Just tried it and it's amazing. I used the spray but would prefer the mousse. That being said, I slept in it then I wore a white shirt the next day without showering it off. I worked out and was dripping sweat in the white shirt and there was zero transfer. Winner!
I’ve heard that the drops are best performing for the face and neck! Since most people already use a moisturizer for skincare reasons, adding some drops to your face lotion can help that develop and look more natural since it’s mixed. You can use it for your body but you’ll go through the product quickly. Hope that helps!
I used the mouse and it was AMAZING! I normally use the Jergens lotion, but could not stand the smell and streaky results. The mouse applied perfectly, dried quickly, and gave me such an even, natural tan. Great review!
@@jxss2919 sorry this is late! But you always should wash self tanner off and most people don't leave it on for more than 8 hours before washing it off
I’m buying tanologist just based on your videos! You explain everything so well and go over literally every detail! I currently use b. tan which is great but it does leave me fairly sticky and I too just want to go on about my business during the day without feeling nasty 🥴 no shade towards b. tan but I’m always looking to try something new!
Tried it last night... it is wonderful!!! Not much scent, dries fast and clear so not as messy. I exfoliated my whole body and have not one patch of orange, elbows and knees are beautiful. I love the shade, not too red, not too green, not orange. Best I've ever used. And, I put it on my face, I was so worried about that but it looks so good. I put a very thin coat and made sure I rubbed into my hairline a little. Thanks for reviewing.
Did you use a barrier cream on your hands, feet, knees and elbows? And how do you apply the barrier cream? All over your feet and hands, and do you rub it in? She also mentioned that she avoids putting the mouse on her hands, elbows and knees. Well wouldn’t that leave those areas untanned? And how do you do your ears? Thanks in advance.
For the tanning water, I found that if you get a continuous spray mist bottle off of Amazon and put the water in that. spray it, you don't even have to rub it in. It is such a fine mist and it lays beautifully on the skin and it is so fast and so easy and it works!!
Yeah I’m the same. Like, who wants to gradually be tan? I want to be tan todaaaay. I’m so glad I found this. I’ve been buying loving tan for a couple years and I’m just so tired of paying that price. Bought the tanologist mouse today and excited to try it tomorrow! ☺️
@@jessie330 It went well and I’ve repurchased since however, loving tans color can’t be beat in my honest opinion. I actually still use loving tan on my arms, legs, and feet because i think it applies a bit easier than tanologist. But I will for sure use the tanologist for my underarms and areas that tend to get sweaty, it has no odor and the loving tan has that smell she was talking about. So I use both most of the time. Lol For the winter I’ll probably just use Tanologist because it’s so cheat compared to loving tan.
The drops are best used for the face, neck, and chest. I use the drops on my face and they are amazing! I would recommend you do a video of the Tanologist Face and Body drops on just your face and neck to show how amazing great they are❤️
I love, loving tan, but I get the same blotchy patches on my arms and my inner thighs. I just bought the tanologist mousse today, just to save money and you definitely gave me hope! Great review. Thank you!
Thank you for this video!! Im a rookie self tanner and i bought the mouse and love it. What would you do if you were traveling to a beach vacation for 8 days? if the tanner last 5-6 days would you layer it on mid trip or would you have to scrub it all off and reapply? Im stressed about it haha! any tips would help! ive been thinking about doing the mousse the night before we leave an bring a gradual sel tan lotion like lux unfiltered. im not sure how it would apply over it though. yikes!
The drops I solely use for my face. I add 14 drops into my jar of moisturizer that I use on my face which is Cerave. Only for my face. I use the dark tanologist mouse on my body with a mit.
You are so knowledgeable and I am now such a big fan of yours !! Thank you for all your amazing videos about self-tanning!! I'm a newbie!! I love how the Tanologist mouse developed on my upper body (left on for a total of 8 hrs and reapplied at about 4 hours) but my legs (especially my lower legs) just didn't develop as well. How do you feel about using another application on day 2? How many days in a row do you think you can use this without getting too spotchy?
With the Tanologist water when you say you do 2 applications to get the color you want, when do you do the second application? Do you use this on your face?
