I recently stumbled upon one of your videos and was instantly hooked. Admittedly it was the accent( i am from the USA) but after watching i cant thank you enough for doing what you do. I just started detailing for Rosenbauer MN a firetruck assembly campus. I am the only detailer we have...we build 180 trucks a year. Thanks to your true, honest, hard, and diligent work over the years and the fact you share your wealth of knowledge through the wonderfully shot and edited videos you produce..... Thank you for being you, your passion is evident and because of your advice i am able to get through my work with confidence. I am really grateful to you. 👍👍👍
I feel like I need to be paying you for such incredible content and great tips. I would love to find out what you use in your home brew decontamination soap. I also LOVE super degreaser and go through a gallon a month as my economy degreaser. But I also keep optimum power clean for tires that have had heavy amounts of silicone based tire dressing used without ever cleaning them before applying. Also, for cleaning my polishing pads, presoaking my microfibers, cleaning carpets and fabrics, and cleaning interiors for my maintenance customers, I am in love with Einzett 1Z Blitz APC Would love to see a video of your favorite apc's and degreasers!!!!! Keep them coming!
I'm pretty sure the meguiars soft wash os the same thing as megs deep crystal wash sold in the US just under a different label. I buy that in 2 liter bottles here for regular maintenance washes. Works great and doesn't leave any residuals on the paint after rinsing. Just picked up my first bottle of ultimate wash & wax last week. Got it on sale for $5 which was a huge deal. Going to use it this weekend. I think I'll use this for my weekly washes on my daily driver. It smells amazing. Much thicker liquid and it seems to have slightly better lubrication.
The person in the next comment hit the nail on the head... You do some amazing and most importantly honest reviews. I feel like I should pay you.... It keeps all is weekend detail wariors from buying 10 items to find one that works.
Wow, it's amazing to see how different we are. I can't stand the Meguiars soaps, never got happy with the results. For bucket washes, my current favourites is either Chemical Guys citrus wash and gloss (for unprotected cars), or MR Pink for cars with wax/sealants. The citrus wash and gloss is actually what got me in to detailing, and even though I'm by no means a professional, I now love cleaning and polishing cars. I do believe the reason I really love these soaps is because it was the first time I was really happy with the result. Funny how that works, if you find something you like, you tend to stick to it, or atleast I do.
I just did a wash with Maguiar's Ultimate Wash & Wax on '11 Toyota Highlander - did foam power wash and then hand washed with microfiber mit to agitate the dirt off- power washed it at the end and it looks great! Also, it helped make my wheel rims look shiny again after using a wheel brush. A little bit of effort & quality soap go a long way. Apx. $10 at Walmart.
Bowden's have some great products and some not so great products, and I've used most of their range to compare them to other retail brands. Autoglym UHD Shampoo is exceptional for the home user - give that a shot too. Would love to try the Nanolicious but it’s very expensive - even on special $45/2L is high
True, but it’s the best wash I’ve ever used. The shine and cleaning ability is second to none! You can get about 65 washes out of a 2L bottle, which works out to about 67¢ per wash if you get it on a regular 30% off sale.
Hey mate, Thanks for the vid!!! Completely new to car washing as only recently got my own car. Car is outside here in Aus surrounded by trees etc. Been washing cars once a month using Soft Wash as a pre wash and Wash & Wax as a hand wash. Wondering if Next gen as a pre wash/snow foam followed by a hands wash with Nanolicious is a better combo? Also polen, grime etc build up seem to remain on car paint as can see some of it and feel with my fingers but conscious not to apply pressure with wash mitt not to scratch paint. Do you reckon I should do something like your video "How To Prepare Car Paint For Polishing & Waxing" followed by a Meguiar Ultimate Compound & Polish to tackle this build up before I can move back to regular washes or do you think something more advanced like your vid "A GUIDE TO RESTORING CAR PAINT" is in order with producst like Snow +, Nova Lustre, Clarity streak free cleaner etc Thanks a lot🙏🙏🙏
It really depends on what you feel comfortable doing, but if you’re new to detailing I’d suggest starting slow and building up to paint correction as it’s a lot to jump straight into all at once. So I’d recommend following that “how to prepare your car paint for waxing and polishing” video to get the paint nicely clean and bare, and then grab something like Autoglym Super Resin Polish (SRP) and just hand polish the whole car (I’ve also got a video on using SRP) and I think that’s a great way to start and get to know the detailing process without taking on too much as a beginner. You should also find that after that, you’re paint will be easier to clean and maintain with something like soft wash but you can certainly also use NXT or Nanolicious if you like, there’s no rules and trying a few different products is always great to compare results!
