marvel was light and DC was dark. But that was in the last batman trilogy, when they didn't even need filterwash or R rating to strike the audience with deep, philosophical, and grounded to reality depiction to the fundamentals of what evil is.
Jeremy Christian Well the DC films such as Suicide Squad, Man of Steel and Batman V Superman also features more messages than the Marvel movies, they're still gritty and more heavy hitting than the Marvel movies like Avengers and Captain American. Though the movies are almost equally as unrealistic, the DC movies still feature a more dark view on the world itself.
How? More like making it a stretch. I get a big theme from Man of Steel. I honestly think it was good. The conflict between Superman and Zod was incredible. As I could see how it was just two people really doing their best for their own beloved homelands.
Now Batman v Superman, uhh. . Don't bother telling there's any message in this apart from the messy execution and just filling the movie with a bunch of God/Man allegories. That's cheap and easy. And the reason behind Batman and Superman's conflict is simply because they don't bother whatsapp each other first so not to be in a misunderstanding or some diabolical, but hardly genius, evil scheme. Goddammit, how is that even a movie.

I watched all three movies on their premiere in my city. I came as a big ball of hyped viewer. Man of Steel kept me hopeful, BvS sent me home worried, Suicide Squad almost sent me committing suicide.
When Katana and Croc are split up, you could just have them grunt at each other 7 of 8 times before a bunch of bad guys come and they effortlessly murder all of them and then they grunt at each other out of respect. 10/10 would watch again

Your point is invalid however because there is already an animated feature called "Suicide Squad: Assualt on Arkham" and while not the same beat for beat, his vision is considerably close to that, and it wouldn't rely on the live action version being released, save for knowing the exact line up of characters.

This is 100% because I read the SS comics but some of this guys points are.. eh. If Harley was going to open up to anyone, it would be Deadshot since they work together well. Captain Boomerang would never get sappy with Deadshot, nor would he really care about his sad backstory. He's a dick. El Diablo WOULD be fighting(and being super preachy), but not killing. The Harley thing was very good UNTIL you said she would betray them. In the comics the Joker comes back for her(to use her) and she realizes he's not the same person she loved and how abusive he is. She can't/doesn't go back once she's acknowledged that. And if that did happen, Joker would need a reason to take back Harley before disposing of her on the ferris wheel.
Also they should have bombs in their necks otherwise they'd escape ages ago and the bombs ensure that they do what they're told. I'm sure they could outsmart a swat team. In addition to that, Amanda Waller would be barking orders at them all the time, which would further cause conflict within the team until something happens that destroys their communications devices and they can finally think for themselves. As for the bar scene, the only way the squad(who don't have bombs in their necks, per the videos logic) would not take the chance to run was if their lives were also in danger.
Either way, this video had really good ideas and would be much better than the movie. HOWEVER, I don't know why they would send the SS for Joker when, you'know, Batman exists. Never in the comics have the SS pursued Joker, nor would they have a reason to unless something happened to literally all the heroes in Gotham.
(P.s for anyone who questions Harley's usefulness(or lack of) to the team, he greatest ability is her unpredictability. Also she's basically a genius)

You make some good points but, I think Harley betraying the team would work better cause that would show her character in the animated series and basically most comics in a nutshell. Yes, she did have a character change and leave the joker but that only happened after years of evolution and this is only the first movie with her in.
Batman could be M.I.A. either due to the death of Jason Todd weighing heavily on him, or in the case of Knightfall, where Bane broke his spine(in fact this is something i would like to see done right in a movie, they kind of did it in the 3rd batman film, but they changed way to many things to make it feel right.)

3- Harley and Joker are both psychopathic maniacs who just can't get enough pain from each other so it would lead out for an epic comfrontation
4- Batman or batgirl would be a great addition to the script, when it comes to fight the clowns what better than the bats

There is still something to be added: The actual feeling that these guys aren't good in any way shape or form and will do everything to find another way to escape this situation. I have something like this in mind for the moment they all wanted to leave in the tunnel.
Boomerang: Oi guys, if we run away we will get shot.
Deadshot: What are you crazy? Have you seen this guy? He's nuts and he's got a bomb! No way we're fast enough to disable him. We're not Batman.
Boomerang: But these freakin' soldiers are just waiting for us to retreat and they'll shoot!
Killer Croc: Grrr ... not good.
Boomerang: Wait a minute ... I think I got something.
Deadshot: Not again one of your stupid ideas!
Boomerang: His goons are searching for us. They will come after us in the tunnel. If we play it smart, they will be right behind us before we face Wallers people.
Deadshot: I like where this is going. You want them both to fight this out.
Boomerang: Exactly! Why should we be the cannon fodder. These assholes will get the war they started. And we will use this opportunity to get the hell out of this mess.
Katana: Retreat isn't in my code of honor.

