Some of them are still graphically impressive to this day!

Darkwatch was dope. None of my friends as a kid knew what I was talking about when we would talk about what we were playing. And I'd go into detail about cowboy vampires and they thought I was making it up.
Wish we could get a HD remaster!

Shadow of Rome has to be among the most underrated games I've ever played. How has it not got a remastered release yet, I'll never know. Capcom in the 2000's was on fire tbh.

Shadow of Rome wasn't a huge seller and a remaster wouldn't sell either. That's why it hasn't gotten a remaster but you already knew that I imagine.

@@thatvideogamesshow , hey, since you mentioned Eternal Poison, as well as the Disgaea franchise, the people that made the Disgaea games also have a good SRPG that is not mentioned nearly enough that is kind of a spin-off of that game franchise that is also worth your time and it is called La Pucelle: Tactics.

I'm still confused why TH-cam's algorithm won't give this channel a favor. The contents are always top notch, not gonna lie but the narrative quality is better than ¾ of videos I've watched

I remember having promotional stickers from Rygar, on my old wardrobe before i moved, that i got with a gaming magazine in the 2000's, that game looked insane on the PS2, i never actually knew if it came out, as it seemingly got buried under other releases, what a great video, thanks again!

The weird thing about Rygar is in that in the original game, Rygar is the bad guy! The final boss! The main character is just called the "hero". When the game got brought over to the west they got the Japanese katakana transliterated as "Ligar", not realized that Ligar == Rygar, so the Americans decided that "Rygar" must be referring to the hero. =P
I have no idea how this fits into the PS2 game as I've never played it.
Happy to see Rygar on the list. My recommendation to the list would be: Castlevania: Curse of Darkness for action, Radiata Stories for RPG, and Klonoa 2 for platformer.

One of your best videos to date, great recommendations, I remember shadow of rome on my dads ps2 when I was like 12-14 playing it after school, that and monster hunter or jade cocoon

Finally some recognition for shadow of rome the first playstation 2 game I ever played! I remember having so much fun in the arena cutting limb off the people and then throwing it to them😂😂
So sad it never got a sequel or a remake
If I remember correctly the sequel of this game eventually became Dead Rising.
Agreed, one part used to annoy me In The stealth part as it took me forever to get passed but d3ffo an overlooked game.
Your actually covering shadow of Rome which is one of my favorite Capcom games ever and the precursor to Dead rising. You sir just got a new subscriber.

Rygar was one of my first games on the PS2 back when budget was still limited and remember replaying again and again but never really getting bored with it 😁

Couple of my fav lesser known ps2 games The Sword of Etheria, cool action game with a fun juggling combo mechanic, Demon Chaos which was Dynasty warriors like but enemies were weaker and it had loads more to

Shadow of Rome to this day is still one of my all time favourites, really good story and the perfect mix of action and stealth game play and those amazing arena battles! I'm gunna go back and play it again haha. Capcom we need a re release or sequel!

I'm 27 and still play evil zone. Loved that game since I was 7, gonna keep playing till the day I die most likely.

You should have mentioned that in darkwatch you get to pick the weapons you start with at the beginning of missions and it's 2 player
I'm glad that thanks to piracy it is possible to play all of these gems without overpaying for ps2 games on ebay

Shadow of Rome is one of the most beloved adventures for some friends and myself. Still playing it today. Really underrated. One of the main reasons why I like capcom so much. A great title for the PS2!

Ghost Hunter's concept reminds me a bit of Sakura Card Captor for some reason.
I loved the western game called "Gun" for the Ps2. Plus, Shadow of Destiny was amazing as well and never really got the recognition it deserved. So much fun.

I remember Shadow of Rome was an in-game ad in one of the Onimushe games. They are made by the same studio within Capcom

Shadow of Rome is still one of my favorites. I hate on the shelf next to me right now. The sneak missions were so much fun.

I think it's funny that for Onimusha Blade Warriors, you have video of none of the Onimusha characters, but you do have the secret character Mega Man Zero, which I love.
A PS2 game that never got the attention it deserved was Dai Senryaku VII. Along with Romance of the Three Kingdoms, it's one of the best, most in depth strategy games on the PS2.

Finally shadow of Rome getting some loves underrated capcom game no one’s seem to talk about. I still remember buy this game for $7 bucks at Circuit city and a highly recommended ps2 game 👍

PS2 had so many games that you can talk about Forgotten games forever on it. Some hidden gems are so rare, one of which Steambot Chronicles, I'm glad to be an owner of.

Mad Maestro! was a rhythm game that used, yup, classical music. And the final, final concert, challenged you to conduct EVERY. SINGLE. SONG. in the game, without a single failure. It takes about an hour and a half.
My dad wasn't really a fan of either video games, or classical music, but he did watch me run through the entire thing. He dozed off partway through, but once he woke up, he did say he liked what he saw.
It's one of the last good memories I have of him. He died of cancer a few years later. 😢
Eternal Poison looks great, reminds me of Eternal Eyes on ps1.

Pretty sure the music during Fatal Fury section is from Evil Zone, which is another amazing game, PS1 though
Dual Hearts and Robot Alchemic Drive would have been solid additions to this list.

I only got some of them I really enjoyed Onimusha Blade, as for action or hack and slash game I played mostly God Hand and Warriors Series that include Gundam.
There's a lot of quality in this video, Garou probably being the best game among the many gems you proposed.
Big fan of Onimusha Blade Warriors and Ys VI! My friend and I used to played Blade Warriors all the time. And funnily enough, he was always Mega Man and I was always Zero lol!!
I got the Ghost Busters game only for it's awesome graphics with progressive scan enabled.
I played the top 3 and never heard of the rest. Rygar was out on the Wii a few years later as well.
The PS2 Era will always be my SNK Timeline.
From Kof to Metal Slug i always had a great Time with these Games.
Altough i could play Garou the first Time it was released on XBox 360 cause the PS2 Version never reached the PAL Region.
