17 minutes of pure car cleaning heaven, the only after do I realise, wait..... this is considered for beginners.... can you imagine the 1000 steps for professional cleaning and all this was just outside the car, I think I need to sit down this is too much to take in. Can I just hire you to do it for me??
I shine my car like this and I'd continue to do so even if no one else but me was ever gonna see it. It's satisfying and enjoyable to take pride maintaining something you enjoy. Shining my car is when I do some of my best thinking. Nice to see someone else's routine - Thank you for the video 👍
Great thing you did do... kept the sales to the description. You didn't pause every 5 seconds to tell the viewer what product you were using. This vid is very useful for any amateur to detailing. Way too much hate in the comments though. 3 bucket guy getting upset when he uses 3 buckets and still watched a beginner detail vid. lul. Thanks for putting this together.
Exactly, thanks for the comment. We do try to reply to some of the negativity and explain the thought process behind our videos but many people are simply beyond discussion. So many "pro's" spending 20 minutes of their live watching beginners videos as you say :)
Was going to write the same thing. A lot of channels just start off with a fairly clean car where you can hardly tell the difference between before and after.
Thank you. Indeed we did miss to mention that part as we thought it best to go into this in depth in a later video, so much detail for people new to the hobby to pick up on and the use of multiple buckets we find only causes more investment and confusion initially. It's a detailed topic in itself and very hard to include in a short snippet on a video. Glad you enjoyed it anyway and thanks for the comment :)
READ THIS COMMENT!!! Don’t wash your mitt in the same bucket. Use 2 buckets one for clean one for dirty. Watch a video on 2 bucket method please!!! For you cars sake!!!
This detailing video is very detailed. As an amateur hobbyist detailer, I do skip or combine some of these steps. I do the pre-wash after the wash with bug and tar remover. I try and use the product sparingly, rather than dousing the whole vehicle in it when only a few spots may need it. I combine the snow foam and wash steps and just use an Ortho Dial N Spray Hose End Sprayer to douse the vehicle with a solution of Meguiar's car shampoo, let it set in, then lather with a wash mitt. On the wheels I use a short bristle brush to get the spokes, the outer edges of the drums, and the sidewalls. I don't bother with wheel woolies. Occasionally I'll take off the wheels and clean them separately, using the same short bristle brush. The details stage is one I've been skipping but probably should be doing. For the decon stage, I just rely on the clay bar to pull up all the contaminants. On the polishing stage, I focus only on the areas that need it (look for scratches, swirl marks), and I have a scratch repair kit from Turtle Wax. I keep a touch-up paint pen handy for deep scratches and rock chips. I skip the sealant stage and just rely on the wax to provide all the protection. The trim stage is another stage I've been neglecting but should be doing it. I also skip the finishing stage, as I don't want to put chemicals on the wax if I don't have to.
Nice car. Nice video. I’m glad you did a hand polish and wax. I did them for years until I finally bought a polisher but it’s nice to see someone taking the time to do it the good old fashioned way.
personally I’m a fan of the 63 bucket technique and use freshly killed swans’ necks for the door jams .. Jokes aside great vid, most of us have probably spent so much money on cleaning products without the proper know how, thanks for taking the time to put this together
I think this was a great video weather you’re learning how to detail or even someone who does this for work and just a bit rusty and haven’t touched a panel in a couple months. Step by step as long as you follow the instructions on each chemical along with the order this demonstration provides anyone can increase their skill level with consistent detailing. Also doing a back car for the demo I give a two thumbs up. 👏 great job.
Maksem Productions works fine if you don’t want to touch your car but can take long in my experience. I normally only use it for hard to reach areas and when I’m going to wax or apply a sealant and I don’t want water running down the crevasses later while I’ve got the polisher going, ruining the sealant/wax. Oh and my opinion on waxing the glass, paste wax leaves a haze, liquid works, but I usually only treat the front windshield and use a dedicated rain repellent. I feel they last longer.
In certain cases we would tend to agree yes, however if the vehicle is heavily soiled like this was we always find it best to do wheels after you have carried out a full pre wash and snowfoam so that as much soiling is removed from the wheels as possible during the pre wash stage, allowing the wheel cleaner to simply target those areas that a pre wash can not remove. In short, you dont end up wasting the wheel cleaners effectiveness on soiling that could be washed away with simple cleaning methods. Totally dependant on the job in hand and in some cases it can be best to tackle the wheels first as you say. All down to how you feel comfortable really and there is no right or wrong way around this stage :) Always nice to hear others views also, thanks for sharing. In the instance of a safe wash also we would 100% do wheels before snow foaming, or during its dwell.
I do it both ways. I will say though when I foam first and then clean tires I feel I release more dirt and that brown stain that’s in them. So it just depends on how dirty the car is to me.
15 stages for beginners?! Then for advanced would be around 40 and for pro permanent ongoing status..? Holy moly, for beginners should be something more like: 1. Clean/decontaminate with soapy water (does both) 2. Use microfobire to dry the car 3. Polish/clay bar the surface (polish for removing minor scratches to be done rather not often and clay bar safe for paint removing most of visible imperfections) 4. Waxing/sealing the paint and buffing for finish. Done! You are welcome.
Ah TH-cam, where years of experience and knowledge demonstrated on a video faces remarks from self proclaimed "professionals" in the chat, all to eager to tell you how superior their method is and how incorrect yours may be. roll windows down to get top part of glass where it meets the tracks, move the car forward to get the complete tire, clean rubber on wipers. Check weather before hand may have to detail car early or later in the day when its cooler. Good video
Thought a ceramic sealant was supposed to go on after wax to create the seal of the shine? so many videos say wax first then sealant. More confused than ever...
Excellent, thank you this has really helped an old man out! I'm 73 worked my balls off all my life very long hours saving for retirement! now retired I decided to detail my car!!!! Ha Ha Ha Mug that I am! Easy I thought all I need is a polisher & I'm away!..... Yea right! Savings gone, Mrs has left me & the bank manager want's to talk about my over draught!
