  • In this video we take the Wolfe Ridge Pro 28C out of the woodyard to do some mobile splitting at a customer's location. I also provide a follow up on the HISEA boots I’ve been wearing. If you are interested in ordering boots go to HISEA.com and use discount code oldguy for 15% off.

Thanks for watching Tony. If you have a commercial splitter and a helper it can definitely be profitable. I hadn’t considered it before this customer asked, but I will promote it now.

A few years ago, I split for a neighbor on shares. One load for him, one load for me. I took home three pickup loads of wood. I've often wondered since then if there was a market that way too.

great video. I've thought about offering a splitting service but i wouldn't have a clue on what to do it for. plus, i'm probably slower than most....lol. Jose is a great helper. Hes great to have around. I watched your last video with the opening and review of the HISEA boots. Based on your impression, i bought a pair of steel toes for when im working with wood. They arrived in a couple of days. Like you, i have a wide foot and sometimes cant even get my foot into a boot. These went on easily and were certainly wide enough. They're a good looking, well made boot. The only problem i noticed was that they pinched a little up above the ankle but that subsided as i wore them and once fully broke in, i'm sure they will be fine. For the price, and the lifetime warranty, you cant go wrong. Thanks for posting.

6s in and you've already made a mistake Dick.
