Thanks for addressing this dear Johnathan! PS: I think most would say the 2004 Athens Olympics Grand Opening in our 'Arena' playlist is a much better homage to ancient Greek-Pan-European culture...Calling this 'new' morbid weird stuff 'culture' is a stretch!

Great analysis. Really explained a lot. Additionally, I think there is an aspect going all the way back to the Tower of Babel. The distinctions between peoples by family and people group was instituted by God to PREVENT one of the greatest evils which ever came to be... the corruption of all flesh as a whole which comes from a unified one-world order. One might say "nationalism" was created by God to keep people separated to prevent the greater evil of absolute power corrupting absolutely. By trying to restore the one-world unity they are attempting to circumvent the nationalistic distinctions God created through language to keep that form of evil at bay.

I think we should remember that all of these people would be welcome at jesus's table. I also believe in fighting evil but if you can't fight evil with a heart full of love and mercy, then in some way you're fighting evil with hate and that won't produce the positive results you're looking for. ❤ The hardest thing to do is stay present in the fight against evil with an open heart and empty mind, trusting God to fill that void, giving him a place to work.

      • To accept God is to admit there is a being in existence we are subject to and must answer to, yet they don't see the other side of the coin where being with God is the most wonderful thing that there can be in all the existence of being. They only see God as some cruel, angry or narcissistic dictator, instead only has a few basic commandments which are in place for our own good, because He wants us to be sharp in mind, healthy and have the best of everything as possible. Of course, when you have a narcissistic world view, it's not surprising that they place that upon God and all else... you put on a red-tinted pair of glasses, EVERYTHING is going to look reddish to you, and you cannot see true colors until they are removed.
      • Sadly, they go after kids, because kids are the most impressionable... you get the kids, then the whole subsequent generation is hijacked, save that parents are doing their jobs, although progressively, there's been that push to steal power/choice from the parents and dictate that kids are no more than little wards of the state. It is ironic that that has become a thing in THIS country of America because "The state" is not the faceless corporation it became in 1878, but a land where the people ARE the government and the persons in office are but appointed to be the collective voice of the people in the various states/regions, but we've traveled a LONG distance from that expression of a Constitutional Republic.

Imagine a sensible Muslim family that planned a family reunion, had snacks and were expecting to see an elegant display of Parisian culture... Imagine they banned this in communist China. These people are so blinded by their hatred of Christ that, as low passions do, they lost from sight EVERYTHING else, which is deep symbolism on its own. Once the Church is raptured, and all who fasted, prayed, and interceded for the lost are gone, this will look like a day in the park. This is just testing those who don't know God, for acceptance, or at the very least, ignoring what it really is. The old saying of, give them an inch, and they will take a mile, comes to mind. Anyone's worst fear of their goals, is likely not as far as they want to go. Remember what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah, it was only a taste of God's coming wrath.

@Fuji_62 yes, you wrote "god" with a little 'g' which is satan, so yes, you're correct (even tho I know what you really meant). how is the one true God evil? He gives life so He's the only one who has the right to take away. He's a holy & just God, & thus sin cannot go unpunished. it's not fair & it's not right. BUT God is also loving & merciful....He became flesh & died a most brutal & AGONIZING death for OUR sins so that we can be saved! how is that evil? He took the punishment for sins of every single human ever, even tho He Himself is completely innocent & perfect & has never once sinned. THAT is the most loving thing someone could do. you're deceived by the devil. the devil wants people to think God is the evil one & he's the victim. couldn't be any more opposite. satan's ONLY agenda is to steal, kill, & destroy. he wants nothing more than your soul to burn in the eternal lake of fire with him. but you don't have to, because of Jesus. just choose Him & be saved.

@Fuji_62oh & if you're saying this cuz "the God of the new testament did a ton of cruel things," that's a typical yet ridiculous response of atheists & God-haters. but it's nonsensical in every way because for one, most if not all haven't even read all the Bible. secondly, there's a good REASON God did what He did. the people of the new testament were SO evil that they had to be smited. they were sacrificing babies to bulls & cows, aka a mimicry of the demons baal & molech. they were slicing babies open, eating them, throwing them into fires completely alive, having orgies, always getting drunk, committing multiple sexually immoral & disgusting things (sodom & gomorrah....the word sodomy comes from that place ffs)...God makes it VERY clear that not only is homosexuality a sin, but it's an abomination. God's words, not mine. & what He says goes, since He created everyone & everything. so yeah, He didn't just "punish innocent people" in the old testament like a ton of you simpletons think.

