    You seem genuinely excited on each and every review. This channel has quickly become the first place I run to begin my borderline obsessive research on a product.

    Hey Sean, thanks for the review. I’m going to cancel my Shot Scope order today. Been over two weeks and I’m still waiting for the rangefinder that’s in stock. Going to order the Blue Tees Max 3 today. Thank you for the promo code

    Just got mine not long ago. Got the chance to try it at the range and on course. I picked up flags really fast. Better than my friend's Bushnell tour V4 and this one even has slope. I'm not sure how long the battery will last. Case is very nice and the magnet is strong. Wish they make this one USB chargeable.

    Great review as usual. I appreciate your approach and execution on these. I am wondering how you would compare the Blue Tees Max 3 compares to the Nikon CoolShot 50i? Since then are in a similar price point as well…Thanks again and keep up the great work!

    • @breakingeighty
      @breakingeighty  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Build quality is a bit better on the Nikon, but the Blue Tees wins on features, and last I checked is considerably less money. The 50i is ok, but I'd prob go Blue Tees over that. If you were upgrading the the Pro ii stabilized, thats a different story. It's display is the clearest I've ever used - downside is it doesnt have a built in magnet.

    Thanks for the review. For me, I am more a fan of GPS units rather than rangefinders (I currently use the SX550) but have considered picking one up just to see how I like it.

    • @breakingeighty
      @breakingeighty  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Totally. People really are kind of one or the other. Most of us don't need the pinpoint accuracy of a rangefinder, and GPS distances are often all you need.

    • @DCN2010

      @@breakingeighty Yes, my game is not as precise as it once was so all I’m looking for is a distance range.

    Based (partially) on this video, I went out and purchased a Blue Tees Series 3 Max rangefinder at Dick's Sporting Goods a couple of days ago.
    Today I returned it.
    Why?
    I tried 10 times to shoot the distance to the flag, and was unable to get a reading on any attempt. I handed the rangefinder over to a golf buddy, who has used a rangefinder for many years, and he was unable to get a reading either. In all instances, the screen turns on...I can see it's in golf mode with slope turned on...and although we tried our best, neither of us could get a single yardage.
    Gonna look at a different brand and see if I get better results.

    Always like your reviews Ive had the precision pro nx7 for years and looking to upgrade for rangefinder under 300 dollars Which would you buy and why the precision pro nx9 or blue tees series 3 max

    • @breakingeighty
      @breakingeighty  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! Both are great. The major difference is the Blue Tees has an ambient display - so it that's something you want, then go with the Blue Tees for sure. The display on the NX9 is slightly larger, but they're pretty comparable. The NX10 is coming out sometime soon as well, and should be an upgrade from NX9.

      I just lost my NX7 Slope- I’m in the same situation. Blue Tees 3 or NX9. 🤔

    • @billymccormick120
      @billymccormick120 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have both of these models and I prefer the NX9. The viewfinder in the BT Series 3 Max uses a triangle that I do not like. It took me a while to figure out that you have to use the TIP of that triangle on the flag to get your distance. This didn't work very well for me when I was over 175 yards out. Everything else on the BT was great! I'm going to upgrade to the NX10 though! Can't wait!

    • @241eric
      @241eric 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@billymccormick120 I played today with the BT3max. Pretty nice device. Quick lock on the flag but a few times I had distances that were way off. Took three clicks to get it right. 🤷🏼‍♂️

    Are you going to do any reviews on budget rangefinders? These premium ones look nice but an actual budget review would be nice. I guess its all relative. if you are used to 600$+ rangefinders.

    Just bought this and played a few rounds. The slope function is terrible and readings is way off (need to get my readings corrected by buddies).

    Just bought this product this week and took it to the course today. I'm not sure if I got a dud unit, but the rangefinder did not find the pins and was consistently shooting the trees behind the green until i got within 125 yards. I was on my home course and know distances and was getting readings anywhere from 25 to 75 yards longer than the actual distance. I had zero confidence in the unit. I wanted to like it but it's getting returned ASAP.

      I completely agree with this assessment. It's extremely difficult to lock-in targets (accurately) with this rangefinder. Notice that accuracy was not mentioned during this review.

      @philliphyman2923 I completely agree. I just purchased mine. Was excited to use it for my round and it was complete waste of time. Couldn’t find ranges over 130 yards. Would sit there trying over and over until I gave up and threw it back in the bag. Had high hopes on this but it failed me

    Is it magnetic

  • @elh93

    If they made one for my alma mater it might convince me to get a rangefinder, but instead they've got for my rival, so won't be getting for the foreseeable future.
    Although, I'd look strongly at Nikon because I love their photography equipment. For now sticking to GPS.

      The blue tees range finders are trash. Purchased one and there were imperfections on the glass. Returned it and went back to my Tour Trek Slope Range Finder. Cheaper, fits in the hand better and simple.