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Thanks very much for your super detailed reply!!! Much appreciated🙏🙏🙏 Yes brand new to car detailing so could see I was not doing enough but wasn't sure where to start and how much to take on. Also super worried about damaging the car... Will follow “how to prepare your car paint for waxing and polishing” and "How to use Autoglym Super Resin Polish".👍 Can't wait to get started! Thanks again very much. Cheers
If I didn't want to apply stand alone protection but just wanted a simple, hastle free wash detergent/protection, would washing with Meguiares ultimate wash and wax each time keep my paint clean and protected if washed once every 3 or 4 weeks? (my car never gets really dirty and usually washed about once every 3-4 weeks) Thank you!
Well if you’re looking for something that not going to mess with the existing paint protection, then Snow would be the purest, followed by Soft Wash and then NXT.
Great video. I have been using the Duragloss 2 step pain protection on my vehicle over the years. Do you suggest the shampoo only or should I use one with a wax/conditioner in it, thanks?
I agree, meguairs is an old faithful product, but for me I have a soft spot for some of autoglym's products, however Optimum has some high performance stuff the wax and wash they have lasts almost a month
Hi sandro, just a quick question, now that i have put the new meguiers spray on hybrid wax SIO2 based, which is the best car wash to use with the snow cannon, i think that the gold class is good, ( but the issue i think i will have is that those waxes and conditioners may impede the spray on SIO2 meguiers products or will it make it even better filling in those areas of the paint surface which requires wax or conditioners) but the meguiers soft gel car wash would be better, simple because when its washed again touchless wash method & no WAX/conditioners to worry about), i will still go over the car with the meguiers spray on SIO2 product instead of spray and use the high pressure rinse method simply because of the waste of the product. :) Please respond, PS also i have done my rims which are painted a gloss finished, so we will see how easy they clean up with bowdens wheel cleaner or meguiers wheel cleaner, depending on which one is on special. :)
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing thank you, i thought as much. cheers Sandro and have a good weekend. :) I bet they will bring out a Maintenance wash soap for those who have a Spray on SIO2 based sealant, like you and i have said meguiers are really behind the 8 ball when it comes to existing real good products, so i was thinking of getting NOVA jet spray on sealant when i run out of the meguiers spray on hybrid wax SIO2 based sealant. :) I only got it because it was on special $ 25.00 bucks. :)
Gold Class has bonding issues...damn. It's my favorite shampoo, and will often follow it with a spray wax/sealant or detailer. Hmmm, something to think about on my next shampoo purchase.
Hey mate, does the Meguiars soft wash have a hood shine or any. Im looking at a couple of soaps but don't know which one is best. Have left a list on my option. Would be much appreciated if you give feedback on my options Meguiars Ultimate wash and wax Meguiars soft wash Bowdens nanolicious wash Gold Class Nxt gen wash Is boss gloss from bowdens any good?
It really depends on what your goal is. Soft Wash is great if you want something gentle that won’t mess too much with your paint protection in place. But if want something to act as protection then Nanolicious would be my choice. NXT Gen and Gold Class are in between adding a little more enhancers than Soft Wash but nothing to the extent of Nanolicious. I haven’t tried Boss Gloss so I can’t say mate.
Great video as always. Maguiars degreaser or CarPro MultiX for cleaning the exterior paint of a car? Which one is more effective? What's the best APC/degreaser and shampoo combination to really clean the car exterior of all film contamination? You can make a video on that maybe. I've always felt that all these pH neutral shampoos are just too mild and don't do much.
Thanks but it’s honestly very difficult to answer those questions without some context and side by side testing to make some fair conclusions. I like both of them but I guess today it’s multi-x I mostly use and I don’t feel as much need to mix them in with car downs as the decontamination car wash detergents have gotten much better in the last few years.
Hi, I enjoy the video you have created, it is very informative and help me a lot in understanding the product I can use. I can see you have using Meg Super Degreser as Decon. May I know how actually you did decon wash using Meg Super Degreser ? and what will be the dilution that you will use for Super degreser ? Would love to try it out. Look forward to hear from you
Do you think it would be possible to use Chemtech as a snow foam pre wash for detailing cars? I feel like it is the best bang for buck in comparison to many other brands out there. It can also be bought in bulk and from a detailer's view it would tempting to use. I understand it would probably not be suitable for the more high end cars.