Including paedophilia. The current child sexual assault statistics testament to our destruction. They are coming for our children and it's heartening to see the number of parents removing their children from the beast system. Our children are not safe - that's clear. It's being fought over them. All under the guise of being "kind" and "inclusive" and ironically "safe". This is where discernment is critical. Many superficial Christians without spiritual awareness - without the Holy Spirit - fall for it. They get to virtue signal a fake morality for their egos.
It's painful to watch. Leaning into faith is the only solution and standing your ground. When they tell you black is white and down is up - you have to be rock solid in your knowledge and belief. It's a challenge to deepen your faith. A call to be a Christian soldier. It can't be faked. It has to be real. They're not getting my soul. That's what they want. That's what they really want. All the rest is just dressing.

As a French person, I must say that I'm happy that you gave this explanation about what happened during that awful ceremony, but there were so many more scary signs through out the whole show. Children mainly were systematically depicted as preys, offerings, victims of some very dark rituals, ( the 3 children disappear in the catacombs for example, one of the men in the last supper threatens to cut the child's throat...)The symbol of the bull in front of the Olympic flag, that was upside down too... the musics were creepy and it was noticeable that it was not natural to feature so much darkness to celebrate a sporting event, was it?? What is very freaky is that all that mess has been paid by our taxes, and we pay sooooo many taxes in France , that is revolting, and most of all it was decided by our head of state, not so surprising when you know who leads the game in France at the moment. I've always felt John Lennon's "Imagine" to be one of the saddest most depressing expressions of hopelessness ever penned.
"imagine there's no heaven; no religion, too; nothing to live or die for..." nothing to believe in outside of yourself, no cause to fight for the freedom and sanctity of other people, or even yourself, no reason to go on in this world of pure depraved hedonism, no way to defend yourself against the desires of others, no purity, no holiness, no goodness, and no afterlife, nothing better to come, no cause to even try to improve and better yourself or separate yourself from the herd, to be different from anyone else in the breakdown of society, no individuality, no identity, _no diversity!_
And hidden in there, the strongest call for people with suicidal thoughts or tendencies to take their own lives in desperation.
Without distinctiveness there can be no unity, only an amorphous homogeneity -- that's not unity, that abandonment of uniqueness leads to a loss of identity. That's what this song espouses hidden under its mask of the opposite, and that's what this counter-cultural movement will lead to if it is allowed to evolve to its logical conclusion: the destruction of culture and thus the dissolution of society. These children are working to bring about "the end times" without having the wisdom to realize it.

