Yeah it's what makes the game worth playing, to be rewarded with Hilarious Goofy fun is the best reward, especially when the difficulty is concerned.
I never got to play it... wanted to buy it now, but man has it spiked in price :O

Ah yes, Urban Reign! Few years ago I went on one of my two yearly visits to my longtime friend in Wales and we spent a whole day playing through and beating the entirety of Urban Reign. Taking turns doing each level or when we failed a mission. It’s one of my favourite gaming experiences to date, even though mission 98 was complete BS! 🤣 Anyway, great video! 👍
You two can play together too and beat that 98th stage together. There is a code that you can apply to control the other character via 2nd controller. If you know this already then my bad.

I played so much state of emergency 2, absolutely love it.
Conflict Desert Storm really shines when you play it as multiplayer. You and three friends working your way through those games is a fantastic experience. There's also Conflict Vietnam and Conflict Global Terror that each improve upon the last. Sadly, it isn't until Global Terror that they included a good system link option that lets everyone get their own screen.
Side note they are also available on the GCN and Xbox.
12:59 God Hand 🤘🏻 Great game and challenging too. Love the crazy story and interesting weird bosses. The US version of this is very expensive. Instead I got the MUCH cheaper Japanese version. The JP version has full English voice and a mix of English and Japanese text for the item shop. I managed to finish the game fully without any issues regarding language. Mind you I cant speak any Japanese.
Such a solid game! Wish we could get a remaster!

The least I want is a PS2 classic. I've completed both Urban Reign & God Hand twice at the local rental back in the day. But I want that again, along with MK Shaolin Monks, Black & many others.

God hand is one of the best Beat them up who I've played on my life! I really recommanded even if it's expensive today. :/

Evergrace, man. One of the first PS2 games I ever played along DW2. I'd love it if FromSoftware were to make a small-scale remake of it.
I recommend Evergrace 2 then. Also known as Forever Kingdom. Better than the original in every way.

God Hand was awesome and very funny. But Urban Reign has a special place in my heart. It's the kind of game that you never get tired of playing.
Theres a childhood game pretty sure only for ps2 that i played a long time ago but can’t remember the name?
Details: A badass very serious male character white long hair, black armor and you could choose to have a sidekick to help you on your journey. the game is similar like dark souls and no its not the Witcher or devil may cry.
I thought the juggle system and wall splats in Urban Reign looked a LOT like Tekken, even the animation of punches and kicks. Punches looked like Steve Fox.
Then it said NAMCO. No wonder. 😅

I used to play Urban Reign as a warmup for home workouts. Seriously - I'd play a few missions, and it would get me so psyched up I was ready to start doing strength training and drillwork.

No no NO NO NO!!!!!
NOT Devil Kings. Do NOT play it......unless you love butchered censored westernized versions for some reason. Play the original Sengoku Basara instead. It would be in japanese, yes. But you would get the full experience as it was meant to be.

Thankfully they stopped that (as they should because games need to stay original) and there's Sengoku Basara 3 in US on PS3 which is nice.
@@Vik1919 They need to stay original, and i absolutely agree (i hate censorship of any from) but censorship (as a whole) is still a thing. Playstation is the king regarding that, especially ever since California. Or even Capcom these days.
But regarding SB, even playing them in japanese, there isnt much of a problem because Musou Games dont have too much to them actually.
I have every single SB game released to date (SB1; 2; 2 Heroes; 3; 3 Utage; 4; 4 Sumeragi; Chronicle Heroes; Battle Heroes; Yukimura-Den and X, also have watched every Anime), i've played and beat them all. And seriously, there is barely a significant language barrier. And regarding the story, there are FAQs or summaries online for that.
Oh don't worry. I still have Rumble Roses, Urban Reign, and God Hand, Sengoku Basara (or Devil Kings) and Sengoku Basara 2 even Capcom vs SNK 2 😁
Capcom vs SNK 2 is such a good game on the GCN. The GCN version, Capcom vs SNK 2: EO, allowed the player to use the C-stick as a shortcut to do special moves and even finishers. It made the game welcoming to new players who weren't great at fighting games to be able to play with their friends without having to be great at the game and inputs.
Nice reflection effect on the cars in Shox.
It's very good but a little exaggerated