This video was incredibly useful. We need to buy the gear to wash and maintain our new car and to be honest I had no idea what to choose. I was already leaning towards Meguiars nxt wash and the nxt sealant but was also thinking I might try the autoglym ultra hd shampoo wash. After watching this I think I will stick to the original plan of meguiars nxt products. With so many choices on the market I'm glad I found this video to help make it a little clearer

Hi Sandro love your show I have car pro uk 3.0 ceramic coating on my car what shampoo should I buy for a weekly maintenance wash. You advise is very valued thank you. Cheers Marco
Thank you for your amazing content. Can I ask your advice? If I'm using Meguiar's hybrid ceramic spray as a final coating, what soap is best to use prior for washing? NXT or Ultimate Wash n Wax? Which would bond better?
Hey mate so does Meguiars Ultimate Wash & Wax have any bonding issues? If I apply a sealant would I be able to use it for my maintenance wash? Thanks great video!
Hey Sandro, I just purchased some Soft Wash Gel & after reading the guidelines it says to use 40ml of product for every 4 litres. That would mean in a 20L bucket 200ml of the product or half a bottle. It seems an awful lot of product, especially when I'm used to normally putting two cap fulls of product in. Does this seem right to you, how much of the product do you use & in what size bucket?
Car Craft Auto Detailing Unfortunately I can only find the 473ml bottles at about £7 each here in England. I say unfortunately because the smell you mentioned which is definitely a Dr. Pepper type of smell is pretty damm nice! lol I was thinking I won't need 20L to wash my car, so what you're saying makes sense (Nothing new there lol). I think though after I've used up this bottle of Soft Wash Gel I'll look to get the CarPro Reset as it works out much better value with its better dilution ratio & will last a lot longer. Thanks for your help yet again & as always keep these videos coming, great work!
So Sandro you put meguiars gel soft wash with morning fresh red color and that way you have a safe de con and wash system, is that what is in your mix, lol :) if so its great buddy. :)
I was about to get that yellow bottle of meguair wash and wax but was wondering just how effective it is. I will be getting it now. Thx for the insights! Armourall have definitely disappointed me many times..their relatively high prices does not make their products that worth it.
Hey Sandro, curious to know your opinion on certain car wash bays around Melbourne, particularly the ones around Melbourne’s north and North west. I found one in Caroline Springs that has a separate foam spray which seemed to be ok as well as a Clear Coat Spray. Beads the water pretty well but not sure if it lasts long. I found it only lasts a couple of days. Always been curious on what products these bays actually use. Should they be avoided?
Love the reviews! I was going to purchase some optimum onr to add to my wash bucket. Do you thing the onr wash & wax is not a good idea since my car has a sealant on it?
Hey mate. If you were to say what pre wash FOAMING agent you would use from now on would use Concours Snow Foam plus or your 3 in 1 solution you have developed???? I watched you wheel and tyre clean video too. Does using say Iron X or Scholls Rim7 give better results than your physical clean or just save bit of time but you still have to do a similar clean like you physically did using brushes and Wheel bright cleaner????? Cheers mate.
Hi mate. I just needed to cover a few more bases with regards to washing cars. I am going to get some Concours Snow Foam+ thanks to your great review and recommendations. What i was curious about is the foams washes like say Car Pro Hydrofoam that both Foams/Pre washes the car but then adds a so called silica sealant similar to a wash/wax treatment that supposed to give three months protection. So in this case would you 1. Use Concours Snow Plus+ plus washing to prep car for paint correction/Sealant and 2. Use Car Pro Hydrofoam to both Pre wash/Wash the car properly plus add a reasonable protective layer in a time saving one step process. I have already Softwash, Bowdens Nanolishes and Nextzett Auto Glanz car Shampoo in my collection. I thought about getting Car Pro Reload and/or your recommended Magifoam but what are you thoughts???? I can see the value in a ONE STEP FOAM and wash that also protects uncoated paint for say people in a hurry or not interested in a real quality paint finish. I just wanted to develop some processes that give you options in detailing cars so you can tailor for different cost and quality expectations. Hope i make sense here.
so when is wash & wax soaps used? I understand regular soaps like Adams or migueries gel are meant to clean and keep sealents clean but what's the purpose of wash &wax? when would you use it? and
thanks for your reply will definitely sub! Here's my understanding and please let me know if I'm wrong. Regular car soap is used to clean recently coated or waxed cars. while wash and wax soaps are used for cars with degraded coats/wax surfaces that are needed for some protection until a proper wax/sealent job is done.
