I have the X-16 2023 4070 (I love it). Just to clear up some confusion, It's no HDR on this model only on the X16.

I have the 2022 version. I think this is the most powerfull machine under 1.3 kg and really admire what it is capable of

The 2022 version is an even better value. They upgraded the performance for the 2023 version, but at quite a steep cost. Glad you are enjoying it!

@@darellkaisarea1245had a 2022 version. the problem is really serious. It is impossible to play, it is unpleasant to work

Got the 2021 4k model. It's been great but thinking of upgrading (once the budget allows). Hope the fans aren't as noisy. I can't deal with fan noise these days😂. Plus a more responsive screen would be great!

I've found that the Armoury Crate's options for balancing performance, battery life, thermals and fan noise to be really great. The Silent mode is unbelievably quiet!

Where did you buy it? I've been looking for this specific model for so long already! I am in the Philippines. We only have the RTX 3050 version here not the RTX 3060 :(

I ordered from BestBuy in the US. Don't believe they ship internationally, but you might be able to use a shipping service like www.buyandship.ph/

would u recommend the 2022 model over the 2023? cuz i am looking for the 2023 version in my area and gave up for looking to a 2022 model.

From what I understand, the power increase is quite large between the 2022 & 2023 models. It also makes the newer 2023 model relatively "expensive." So if Power is important to you, I would go with the 2023. If you don't need as much performance and either have budget limitations or just prefer not to spend so much, the 2022 version might be for you. From what I hear of people who have the 2022 model, they are quite happy with it.

Would you tell us how many problems with that laptop or what is good

    • @donafied

I've had a few minor issues. The USB A port would not read from time to time, but wasn't sure if it was the devices I attached. For example I have a CF Express/SD card reader that would not work with the USB A cable but works with a USB-C cable. Other devices like a USB mic did not work. It hasn't been too big a deal since I mostly use the USB-C ports and have a USB-C hub that I use. Firmware updates may have fixed it since I'm currently using a Audio Interface with the USB-A port with no problems... but I have not gone back to testing the other gear that weren't working. Another issue is the battery life isn't great even when I disable the RTX GPU. Not a huge deal for me since I'm usually plugged in anyway... but if long battery life is important, this might be a bit too power hungry. Last "problem" is number of ports. I just wish it had one more USB-C port because one of them is being used by the power adapter so it's like just having one USB-C port when plugged in.
The positives have been overwhelming. What I mentioned in the video about what I wanted from this device has proven true so far. I have a ultra portable device that can handle everything I throw at it. I can do my work with both productivity software and CAD & Modeling software. I run DaVinci Resolve and Capture One on it with no issue. And I've recently been enjoying making a portable music production setup that I can easily move around with. It's been my favorite laptop so far.

@@StashiaMass Thanks! That's what I was trying to do... give my experiences in using various devices which eventually led to the X13. Can't stress how much I wanted something more powerful when I had something small & light, and wanted something smaller and lightweight when I had all the power I needed. This really strikes the perfect balance.

Yes, I also appreciated the first 9 min because it took you through the logic behind making the purchase, which a lot of other reviewers online don't do. I always wondered how the Asus 2.0 pen on the Flow x13 would handle tasks like 3d sculpting in Zbrush or Blender or matte painting in Photoshop. Always wanted a ConceptD Ezel 7 too, so that was fun to see. Those are so hard to find and I think that product line is dead so that's a bummer. Anyway, great video and look forward to a possible follow up!

@@scottdpeterstv what most TH-camrs do is talk about all that DURING and after the unboxing. I came to watch the unboxing like the title said. Of course there is a lot to explain and talk about but all that can come during and continue after the unboxing. Just my two cents and also how 90% of other content creators do it.