    Dear Mr Pageau,
My name is Sean Swart and I am a South African Christian and I would like very much to thank you for the video that you put out on the Olympic Opening and the Last Supper spectacle.
If you will indulge me, I would like to give context as to the reason for the gratitude. These kind of events tend to send shockwaves through the world that cause divided responses, and the church is not immune to it displaying such division. In terms of the strain of my Christianity, I started out having simply heard the gospel as a child, and then dedicated my life to Christ in high school at a rather extreme charismatic church, today I am member of a more midway Pentecostal church, but in myself have realised that I tend to land somewhere between non excessive Pentecostal and open minded Baptist in thinking, with a piqued curiosity on the broader aspects of the international church.
This just explains my theological grasp of reality. But experientially, the story is far more interesting. See, I have experienced same sex attraction for as long as I can recall. I have always in my heart believed it to be against God’s will and against nature, even before I understood what all my feelings meant. It was also taboo in the years of my youth, before the LGBTQ advocacy movement from the States took hold of South Africa after the fall of apartheid in 1994 and the drafting of our incredibly progressive constitution, where very quickly gay rights and marriage was made legal, along with things such as pornography and abortion and more. When I was at school and heard about Jesus, my heart leapt - because I already knew I needed pardon and cleansing, so I ran to Him. But the matter of handling these desires was complex - the desires did not dissipate and I had not the courage to open up to anyone about it. I actually don’t think I would really have trusted help anyway, because people in the church back then just didn’t know how to deal with it. Fast forward my own story - I reached a point in my sin struggle and search for identity where I became hooked on pornography - another scandal I didn’t have the courage to confess. For a few years I battled alone, until circumstance thrust me out the closet and my secret became my broadcast identity. But the inner battle continued. I was spit between the Kingdom of Jesus and the promises of Babylon. After a few failed relationships and the introduction of drugs and the establishment of addiction (chemical and sexual) I completely rebelled against my faith - but not passively. It was a bitter war that erupted and I took a side, against the Creator. I relate so much to the other video you did on Lil Nas X. In a sense - that storyline was my new spiritual worldview and mandate to proclaim.
God, Who is so merciful and wise, let me run the course of my anger and rebellion. He patiently endured my years of wilful blasphemy and inversion of everything good in my life. I vandalised churches, burned bibles, dabbled in occult and tried to codify blasphemy and “subvert the faith of others by spreading my own version of reality”.
BUT GOD, praise His mercy, BUT GOD…
He let the consequence of addiction and HIV catch up with me and wisely stripped all my resources, relationships, health, idols, support structures and excuses away until I was scheduled to enter a frail care facility to await my certain cold death, suffering from early dementia, unable to fight illness. And when I was spiritually and relationally alone, at the bottom, right on the edge of the abyss, just me and judgement… He stepped in. The gospel was shared with me again, I prayed a prayer for forgiveness that was sincere, but without any confidence that He would respond. Then supernaturally, discreetly, but supernaturally in a church service where I was obligated to attend at the shelter where I live, God allowed me back into His Presence - and handed me forgiveness. That turned everything around. Over the course of about three years (the initial turnaround encounter happened in 2014), I realised it was possible to walk away from the sex addiction, the drug addiction, the gay identity. The LORD graciously restored my brain functions, over time. He has graciously allowed me to start healing root issues and form a more Biblically balanced faith with a more robust theology to embrace suffering and bear the weight of my own cross, with access to the sustaining joy of being in relationship with such the gracious Shepherd King and Father that He is.
Now - why am I telling you all this and what on earth has this to do with the Olympics opening? I have been going through a difficult period of self-doubt - feeling like an activist without traction. I believe that the LORD saved me from my particular old life to proclaim a message of freedom in His grace, but I have of late been encountering so much strange and unusual resistance. Almost an apathy from certain parts of the church, when broaching the LGBTQ topic and the fact that there is a massive spiritual war behind the obvious culture war happening throughout the world and now making itself painfully apparent in my home nation. I posted some statements on the Olympics Last Supper Scene and the amount of backlash I received from people close to me, Christian friends, took my breath away. And I started to doubt myself. Am I making all this stuff up? Should I just stop pressing the issue on LGBTQ infiltration of the church? Should I just shut up and go sit in a corner of the church and be a “nice” guy and not rock the boat. It would be so much easier.
Your video on this topic freed me from this recent bout of intense self-critical doubt and self-censorship. I am praying that the LORD will teach me when to say what - how to approach the conversation and also relationships in a more nuanced, Biblically faithful way - I want to learn to be effective and imitate Jesus truly but doing what the Father actually gave me to do. I am learning the boundaries. I also have questions - and concerns about how, when, where…
Your video confirmed to me that there is a symbolic (and therefore spiritual war at work under the surface of things) - that it’s not just my imagination, and that I should speak up for the sake of those who will respond to the Gospel of the Kingdom. I cannot stay silent.
Our president recently signed into law a controversial bill, which could classify the sharing of my testimonies like mine, leaving LGBTQ to follow Christ on His terms, into hatespeech if someone heard or read it and felt offended, punishable with a 5 year prison sentence of a hefty fine. There are a raft of other godless laws coming down the legislative pipeline. This is not only happening in South Africa - it’s happening all over the west.
Yes, I’m very limited in my reach, I am not a wealthy or learned man - I don’t have a vast platform, I do not have great influence. But I love Jesus for saving me from all the anger and hatred and lust and darkness. How can I stay silent? Thank you for reminding me that sometimes there really is a dragon in the dark, an enemy which requires vigilance and courage to face. May the LORD bless and keep you in your efforts to illuminate the path for others and help them see things more clearly as your glorify Jesus King in your work.
    With gratitude,
A fellow follower of Jesus from South Africa,
    Sean Swart