+Car Craft Auto Detailing I notice that aswell even with other youtubers reviews a wash and wax soap over a freshly coated painted doesn't have the same water behavior as it did before applied with the wash and wax soap. Thanks so much and keep up the good work!
Great video as always. So lots of questions on meguires lineup. First the soft gel is very hard for me to get in US but want to try it for sure. The next gen wash I can get so you say it leaves a sealant and a shine? The gold class I have and use it often, very slick thought it was one of the best but your not that crazy about it. You say the ultimate wash wax is amazing? Tried it years ago and was a bit grabby on surface not much suds not sure why maybe I should try it again?
Hey man how come you don't include mother's products in your retail reviews? I think they generally are better value and esier to understand their range compared to meguairs
Very comprehensive review! I'm wondering if anyone uses Meg's Soft Wash in a foam lance? I like to apply my detergent via snow foam lance and looking for a new soap for my newly paint sealed car. I've been using their Gold Class until now but I want to try Soft Wash.
Hey vid is ok but the music is too loud and distracting when trying to pay attention to you. also video is pretty long you should probably seperate this into 2-3 videos probably would help your channel too but what do i know. Good luck
I use Bilt and Hamber products as I find them great quality and if diluted are cheap by comparison. I love their Double Speed Wax too, as good as Auto Glym but costs much less. I'd. be interested on your thoughts Sando. Here another Detailer does a review: th-cam.com/video/4M0y7IWIZAc/w-d-xo.html

Thanks for your help yet again & as always keep these videos coming, great work!
Thanks for these great information. Do you know if meguiar gel wash ideal for ceramic coating? How different is it from the soft gel?
So Sandro you put meguiars gel soft wash with morning fresh red color and that way you have a safe de con and wash system, is that what is in your mix, lol :) if so its great buddy. :)
I was about to get that yellow bottle of meguair wash and wax but was wondering just how effective it is. I will be getting it now. Thx for the insights! Armourall have definitely disappointed me many times..their relatively high prices does not make their products that worth it.
I've definitely heard many great stuff about meguiars! Keep up the good work.
Great video bro , great tips thanks .
Hey CCAD,
I like your advice--very sensible.
Are the sealants that you recommend (in your other videos) good to use on PPF clear bras?
May I know what the dilution ratios are for your own mix you made with Meg's SD, dish soap and Magifoam?
Car Craft Auto Detailing awesome thank you! I'm going to check if they sell that in the US
Hey Sandro, curious to know your opinion on certain car wash bays around Melbourne, particularly the ones around Melbourne’s north and North west. I found one in Caroline Springs that has a separate foam spray which seemed to be ok as well as a Clear Coat Spray. Beads the water pretty well but not sure if it lasts long. I found it only lasts a couple of days. Always been curious on what products these bays actually use. Should they be avoided?
Car Craft Auto Detailing cheers mate!
Love the reviews! I was going to purchase some optimum onr to add to my wash bucket. Do you thing the onr wash & wax is not a good idea since my car has a sealant on it?
What dilution ratio do you use the morning frsh soap to strip wax?
thanks!
Thank you for the great advice. Snow foam it is then.
Again it helps clarify that I am on the right track. Look forward to the next vid. Thanks again.
so when is wash & wax soaps used?
Incredible video, very impressed
Hey man how come you don't include mother's products in your retail reviews? I think they generally are better value and esier to understand their range compared to meguairs
Sonax Car Shampoo, is Like 7€ for 1,5L best bang for the Buck in Germany
Hi Sandro , did you try Megs Hyper ?
What about chemical guys shampoos?
Very comprehensive review! I'm wondering if anyone uses Meg's Soft Wash in a foam lance?
I like to apply my detergent via snow foam lance and looking for a new soap for my newly paint sealed car. I've been using their Gold Class until now but I want to try Soft Wash.
Car Craft Auto Detailing great, thanks for the reply!
Ok thanks
This is an old video....the 2 bucket method is dead. MMOB....multiple mitts one bucket is the new standard.
Thanks
Hmm, no Purple Power?
Meguiers wash n wax a month without washing
Hey vid is ok but the music is too loud and distracting when trying to pay attention to you. also video is pretty long you should probably seperate this into 2-3 videos probably would help your channel too but what do i know. Good luck
It`s a compilation of products so you cannot expect to much time on each product, It`s just the music is too loud
You forgot Mothers car wash 😡
Ok thanks
