This Revell 442 went together so well it was a joy to put together! 👍

Very nice. That looks just like an old school hot rod that is being fixed up on a budget for sure. As a kid in the 70s I would see cars like this all the time, good stuff, great times!!! Good job on the build!!!

My older sister's friend had one with a 455 in it! Crazy fast! I test drove once, Many years ago and I lit the tires up in a parking lot! A lot of fun! What a great car. Cool build Tim! A bunch of good tips too! Thanks for the video 😎👍

Great looking build, took me back to my high school days where we had a lot of jacked up hotrods and muscle cars. Mine was a 69 GTO all done up for street racing. Cheers and thanks for the memories.

Very cool build Tim! This brings back a lot of memories for me because my high school hot rod was a gray primered 69 Cutlass. It was jacked up with with Cragar SS’s and we dropped in a 455. Never had the money to get it painted and had to sell it before college. I just ordered my paint to do this kit, but I think I might also break out a 69 kit and do a primer tribute to my old ride.

Turned out good, I built mine when it hit the shelves, loved it, did mine all blue metallic with cragars, raised up in the back, your high school build reminds me of my buddies 69 GTO we built, riding around in primer all summer

Great build! I have heard that these Olds 442 kits go together very easily, and as someone who started the hobby just last year and am still new to all of this, I feel that is important to me. I will definitely be picking up one of these soon, especially since the 442 is one of my favorite muscle cars.

Throttle Power first , Thanks for sharing ! ❤...I graduated High School, Class of '88...I owned and drove a '69 Pontiac LeMans . I was fortunate enough in '06 to come across a '68 LeMans ,that I'm currently restoring back to the road . Health problems and lack of extra money forced me to store the car in 2012 . Now, finally I'm looking forward to cruising again soon 😉 ..Loved the 442's and Buick GS's 😁... Oh yeah , the Pontiac is getting a rebuilt 455 , currently has the original 350-4 , factory duals , Rallye wheels. Solar Red w/Pearl White interior over black carpet , Automatic floor shift console .. PontiacFan4Life ❤

My buddy had a beater '72 Cutlass with a 350 Rocket under the hood. It was ALWAYS fun tooling around in that thing! And yes, it was primer gray as well! This kit is on my stash add list.

What a great and useful video Tim! Thanks for the reference photos of actual chassis, interior and engine bays. The finished model looks great! I like that "work-in-progress" look. A friend of mine wants me to build one of these kits for him and I'll be building one for myself at the same time. I will be using some of your tips during construction. That is dang near how my 72 looked like before i painted it, except it was yellow URO primer and Electric Red in the jams. Air shocks in the back gave it the proper stance, love that car! I just finished my Revell build but made it stock. It is a great kit, everything fit perfectly, all the details are correct, you will wish all kits were this good. You did Oldsmobile justice with the way you built yours, very nice! And earned a sub!

Nice build Tim, looks great! I knew a kid in high school that had a gray primered '69 chevelle that had pretty much the same stance as your build. I remember he was driving down the main drag in town one evening and broke the rear axle. Oh the memories! Lol.

That's how I'm approaching my Stree Machine Group Build entry. A kid in HS, got his first car from a family member (maybe a crazy uncle) and he work in a fast food place, saving his pennies to hop up his car.

Great build Tim! I had a car very similar in HS except it was a 71 Pontiac lemans sport. Very similar look to it.

Love what you did with this Tim! Your weathering on the chassis is superb! Never rode in one but it’s one of my all time dream cars. I did ride in fully restored 69 Trans Am and that I fell head over heels for🤣

Each time I've seen this built I keep saying I'm gonna pick one up. Looks like an awesome kit. Yes, Tim. I've ridden in one.... I owned a '71 and I regret ever selling it. It was a very good car, one of my favs. Nice work on yours.

I do. I sold it to a friend of mine Tommy. Unfortunately Tommy was street racing and a dump truck pulled out of a side road in the oncoming lane of traffic. When he tried to avoid the truck the car he was racing didn't back out and clipped his rear quarter sending him into a spin. He hit the shoulder of the road, hit a fire hydrant and flipped the car several times. Tommy suffered severe injuries, barely survived. Last I knew he was wheelchair bound and pretty much in vegetative state. I regret selling that car because I no longer have it, but mostly because my friend ruined his life in it. Sorry for the sad story, but that's the facts.

Right on Les, what year of Landrover would you like to have the most? I don't know much about them so I don't know how far they go back on years.
@@THROTTLEPOWER hi Tim, they go back to I think just after WWII, but my dream Landrove is either a SERIES III or a Defender, the Defender was after they finished the Series LR, but they now have a later version of the defender, but I am nof certain how good they are plus they look like up- market SUV's, too many gadgets etc, best regards mate,👍👍👍👍

Awesome video not filling on building .not much time on my hobby bench for 2 weeks we been having extreme heat of 119 degrees 117 to 118 tomorrow working on RVs with AC units not working is like being in hell 179 degrees in them trying to get them repaired and back on the road lots of water and Gatorade brakes we are cooking out here

I couldn't find a " GREAT" 71 Oldsmobile 442 for kit bashing.
Let me explain.
I am the proud owner of a mint condision Johan 1970 Cutlass 442.
As I'm sure you already know,...its very rare.
I wanted a 71 442 with a turnable front suspension.
My friend said this version was retooled and offered a lot of extra parts.
It does, but sadly, no turnable front suspension.
However, because your talented hands turned the chassis just the right direction,...I could see that it would be very easy to accomplish this!
I thank you far more than you could ever know!
Now I have a " Great" version of the 71 442 parts car, and can't wait to surprise everyone in my model club!
They don't even know I have a Johan 70 442!
