You are putting your trust in the fact that the expensive one is correct, perhaps the budget laser is more accurate? Regardless at our level we ain’t hitting the exact yardage so there or thereabouts is good enough for me. I go put kettle on now ☕️👍🏼
You should test two bushnells against each other to see if they both measure the same distance that would be interesting if they have a distance difference.
I purchased a cheap one off Amazon that was $69. I’ve had it for 3 years with no problems. One of my friends has the new bushnell $$$. Mine always shows 3-4 yards farther than his. That’s fine for me because most amateur golfers come up short on most shots .
Mine was within a couple of yards of my mates Bushnell , and as for 5 yards , I bet most people dont realise GPS is only accurate to a 5 yard tolerance.
Agreed. I mean, I know that, but you’ve got to get people thinking, how accurate do they actually need to be, if you know the distance with 5 yards, that’s enough
Enjoyed both these temu vlogs Gaz, I would maybe consider one off those range finders after watching this, but probably won't for same reason I gave in last video. The gear from temu does look okay and seems to do the job, though the ole 'you get what you pay for' saying springs to mind...
Guys, come on, stand in the same spot to get the distances. On the one where you got 171 vs 166 it was plain to see one of you was 4 or 5 yards in front of the other. Not even close to the same spot.
Just re watched it, you're correct in that we aren't in the exact same spot, but neither is 5 yards in front, I'd say we're on the same line but Gaz goes about 2/3 yards right of the ball. Not sure it would have made any real difference to the yardage, but worth noting for future tests 👍
@@danielwarren2355 On one par 3 you’re well back of the tee marker and Gaz is near level with it 🤔 hence the larger disparity on that particular one. It’s exactly the same technology, so they should be next to nothing between them. Slope is just calculated and can differ depending on which part of the flag it picks up and also height of the user.
I've bought the same one, it was £32.05 when I got mine, and for the amount of times I use it I think it's brilliant. I couldn't warrant paying hundreds for one so it's ideal for me.
I have this Temu laser range finder, had it for 3 months and so far working well, I have found only a few yards difference between the Temu and some of the top mane brands which my friends have
I got a similar one of Amazon about 5 years ago. Still working fine. Can have trouble locking on to the flag. I use a garmin watch and just use the laser for hazards and 100 yards in. Stumping up £300 for a bushnell would hurt, but don’t dispute their quality.
Very interesting video, thanks for uploading it. I’m new to golf and have only played 5 rounds with my sons and they both use expensive Rangefinders. I have purchased this rangefinder and am looking forward to it arriving and doing our own comparison when on the course ⛳️
Ideal laser for someone who doesn’t want to pay much, the best thing in this video is you are in a mid layer and woolly hat and Dan is in a polo shirt 😂😂, cracking video Gaz
Checked out my TEMU rangefinder vs my sons Bushnell n the differences were slight if at all. The difference in price is dramatic. For someone who plays 2-4x a month the TEMU rangefinder seems to be just fine.
Thanks for the review on this, Gaz. I brought the same one for only £28 from Temu, so far I've just used it on the chipping practice area. I use a GPS watch when playing rounds, but I think I'll try this out against the watch in my rounds from now on and see what it's like.
I like my TEMU range finder. It replaced a $200 pro shop device that had loose lenses, replaceable cr2 batteries that were expensive and no carry case. My TEMU has internal rechargeable battery, magnet to stick on the cart slope mode and magnified which my old device did not do. All for $45 w free shipping.
I bought a no name laser range finder off the internet for £99 about 5 years ago and at the time that was a big purchase for me! But the thing is its worked an absolute treat and has been reliable for all this time. Sure I would LOVED to have had the money for a Bushnell but this was such a good find! Ok, it doesnt find the pin as fast as the Bushnell and is a little harder to use in low light but for a fraction of the price of a Bushnell Id take it all day long :)
@@garymartingolf It was $67 US. I paid extra to get the version with the magnet. Only $55 US if you don’t want the magnet. It’s listed as Fyobyye Slope Laser Golf Rangefinder. 👍
I brought the Wosports h100 about 4 years ago. Was $100 back then and not sure what it is now. I haven’t had any issue, only just replaced the battery last week, granted I’ve had a kid in that time. I have the Garmin S62 and didn’t want to spend loads on a range finder as well and I only use the range finder from 170 yards in really. The only negatives are a poor case and no magnetic strip on it but I’d still 5/5 stars. Might be worth checking out as well to do a review?