Boomerang: Trust me Tao. This is just a tactical retreat to fulfill our mission. This is our only chance
Katana: ... I will do as you say, but no tricks!
So Katana alerts Jokers henchmen, they follow the squad through the tunnel, the Squad hides in a corner so that Jokers Henchmen dont see them, but they face off Wallers Soldiers. There will be a giant shootout and many people from both sides die. The Squad gets in on the action and they take out a lot of Jokers henchmen, but also a lot of governmental soldiers (Katana just took out the Henchmen, but gets shot on the shoulder and leg and can't follow Croc, Boomerang and Deadshot who are escaping this massacre).
Rick flag comes to late and just finds a very injured Katana. Meanwhile Joker gets bored, takes Harley with him on a helicopter and blows up the whole theme park. Harley is amused, but Joker throughs her out the window while saying: "You know, my love, what I wished for my birthday? (Harley: What, Mr J.?) For Batman to be there on the place youre sitting! He laughs histerically while Harley drops in the water of the sea.
She swims to the land and Croc finds her and fishes her out. The Squad is reunites and free. Everybody goes their way.
Now this is a good ending.

For his idea the bombs don't work because an important part is the moment they decide to escape.
If they have bombs in their body there's no point in escaping, because they would blow up anyways.
Without bombs they have an actual chance to get away unscathed and makes it more meaningful when they decide to stay and be heroes rather than be selfish.
He can use the way in the movie that they had the bomb but for some reason it was not working (and somehow they realise that)

Batman was the one who got the Suicide Squad together, he was also forming the Justice League... He might of hoped that the squad could kill the joker because he made his vou not to kill after his parents were gunned down.(insert my idea going off of what the video is suggesting) The joker creates a fun house while in hidding and people in the area go missing. He is creating a brain washed and chemically treated population to go out in clown outfits to steal, harrass and terrify everyone... Regular people cannot go near the fun house carnival because they might be turned so that is why the squad has to go.... fans can always think of good movie ideas... this is like they are already crazy where can it go wrong but it can... ultimately the bad guys make joker believe they can be the best bad team together which is what he wated but the stabb him in the back figuratively or maybe literally and they get a happy ending.

This is soooo wrong, Katana is a hero not a villain. She chooses to join the suicide squad in the movie, she isn't forced. Also bombs should be kept in the head, more true to the comics. And where did rick flag go in this version? He doesn't do anything. and why is el diablo just killed off? He is one of the cool characters and he doesn't even get to use his powers. Also why doesn't batman stop the joker instead of the suicide squad? Thats his job right to keep gotham safe. I do agree with the f magic part though I like that. Overall this version isn't all that great, but better than the actual movie.

It started off the arm, not neck, and I like that better. Maiming seems more cruel than murder. Best use was a guy asked Boomerang if they were serious and he said "No, it is just a bluff" so when a fight goes bad the guy runs off, they blow off his arm. While missing arm guy calling Boomer a son of a bitch Boomerang is like "good to know for sure now." More impact then just being dead.

Wait. But the whole reason they sent in the squad was because they were expendable. If it's just the joker doing joker things, why not send in batman? Or another super hero?
Good point, but they could maybe emphasize the fact that they have all these expendable villains waiting in cells and that this time Joker's lunacy reached such a peak that they would rather send the villains first to do most of the job until they all die, and then call a superhero to finish the job and get all the credit. Then the turning point would be that they actually succeed but the government makes sure that they don't get any credit and remain anonymous. That way you still have that complexity of good and evil, they are the bad guys who in the end decide that the Joker is a bit too much of a bad guy and must be stopped, but after the deed is done they are not turned into heroes by the media and the people. They are still bad guys for the people even though we, humble audience, are frustrated that they don't get the recognition they deserve. Plus this way they have no way of leverage on the government to have some kind of reward for their good deed.

They could also emphasize the reason they're sending in the squad and not Batman is because of the Chemical bomb idea. If Batman goes in, he'll confiscate or destroy the bomb. The government might want it for themselves (say it's filled with some variation of Joker gas and they want to weaponize it for themselves). That gives them incentive to send in the squad.

