And just for context for those who don't know, I went Gluten Free to treat my Eosinophilic Esophagitis because when I cut Gluten and Dairy out (it is food trigger based), most of my symptoms subsided. So that was so dope. And it's why I haven't had gluten (or dairy) since 2019.

@@PhilHatesGluten Thank you for the encouragement in this video and for your positive content! I'm 4yrs into being gluten free and while many aspects have gotten way easier (and more delicious!), it has still been a tough thing to adjust to mentally. I feel a tip I would give my past self was to go to therapy, ha! Because she did not know she had a weird relationship with food until going gluten free. 😅

That, instead of like having to make everything I eat go to twist bakery. Everything’s gluten-free there. I can literally anything. And they’re BLTs are incredible ✨✨✨

A toaster oven and some aluminum foil is also a good compromise if you don’t have room for 2 toasters. Plus it’s handy for heating up frozen cauliflower crust pizzas which are surprisingly decent.

💯 % All true. Great video. I flip over everything at the store for the quick glance lighting fast now. My wife and I keep our house Gluten Free and learned to actually cook because of it. Another series of cook books is Instant-Loss all Gluten Free options in the Instant Pot. Thanks for all the humorous Gluten Free Information. Oh and one thing I have learned people you care about will go out of their way to try to include you by making things just for me, definitely can feel loved and cared for.

I have been so in-denial of my gluten-intolerance for so many years, but I was lucky enough to stumble onto your content recently and to see someone thriving and making the best of it on a gluten-free life style is inspiring me to make the leap and really take it seriously once and for all. It's incredible how you've managed to make this all funny and enjoyable somehow lol

There is new evidence showing that cross-contact from toasters is TYPICALLY below 20 ppm, but I still wouldn't blame anyone for not eating from a shared toaster.

Personally, since I had to go wheatless back when subs were virtually non existent, I tell anyone now to learn to make stuff with things that are naturally GF (whole ingredients), and not immediately rely on subs or things with lengthy ingredient lists. It was a royal pain, but I think it made things easier later on.

It really is hard. Had a coworker make me a "going away cake" cause I was transferring to another store and was like "hey what kind of cake do you want?" and I was all "oh it doesn't matter as long as it's GF" to which he responds "oh I can't make it GF and vegan(the person he was dating at the time is vegan so he was trying to accommodate us both) it'll be terrible!" so guess who ended up eating gluten so as to not appear rude? Eyup. We don't talk anymore.