Thank you for the kind words. Your reply has made my day! You have worked hard all your life, now is your chance to chill out and do what you enjoy, dont let anyone tell you otherwise! Be sensible all the same, plenty of miss leading marketing out there to grab your hard earned case! Stay safe 🙂
I don’t suffer with bird shit because my car is under a car port, I do how ever get cats licking there ass and leaving hairs all over my boot lid because they are in the shade the bastards.
Great video!!!!!!!!. You are a very thourough detailer. I love the way you went through every step. Ive never heard that song before however I think it is the perfect song for this video. Thank you for sharing. Keep up the great work. God bless
Is snow foam necessary? Or the tar remover? I'm new to the business and I'm just curious if it's worth it. I do want to give my customers the best, but could I still achieve that same result without it? Maybe at least for now? Just curious! Great video by the way. The overall steps were laid out orderly but maybe can I somehow streamline the process to get more cars done in a day? Any suggestions for that too would be great! I would greatly appreciate the feedback! I really want to do a great job. Thanks!
If you're running a business then the snow foam/foam cannon is a must have! It gets most the dirt off the car before you start your hands on wash. The tar remover in my opinion is not that necessary. I only use it on occasions. Hope this helps.
I really didn't mean to question your work or process I'm sure what you did was the right thing to do with necessary however if I had a car that nice it would never need such an effort. When people get close to the Finish to check and see if there are scratches in my clear coat I usually bash their face into that surface.
This detailing video is soo satisfying . Need more videos like dis . Thanks for sharing this to us . As beginners the processes are very easy to understand. - Bijetri Bose
And that is how you add serious value to your car, I love detailing my 2003 BMW 325ti Compact and making it look like a million dollars next to a newer car ! I have never used a clay bar but might give it a go after watching this , Seems to be a good thing rather than T cutting every few years to get that mirror shine. Thanks for the upload the car looked amazing....
This is the very best super best car detailing video I have seen so far and as a first time car owner it helps me alot to have a step by step guide to cleaning my car. Love it.
This is a great video. Thanks for putting it together. Exactly what I wanted for when I take my car to Spain for a show.... Want it to look the best it can. Also, for the nay-sayers, this video is important for anyone thinking of going into the detailing business. And yes, it will cost more than a tenner completed by Romanians at your local Tesco's car-park....
Finally a detailing video that's relatable on a dirty car, most of these videos feature a car that's as clean as it gets by my standards or either a 360 step 4 day restauration project.
Wish I had the inclination to keep my car that clean but the products cost more than mine I will detailing my dad's car as birthday present thanks for the informative video
nice, I vacuumed my brothers ashtray car, maguiars spray clean interior, door jams, sprayed the dirty wheels with fairy liquid then took it to the carwash, job done. looks like new.
You forgot 1 step.....Compounding! The claying only removes residue and “Fallout”! The compounding would further that by removing swirls and small scratches!
Not all cars need it. It acts like and paper which is why it removes fine swirls and scratches. You’re essentially leveling your clear coat so you don’t want to compound too much, only when needed. I only compound areas when I need to remove scratches and I follow up with a polish for uniformity. Claying a is a safe way of removing contaminants that leaves the surface smooth and ready for a sealant.
Matthew Webb to answer your question...compounding comes after decontamination. And the other comment is correct, you don’t always have to Compound your vehicle, but why would you only do the part that just need sit? I’m not going to shave half my face because only spots are coming in!
Roughdraft214 I guess you don’t have hard water or bird shit on your vehicle! I sure would hate for you to do one my vehicles. You compound or you don’t.
good video, basic & simple steps , easy to follow...wondering why clay bar wasn't used on all the glass, even a stanley blade to remove dirt etc before using glass cleaner?
I guess with a expensive BMW. You do all those levels on the paint. My detail is vacuuming the inside carpets after taking out the mats. Detailing the inside door panels and and jams. Then the dash and vents. Clean the inside windows. Pull the car around the front of the house. Clean mats and hose off. Rinse car down. Clean tires and rims. Soap car down. Hand wash all panels. Rinse! Put the Meguiars Ceramic Hybird wax on a still wet car. Let it set on car for 5 minutes. Hose car down to activate the wax. Wipe car down with Microfiber towel till dry. Use detailing spray wipe down whole car again. Wipe down Door jams for water. Put on tire dressing on. Clean outside windows. Look over car inside and out. Put car mats back in. Call owner to pick up car. Go over car with customer. To see if they like your work. Or if they want more attention to a certain area. Sit in chair and drink beer. With money in hand! Shawn
Loved the video, awesome work!! 🙏 Just one question: I noticed that when you were applyin’ the tyre dresser the white pad came out “black”. It also happens to me. Does that mean the tire is still dirty or is it normal? Keep up the good work !
Runique Pro what’s that? like a detailing bussines on call? that’s exactly what i’m wanting to do ..! i actually enjoy and love cleaning cars i keep mine cleaned daily . like why not get paid for it .. plus i’ll be way cheaper than any 200 dollar or 300 detail shop
At last !!! A decent detailing vid without an ANNOYING yank blabbering on for no reason other than the fact that they love the sound of their own voice !!
After watching this and reading some comments, I'm struggling to see why you do wheels/tyres first. Like he does in the vid, treat the pre-rinse and touchless wash over the entire vehicle, then less product can be used specifically for the wheels since they won't be anywhere near as soiled. Am I missing something?
Hi thank you for the wonderful video tutorial! If I may ask, can I apply interchangeably? Since you applied a sealant first before wax? With the exception of P&S beadmaker. As it states that it's a final application of product over all top coats.
Very late to the show and dont expect a response but as someone who has never used pre-contact wash products before I have a question. After spraying on the bug remover and before putting on snow foam do you rinse the bug remover off, or doesnt it matter? Excellent video btw. Thank you for making it, even though it was 4 years ago.
Great video. I just needed to turn the volume down after about three minutes because I was going to hang myself, but apart from that awesome thank you. :)
Nice video! Its interesting to see there are different schools to come to the same goal! Wich is best? Well. Scandinaviance have a different approach, concidering level of dirt and season. The most important is that one feel happy with the result 🙂