I love the Tanologist ultra dark or extra dark with a white bottle and purple cap. I ordered mine from Ulta. I LOVE it!!! 😍 And it has a color guide that still doesn't transfer to everything. Maybe that one would be dark enough without extra layers.
Abbey When you say that you avoid putting the tanning mouse on your knees and elbows, and I think you said hands and feet, wouldn’t that leave those areas untanned? Do I put barrier cream on if I am using the tanique mouse, and if so, how much? Do I put it on just in between my fingers and on palms of my hands, or do I put it all over my hands and rub it in? I hope you see this soon, because I am going on a cruise soon.
Unfortunately there is a lingering smell. Like most tanners. I have showered twice since applying and I still smell it. Also the “ light “ once is not that light. And I am a little orange. If you mess up it won’t come off with rubbing alcohol.
YES, whenever I use the loving tan....and rinse/wash it off the next morning..... I feel like I can STILL smell the self tanner and I get so worried other people smell it on me when I’m at work 😭😂👀 Also, I notice a few days after applying it....it doesn’t fade the best on my arms just like u pointed out! Good to know it’s not just me 😩
I’ve done both! I prefer not to sleep in self tanner if I can avoid it because I feel like they all end up staining my sheets a little, but sometimes I have to sleep in it to save time!

I don't love their normal mousse or lotions they are a bit orange to me also the ten minute tan is a bear to blend in. Please review the Phenomenal mousse, the new elixir and the clear options. Since you love Tanologist I am curious to see how you like the clear mousse by Vita Liberata. If you layer up the Phenomal mousse for two or three days in a row it gets darker and last for two weeks. At least it did on me in Vegas swimming everyday.
I use Jason's vitamin E creme, I put half the bottle of drops into the tub of creme, it did not streak, no patchy areas, and was building day by day. I also had a bad experience with my hands turning awful orange and I scrubbed them with bleach.
Which one do you get the most uses out of?? I’m also 5’10 so a lot of self tanner doesn’t last as long. And btw thanks for this video it’s really helpful and I like how you go into detail on every product!!
Hi! I just bought the mousse! I know you mentioned having to apply 2 layers. I'm also 5'10", so I was wondering how many uses/applications do you think you get from a bottle of mousse? Thanks!
I just got the light shade for the mist and I just did the first application. Once I wash it off do you know if applying it the next day will make it darker? Or should I purchase the darker shade and use that?
Love your channel. Where did you find those products (e.g., the mousse) at that price point? Amazon charges 2 times what you mentioned. Also, what "shade" do you use? There are like at least three, light, medium, dark.
Do you think the water mist tan could be good for a light mist over the face to get color or would it be too intense. I used the St. Tropez tanning water (for face) and it was great but not sure how you thought this product would do with that technique.
Your eyes are so pretty! Are they natural or are you wearing colored contacts?? I have blue eyes myself and i was thinking of getting contracts so they “pop” more
I could be wrong but it looks like she is wearing blue eyeliner, at least on the bottom. Blue eyeliner really makes blue eyes pop so I would definitely try that
Thank you so much for this video! Not sure if you’ll see my comment but I’d like to know how it turned out on your feet! The first time I used the mousse my toes were fairly orange.
I know the tan mitt is best. I’m having trouble finding one. Can you tell me where you got yours or do you think it would be ok to apply without. I bought this about 2 weeks ago and want to try it.
I bought St.Tropez Mitt from Ulta and it was recommended by the sales associate as the best product for application and it was $7.99. I just used it this morning for the first time with Tantologist foam and it was very easy. Without a mitt, your palm turns orange.
So for some reason I decided to apply my regular lotion first before the self tanner it’s self! My skin is now very splotchy lol how do I get it off? Should I use my exfoliated? Or should I reapply over what I already did? Thank you!!!! Trish

Great review. You are so pretty. Tanologist has an extra dark mousse in Ulta now. I have never self tanned in my life but that sounds like a good one. I would hate the mess :)
A tip I learned the hard way... don't spray while on carpet! It didn't stain my carpet, it stained my feet and I couldn't figure it out until the next time I sprayed. Haha! I used lotion on the top of my foot to do the barrier but not on the bottom of my feet. It was hysterical and not sure it was worth not missing a minute of the movie!
