  • Onto Part 8 of my Dakar Diaries and you will see I am running on empty. Although the Special Stages were shorter, over the deep sand, they were tough going.
Riding with Gareth saved my Dakar, as sometimes, without his strength, I would have not got the bike up. I was physically exhausted from no sleep. A few 'beeps'!
Only one more episode next week, then onto ‪@TTRacesOfficial‬ preparation.
** In some stages, there was more onboard footage and in some none, I had to remember to press record!
I hope my camera skills don't stop you from enjoying these!
Don't forget to ask any questions in the comments below, I will get to them.
A massive thanks to all my personal sponsors and everyone who got involved to get me to ‪@OfficialDakar‬ Rally 2023.

Great work James, it was indeed an honour to meet you and you were so kind to stop by both times and have that chat. Looking forward to see you again next year. Already waiting for next year anxiously. More power to you next year!

True grit and determination! and a real feel for how tough it is….We knew coming from the TT and how well you have done there, you would smash it. Massive congratulations what an achievement✊ 🏍💨

It's taken me 5 weeks to get this far in your videos, how you got round all those miles in the Dakkar in 14 days is beyond mental.

I remember the 'Mr Men' books, you don't look familiar Mr Grumpy! Can you update us on your injury/treatment, or is that covered in subsequent episodes? Love that bike, well done again.

😂😂😂 Only a TT rider would say he doesn't care about getting speeding penalties. That's one of your funniest comments delivered with a straight face. Anyway you did well in the race. Great to hear that you want to attempt it again in 2025.

Absolutely outstanding mate! I don't know how you kept going. Riding those distances day after day with your shoulder injury shows you are one determined tough cookie.❤

Nothing wrong with the combination of ‘Moaning’ along with a focus of personal high expectations and Pure Determination! ‘Although you’re moaning and doing something great’ Despite everything… of fatigue and falls… you’re Still going, heading to that Chequered Flag! Speed Penalties as expected!! RIDE, EAT, SLEEP, REPEAT!! 👊👏🏻⭐️💪🏻😘

Amazing, getting to know the real deal from you on what it is like to ride as a privateer w/o a team behind you. Actually, is it still fun or is it more like "let's get this done and over" - because of the shoulder pain ?

Became a case of just getting it done tbh. But I am missing it abit now!