Got the same range finder for $48.00. I was purchasing items for Christmas presents and stumbled across $50.00 coupon, but had already had my shopping cart filled with items valued at over 175 or somewhere around there.
Some thoughts.. By my understanding, one of the main things influencing accuracy is the correct alignment of the emitter and the receiver. If they are out of alignment then accuracy suffers. If a rangefinder is knocked or dropped there is a chance that these components will go out of alignment. I suspect the more expensive rangefinders will fare better. Additionally I would ask myself about the quality of the weather proofing on cheaper examples. My Bushnell has got very wet and suffered no ill effects. I have no issues about playing with it in poor weather. Also the quality of the optics. These can effect both accuracy and ease of use. Just my two pence worth.
Very good points! I’m going to give the budget one to our mid handicap go to use over the winter and we might do a update in a few months time to discuss any faults or weaknesses we come across. Great points though 👌🏼
If you work your yardages out on the range with the Temu then there is no problem. You only hit the club for the Temu yardage. If you use the Bushnell you again only hit the club to the yardage the Bushnell gave you. So Temu for me everytime.
If the distances are close, that might be good enough for me. I've never used a rangefinder, so the feel might not matter at all. They're going right now on Temu for US$30; that seems like a reasonable risk to see how I get on with it. Is 5 yards close enough for me? As a 15 HC, I think that's plenty of accuracy for me, far tighter than my usual dispersion front to back.
You are assuming that the Bushnell is always correct. There is a good chance all brands of rangefinders are made in just a couple of factories!!!!! All in China!!

Loft and speed needed on that early greenside chip you said, Gary. And then…. Are you getting short-game lessons from Chris Stratford? 😋 Nice video. Personally, a watch is no substitute for a laser. I’d be lost without my Bushnell (version V1, no slope, but it still does a great job!!)
There’s knowing what to do, and there’s practicing it so that you can execute it, I fail on the latter… 🤣 I agree, and to be honest, I don’t use the slope personally, as I’ve always calculated the a club up or down for slope, and I’m set in my ways 😄

Temu REVASRI lasted about 6-7mths on the first charge now wont take a charge 🗑
Why not just let the same person use them after each other at the same spot 🤦♂️🤷♂️
Lads, take out as many variables as possible. Meaning same person, same spot, same target and supported. A very inaccurate comparison.
You’d buy it if that’s what you’re budget allowed for….
Yeah
I'll have it if you don't want it
Maybe that cheap one is correct and you’re Bushnell is off by a few yards…
How bright to not stand on the same spots when ranging. I bet they both would have given the same distances. Use commonsensen
Why do frozen northerners miss words out. “ In Bunker “ 😂
We don’t know! We don’t speak how we write 😩
Why do southerners not use correct grammer? You asked a question with no question mark 😂
8 handicap my arse 🤣
I really can’t believe you’re acting surprised because it feels cheap ….🤪🤪🤪Duh 🤣🤣🤣🤣
How much would it cost extra for abit of rubber and moulding to the shape that helps you hold it 🤷🏻♂️
Why the hell would you pair of jokers not stand beside each other when you do the measurements. Or one bloke do the measurement from the same spot.
This is useless.
I find it funny that neither of you plays well enough for this to even matter. You will do better to look for the yardage post and play from that.
Here we go, another plastic tour pro troll 😂 alright PRO
Can't rely on reviews from individuals who don't take it serious. Each bone is measuring front a different spot and act surprised that they aren't getting the same measurements. Very poor video!
Not very scientific
Speak English...lol
Why you are aloud to use these golf cheater's is beyond me, golf is about your skill and this means how you perceive distance.
Technology in golf makes the game easier for the less skilled every year. Golf’s not a game for the elite anymore, it’s a business aimed at the masses.