Hazards idea is a pretty good another reason could be that its in a city where there isnt a superhero, yes in DCs Earth there are Cities with no Heroes and the only Hero that could make it there in time/before the squad would be Superman...

I feel like El Diablo could have had a post credit scene that shows him flaming up the bullet and adding a tattoo just like in the comics where his power comes from his tatoos and he revives in the end. Rick Flag could be explained why and how this park got shut down before hand. And I disagree w/ the shoot if escaping idea. I like the bomb in the neck crap. And El Diablo couldve also maybe be on his way back to belle reve because he wants to stay there until he is ready for the next mission and not harm anybody. I would also maybe like a reference to King Shark, or Black Spider, and maybe some more fun, a cool catchphrase for Deadshot, and just more character moments with Rick Flag and Deadshot (Rick Flag Seems Like he Doesnt get that much lines or screen time), Maybe the person who was killed by Killer Croc was Bronze Tiger, or Slip Knot. Maybe Harley hums, "I'm a Harley Girl" while prepping for battle, I like the suit up scene and The Harley Quinn origin scenes, so I would like those 2 to be in there. Maybe Rick Flag and Amanda Waller should have more important Roles in this too. And Once again You should be in directing. Mcu makes me feel like disney world Dceu makes me feel like a dead puppy
I disagree with the neck bomb, it's a classic from the comic and without it they would be able to escape quite easily, even against perfectly trained special agents. That said, he's basically describing the movie I wished it would have been! If it wasn't for the perfect casting Suicide Squad would have been a total disaster sadly. I still enjoyed it, because I love the characters and their interpretations, but damn it was bad on technical level!
I do miss Enchantress in the mix though. I didn't hate her nearly as much as the next guy to be honest! I can totally see Joker using her as the ultimate weapon instead of the classic bomb, and I think that was also the original plot that got ripped apart. It would also have been a perfect introduction to the element of magic in DCEU! I just don't want to see a fucking light beam in the middle of a city ever again. It was overused in Iron Man and that was over ten year ago. Enough already!

Good story. But main reason why Joker is not main villain is that he is too small threat to the team, Batman can handle him alone. Need to be the bigger one for Waller to show her team is good enough for challenging tasks. I admit that Enchantress is too weird villain with her magic but who else? Deathstroke, Vandal Savage, Chronos maybe?
I would have preferred Deathstroke. And then perhaps Joker could have been revealed as being in cahoots with him, but was only interested in getting Harley back.

Joel Espinosa basically their idea behind escaping through the trap door makes sense with no bombs
With the Swat team as opposed to the bombs in their heads they get to choose to be heroes by not going through the trap door. It allows Boomerang to attempt escape without getting his head blown off. It also lets Harley betray the Squad without getting her head blown off and also allows her to truly choose to go against the Joker.

Popgum Flu I love how every group now discriminates against whites because we "can't be discriminated". Believe it or not, profiling, racism, stereotyping can all be against whites. The biggest example of this is everyone blaming ALL whites as being racist colonizers who bought slaves and beat women (aka our distant ancestors). There are some bad people in the world like this still but not all. So no, you can't say whites haven't experienced discrimination cause you can see it in just about every aspect of our PC world. Colleges don't look for white males with high GPAs anymore, they have enough of those. Whenever you hear about racism it's when a white guy (or cop) shoots a black guy, even though the majority of people who kill african americans ARE african americans. Is this discrimination as bad as say separating bathrooms? Of course not, but it's discrimination. Equal does not mean revenge for what a previously corrupt group did. Straight white males shouldn't be rejected certain privileges just because their great great grandfathers owned a slave and took a native american's land. (Which I think people also need to remember, if you're of italian, russian or austro-hungarian herritage, your ancestors didn't even participate in slavery when they came over in the late 1800s-1930s)

I wish I was being sarcastic or exaggerating by saying this, but I enjoyed those 17 minutes of you just explaining your plot more than I did seeing the actual movie. It just goes to show you that the plot is the most important thing in a movie. Everything else builds on top of it. Honestly, well done.

Slip knot was a horrible character and in no way shape or form should've been added to the story. I agree tho that they should've made it longer. It felt like a lot of in complete thoughts. Although I like this version too. He should also interpret some of the animated movie "assault on Arkham" and it would be golden