Ulta has the same by one get one 40%percent off in store as well...went in to ask for a self Tanner that would last through swimming and the customer rep said none are:( I got the gradual drops and the tan water so excited and exfoliate and get this orange Jergins natural glow off me lol they gave me a free sampled size foam tan called phenomenal gonna try to contour with that!
Lmao! I do the same thing by thinking of salsa to determine mild and medium/moderate 😂 where have you been my whole life! You're straight to the point and very informative 👌
I know this is an older video, but ctossing my finger's I can get an answer. I like everything I see so far but wondering if anyone has had issues with it turning you orange? Ive had so many do that to me amd Im hoping this is different.
If we use the tans without a colour guide and go out whole it develops, does the tan still develop when we sweat a bit. Obviously a 10km run would have a negitive effect. But if we just Cary out daily tasks but it is summer and hot. I am wearing a tan now and sleeping in it, I sleep on a camper mattress in the loungeroom the night I do my tan lol. So much mess
This is one of those situations that being barely 5 foot tall has its advantages. There aren't to many so I'll take it when I can get it. I'm able to get like 3 to 4 more tans out of a bottle then any of my friends. I'm glad I'm able to save a good penny just bc I'm freaking short. Jeans shopping is a completely different story though. When you have to get the short length of jeans taken up almost an inch just... suuucks!
Just tried it and it's amazing. I used the spray but would prefer the mousse. That being said, I slept in it then I wore a white shirt the next day without showering it off. I worked out and was dripping sweat in the white shirt and there was zero transfer. Winner!
Why didn't you wash after? You're supposed to, it shouldn't change the depth unless you really scrub fyi
Yeah you gotta rinse off first no matter what 🤮 the feel, the smell...and then shower when home from the gym.

I woke up this morning and my upper body is pretty tan now, except my legs aren’t tan at all, which is super weird considering i did my entire body.
I just got this a Walmart I like trying new stuff I like the clear things not the dark streaky. Do I have to shower 4 hours after this can I wait till tomarrow more than 12 hours does it matter ?
Great review. You are so pretty. Tanologist has an extra dark mousse in Ulta now. I have never self tanned in my life but that sounds like a good one. I would hate the mess :)
Aw thank you so much ♥️
Do clear tans stain your pores black cos that happens to me with colour guard and it’s nasty pls help!
I don’t experience that!
Can you switch the lids and turn the water into a mouse?
I don’t think you’re supposed to rinse the mousse! That’s what makes it the winner for me! ❤
Would you say the tanning water gets patchy too?
A tip I learned the hard way... don't spray while on carpet! It didn't stain my carpet, it stained my feet and I couldn't figure it out until the next time I sprayed. Haha! I used lotion on the top of my foot to do the barrier but not on the bottom of my feet. It was hysterical and not sure it was worth not missing a minute of the movie!
And to add, I love the Tanologist products and I thank you for introducing them to me!
😂 great tip! I just spray them in my bathroom because I am mess-prone haha. And yay! So glad you love tanologist
Thanks for sharing. I bought some prior to using it. I should have researched this first but I am happy that you love this. Have a great day!
Maybe I missed this but does she mention how long she leaves on the mousse?
This is one of those situations that being barely 5 foot tall has its advantages. There aren't to many so I'll take it when I can get it. I'm able to get like 3 to 4 more tans out of a bottle then any of my friends. I'm glad I'm able to save a good penny just bc I'm freaking short. Jeans shopping is a completely different story though. When you have to get the short length of jeans taken up almost an inch just... suuucks!
Does this make you break out? Especially on your face?
What I do is use the drop for my face and the others for my body
I hate to say it but honestly, il makiage has been hands down my holy grail self Tanner. It is a mousse, only downfall is how much it costs...
do you really need to shower after applying the water like it says to on the bottle?
I've noticed that the tanologist water spray keeps on developing even after you take a shower
Your makeup looks beautiful