Evergrace is a dumpster fire of a game. Your magic and skills are tied to your armor, which has degradation mechanics. While that might not seem so bad until you realize that every step you take breaks your boots HP by 1. Literally just walking to find new boots will cost you your current boots. And if you break your boots you'll walk barefoot which then drains your health. And let's not forget the magic "puzzles", there's a fire right? ok so the water ability should put out the fire, right? NOPE. Wrong answer. One of only a few games i've ever ripped out of the system and thrown it into a wall because it was SO BAD.

Urban Reign is 50% Tekken, 50% Pro Wrestling smushed into a beat em' up. My only complaint is I don't like the arena style level design. I would have preferred a more traditional level structure.
Capcom vs. SNK 2, 20th Anniverssary - Master Piece nothing less than that.

Sengoku Basara 2 on ps2 was my childhood. I spent so much time on that game to max my characters and unlock all of their skills and weapons.

My first punk-rock band back in 2005 was called State of Emergency in honor to that game
Urban Reign is also Tekken Force (the beat em up mode in tekken 3,4, and differently named in 6) on a slightly more simplified but still deep level. Simplified control wise, but deep with how there are different mechanics as mentioned and ways to make pretty awesome combos. It's also tekken force, or just basically tekken not just because of the inclusion of Marshall Law and Paul Phoenix, but because parts of move sets of existing characters like Jin Kazama, King, Hwoarang, Bruce Irvin, and more are applied to the many unlockable characters in the game. So, you are indeed getting Tekken the beat em up (with a hidden 2 player co-op cheat as well)

Awwww, I remember my deception when I tried devil kings out ....you see, I played Sengoku basada in Japanese, so I noticed all those cuts just because is was "too Japanese to sell"...

Its funny look back at Rockstars releases almost all could be seen as testing grounds to perfect a gameplay element before incorporating it into gta. Example they perfect street racing in Midnight club then do GTA3. They do State of Emergency and play with allies and crowds introduce elements of that into vice city and san andreas
Yep i was blown away by rumble roses and they made it even better on 360. Definitely a GEM. The girls in the game sure, they're bangable but nothing really redeemable they're pretty busted looking.

God Hand is truly the best beat 'em up game and one of the best PS2 has to offer. It's challenging, fun, cool and has humour. The bosses are great as well. It's one of a kind.

I loved Rumble Roses. I have the game on the ps2 and 360. I was way into wrestling games back then. I do miss fun arcade racing games. God Hand was another great game I still have.
I have never forgotten Gdhand, Its in my PS2 collection and top 5 PS2 games for me, IGN = Ignorant .

Man, I love Rumble Roses. I used to play it with friends and we laughed at the sheer absurdity and cheesyness of the story mode, the challenges, the characters, etc.
I remember the first Summoner game released as a launch game. I got very far but somehow got stuck and couldn't finish it. Something to do with having low health with no way to increase it at that point in the game. I intend to go back to it.

The FGC considers it one of the greatest fighting games of all time and is still asking for a CvS3 to this day.

Devil Kings is forgotten because the localization is really bad than the original Japanese itself "Basara" series

As someone who played Devil Kings, I can say with all certainty that it' not even a Gem, not alone a hidden one, It's not something I would recommend unless there is nothing else to play on the PS2 which isn't the case and also CVS2 is not hidden, its a game most fighting game fans already know exist, No way a fighting game fan would have a PS2 without it
It's not a "fighting" (of course it includes fighting, don't take it literally) game, it's a Warriors game. A whole different genre. Although it's not a gem because it was changed when localised to West. Should have kept it original like most games are.
I think PS2 was the last era of good racing games, I haven't been interested in racing games ever since