This detailing video is very detailed. As an amateur hobbyist detailer, I do skip or combine some of these steps.
I do the pre-wash after the wash with bug and tar remover. I try and use the product sparingly, rather than dousing the whole vehicle in it when only a few spots may need it.

I don’t suffer with bird shit because my car is under a car port, I do how ever get cats licking there ass and leaving hairs all over my boot lid because they are in the shade the bastards.
Time to dump her then and get another g/f ;-)
The dirty bitch!
Seriously. Happened to me last week, spent over an hour cleaning to find it full of literal shit the next day... smh
Great video!!!!!!!!. You are a very thourough detailer. I love the way you went through every step. Ive never heard that song before however I think it is the perfect song for this video. Thank you for sharing. Keep up the great work. God bless
Thank you kindly, glad you enjoyed the video 😊
"never heard that song before.."
and now you'll never EVER forget it
Is snow foam necessary?
“LAAA LUUU LAAA LEYY” --- Holy hell i thought me repeating a song twice back to back was ruining it, but you sir, you just made me think otherwise.
The title of this video should be how to make detailing a car is difficult as possible time-consuming with all kinds of unnecessary processes.
Explain. Since it seems you dont detail cars at all if you think what it shown is unnecessary
I really didn't mean to question your work or process I'm sure what you did was the right thing to do with necessary however if I had a car that nice it would never need such an effort. When people get close to the Finish to check and see if there are scratches in my clear coat I usually bash their face into that surface.
You’re a waste of oxygen😂
@@motube3366 oh I'm so hurt I'm going to have to go to my safe space and play with my stuffed animals now you bully

This detailing video is soo satisfying . Need more videos like dis . Thanks for sharing this to us . As beginners the processes are very easy to understand.

