  • Time for a little accompaniment down the synodal rabbit hole to discover what libs really mean when they start saying "signs of the times."

Pray for the restoration of the church. You can get to heaven without the Mass but you can’t get to heaven without the faith.

    Parent:
"What do you want to eat if you don't want to even to try your breakfast?"
    Child: wailing, "l don't know!!!"
Parent: "Do you want X? "
    Child "Idk!!! "
    Parent: "Do you want Y?"
    Child: Idk!!!! "
    Etc.
The laity have been infantalised for generations, and now here we are ...insincere hand wringing and spiritual marasmus

This has all been foisted on us since 2020!
Up till then the vast majority of Catholics had never heard of "synodalism" and were concerned with practicing the faith themselves, battling their own sins, contributing to their own parish as they could, raising their kids in the faith, etc... Only a tiny minority raised LGBTI issues, women's ordination, "lay representation" (ie. female power), etc. as pressing concerns.
Then in 2020 the whole world was swept up with preparation for the "Synod on Syndalities". The progressives were well prepared and stole the agenda.
Some of the laity made contributions in good faith, which represented their usual concerns. Many women, sensing that "women's issues", etc. would be on the agenda, contributed that, as women, they were already happy with their role and opportunities in the church. These contributions were ignored as the agenda from the progressives was presented as "the voice" of the laity.
I well recall a letter from a lay Catholic in Australia to our national newspaper - 'I'm too busy with putting food on the table, changing the baby's nappies, etc, for any "journeying"''
Sadly, our bishops went along with this. Just a few brave souls called it out.
The most ridiculous aspect of this?
As you say, at 6:35, we are adopting the Episcoplean approach. We have thirty years of observing how that has turned out for them, and now we are stubbornly going the same way! Utterly reckless and reprehensible.
It all smacks of "elitism", in the name of representing "the people".

According to the German Bishops. because the world has changed, the Catholic Church must strive to keep up those changes and essentially become an imitation of the world. What happened to being an imitation of Christ?
