back in the early 70's I was doing a burnout in my 1969 SC/Rambler Hurst at high school and my tires were so bad that I blew them up. My friend would hold onto the back of the car and I would go through all 4 gears, lit up, smoke arolling out and then the principle would come running......

Seeing Major Pain again in such a long time. I know the ripsaw is crazy fast and powerful. And you can't knock the LB7 Isuzumaxx diesel in them. But If they would just run a blown KB alcohol big block in one it would be so much more fun to watch rip around. If I could spend $500k on a toy, I want it to shake the ground. Otherwise Id just buy a monster truck and run over stuff all day.
Lots of cool creations, would be nice if people understood the definition of RAT ROD, not taking away anything from the skills of people who built these.

Wikipedia defines a rat rod as "a custom car with a deliberately worn-down, unfinished appearance, typically lacking paint, showing rust, and made from cheap or cast-off parts. Most of these cars do not fit that definition! Cheap or Castoff parts!

Look it's a yuppie rat rod real rat rods are built by people too poor to have all the bells and whistles. They do it at home in a small garage or a tarp over a Eve in their front yard. To those folks it's never a fashion statement but a step along the way to building a cool rod.