Good on you kid. Keep going.
The claybar are to iron its makes it much more esay to remove the iron :) and 0 swirls :)
The clay bar removes slightly embedded contaminants. Doesn't real do much for getting rid of swirls
This detailing video is soo satisfying 🙈 . Thanks for sharing . Beginners can work on it well .

Excellent and simple process , number of stages thumbs up
After detailing, keep your car in a time capsule, for future preferences.
Well i think its a great video. Ive just bought a load of product so its nice to see which order to use it all in. Haters gonna hate
Always the way with the Internet 😊
Hope you enjoyed your products either way. Thanks for the positive vibe
GORGEOUS paintwork on that car. Looks dripping wet after the wax 😩👌🏼
Colton Key thank you 😊 black certainly is a rewarding colour if you put the effort in.
You did good. I just have one question, why would you do that parked in a muddy parking lot?
4:33 set the dog free
Do you have an interior step by step too? This video was very helpful, thank you!
Step 1 - apply liberal amount of windex
Step 2 - rinse and dry
Finally a detailing video that's relatable on a dirty car, most of these videos feature a car that's as clean as it gets by my standards or either a 360 step 4 day restauration project.
😂 right
Wish I had the inclination to keep my car that clean but the products cost more than mine I will detailing my dad's car as birthday present thanks for the informative video
nice, I vacuumed my brothers ashtray car, maguiars spray clean interior, door jams, sprayed the dirty wheels with fairy liquid then took it to the carwash, job done. looks like new.
You forgot 1 step.....Compounding! The claying only removes residue and “Fallout”! The compounding would further that by removing swirls and small scratches!
Anthony Clay im a beginner was wondering in which step do i do the compound
Thank you so much dude this helped me a lot on detailing my DaDs car cause im only 17 xD
Much love from Algeria 🇩🇿🇩🇿🇩🇿
Glad we could help, good for you getting out and doing productive things at your age. Many in the world don't!
Shawn
Nice! But holy smokes...no car is worth that much work. I dont even give my wife that much attention!
😂😂 this comment certainly made my morning, hope your wife doesn't see it however 🤣🤣 thanks for the comment and view 😉
For real eh 😂😂😂
Good for her. then she has time to fuck a real Man ... the neighbor ;-*
Depending on wife some cars deserves more atention.
Then you aren't the target audience for this video.
Well I was going to get into detailing cars until I watched this video. Respect to you man that was hectic but I am way too lazy for that
Loved the video, awesome work!! 🙏
Just one question: I noticed that when you were applyin’ the tyre dresser the white pad came out “black”. It also happens to me. Does that mean the tire is still dirty or is it normal?
Keep up the good work !
It will always be dirty, rubber absorbs, don’t worry about it just make that shit look black
@@whocares1631 great advice, thanks brother! 🇵🇹

haha please don't let it put you off. One of the most rewarding industries to be involved in. It does not come without effort however.
The tyres are the dirtiest part of the car, and the brushes always tend to flick up brake dust etc
The work is really fascinating. I'm wanting to start a business like this too!
How long does this effect of a detailed car last on an average?
Imagine doing all of this, and it rains.
It’s a detailing not just cleaning🥴 rain doesn’t wash the car as much as detailing does so

Thank so much.. It helps a lot on my paper work presentation, on how to do a proper car washing😊😊😊
Hi thank you for the wonderful video tutorial!
If I may ask, can I apply interchangeably? Since you applied a sealant first before wax?
With the exception of P&S beadmaker. As it states that it's a final application of product over all top coats.
this just goes to show me that I know even less about this than I previously thought I did
My friend told me to use a wire brush to help get the dirt out

Ash Visuals tell your friend he can also use a stanley knife to clean his teeth..

yep the wheels go first untill this vdo, and other useless process.
Did i miss something why didnt you use a tired brush to clean the tire walls you put dressing on a dirty tire
All the experts moaning. Thanks for showing I which order the products are used and how they are applied.
Great video. I just needed to turn the volume down after about three minutes because I was going to hang myself, but apart from that awesome thank you. :)
So basically for the best detail in the city: wash your car 3 times back to back !
The extraness was real af in this video!
Quick deleter AFTER wax? Why?
Removing any product that may have got on the surface.. glass cleaner, trim dressing etc
This was an excellent video!! Love that it's straight to the point
great video. don't worry nobody's ever done a detailing video without the nay sayers commenting lol

Nice video! Its interesting to see there are different schools to come to the same goal! Wich is best? Well. Scandinaviance have a different approach, concidering level of dirt and season. The most important is that one feel happy with the result 🙂