For me, the most disturbing thing was when I saw Charon, the Underworld's ferryman, take the children on his boat and row down the entire Seine River, leading all the boats carrying athletes from all the countries of the world behind him, "guiding" them to "the other side." It was also seeing that the Olympic torch looked like a m1ss1le and the big torch they lit at the end looked like an at0m1c b0mb. The whole drag(on)-queen part, including the carnivalesque, 0rg1ast1c and cann1bal1st1c Last Supper, with that big Papa Smurf in the center, seem v0m1t1ve to me but they don't disturb me as much as Charon's part. Equally sickening and also v10lent is Marie Antoinette's part. The minions stealing the Mona Lisa is something I still can't figure out but it makes me laugh, it's absurd. And finally, super disturbing that the Horseman of Death wears the Olympic flag as his cape and places it upside down as a sign that "the territory was taken." There are no words for this horrendous thing, it fills me with deep sadness but I know that God will triumph in the end. Sexuality i would argue is far more psychological and can’t as easily be articulated if you asked a kid what’s wrong with it. It can have an effect on them that they simply cannot understand. So all the more reason to shelter our kids from such smut, so they can choose to look at it or not when they are mature enough to comprehend it. Fact of the matter is that over half of the things that the true child of God said that were later attributed erroneously as the words of Jesus were allusions to that one true name the heavens declare, and the creator of the entire universe is who is hated for Jesus' names sake. You couldn't be further away from the creator than to blaspheme the name the heavens declare is, was, and always shall be the verb speak in Sumerian before there was Egypt than to go a-whoring in the name of a thief who sits in every church replacing the name the heavens declare as the word made flesh. Do you think you are righteous while refusing to acknowledge who created what? That is the fundamental foundation of a true religion: ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF THE CREATOR, which is in essence, though hijacked by those who refuse to re pen it, what the breaking of the shewbread or holy communion is all about: Returning to the creator what rightly belongs to the creator in the name the heavens declare is that of the creator.

If you draw the lines from the semicircle above Jesus to 7 wooden beams of the cealing it creates a visual effect of a crown. It can't be seen but your mind still creates it. The chick had a similar crown with 7 beams. Also it does look like a halo. In the Apollo painting, it's a glow, the sign of glory, not a halo. In Orthodoxy the cross in the halo belongs to Jesus only. The chick had vertical and horizontal lines in the crown. It's a blashemy on so many levels. If they knew what they were doing, it's a full mode demonic activity.

Why the surprise? The national day, for the French Republic, is Bastille Day which commenorates the beginning of the most heinous and violent anti-Christian years in French history. The opening ceremony even had a skit of France's Catholic queen being decapitated as if that were entertainment.

@user-bf3pc2qd9s The French might argue it was because she was Austrian. But the French revolution stressed the rights of men, not of women. In practice, it meant everyone had the right to be guillotined The king was also beheaded and they didn't parody that. There was definitely misogyny involved.

What was witnessed at the Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony was a reenactment of a French Revolution "Festival of Reason", which was spawned from the "Cult of Reason" in 1793. Although the cult was considered atheistic, it was also extremely pagan. This festival was described (at the time) to be a "Lurid, licentious affair of scandalous depravities". The "Cult of Reason" renamed the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, the "Temple of Reason" and used it for its ceremonies which included the worship of a "Goddess of Reason". Other Catholic cathedrals, basilicas and churches throughout France (in 1793-4) were also turned into Temples of Reason. Major parts of the festival involved mocking Roman Catholicism, but other sects of Christianity were also mocked.

What is going on with our Olympic games is not surprising given the state of Western Culture. The fact that (to my knowledge) not one country, team, nor even individual walked away and refused to participate in the games themselves, THAT for me is a the most telling. The idea that one would sacrifice for a principle that transcends your immediate rewards is just not on the table for us as a civilization it seems. We have hand ringing, we have a lot of apologists talking about how sad it is and how MANY sacrifices the individuals who have trained SO hard for the Olympics have made, yet is seems that walking away from the disgusting travesty that the Olympics has become, that is not on the table?. A society that can't sacrifce, even for the sake of the future of their own children doesn't have much left to commend it. I truly fear for civilization. In many respects the Olympic games opening ceremony was merely a mirror, reflecting back to us what we have as a culture have become., What we as a culture are WILLING to accept, even particupate in for a gold medal (or should I say, 40 pieces of silver). Thank God (and I DO mean Thank God) for our modern day prophets, of which Jonathan is one. If we are ever to maneovor through these dark times, it will be thanks to them.
