    Another great demo Bob! I really like how tight and compact the 35 HO is and how the sorting tray stores on the machine out of the way when not being used! Well done WR👍🏻👍🏻

      Thanks Todd! Everything has a place on this machine, it's well designed for sure.

    Don't let comments bother you folks. You've shown several hard to split pieces, most recently ( other than this video ) with the vertical splitters splitting through knots. The other manufacturers haven't done any harder stuff on a regular basis either. What I think is important is splitting in warmer weather. I haven't done a test with my splitter but splitting by hand most of my life when wood is frozen is a piece of cake to hand split. It explodes open. I know the other manufacturers have done a fair amount of winter time splitting as well. Maybe not because of that but it could be on purpose to give a marketing boost on what they want to sell but who knows. I do know one thing.... Your wedges seem a lot lighter than say an Eastonmade since your main two way part of the wedge stays on the machine instead of switching it out needlessly like on the Eastonmade. That has to be a big advantage right there for folks. I've heard some people say that they do not switch the wedges out on their splitters too often due to weight making it too bothersome to go back and forth. Anyway, thanks for the video.

    Before I got my SHO in September of 2022, this is the video i was looking for. Ever since I have mine, it's been AWSOME here in the Pacific NW, and it keeps leaving Fir (Douglas Fir) piles everywhere.
    i will add some of the Fir knots are just as hard (if not harder than oak) and it will sheer through it.

    Nice to have the ignition and throttle on the operating side. Also nice that the Honda is mounted on opposite side of log lift and further back compared to the C model. I had a close call with a big round.

      I like the design of this too, everything on the operator's side is pretty handy. Thanks for watching!

    Beast of a machine. I can’t wait to get my splitter. I going to try get some residual pine and blue spruce. Should be good test. Keep up the good work Wolfe ridge team. So glade can support such a great American 🇺🇸 company.

    I haven't been brave enough to try the 12 way on my 28c. Just don't come across that quality wood very often. Any word on dates for the frenzy?

    Hi Bob, nice video.....that 12 way wedge is crazy....that splitter is built for commercial use...whats the biggest round you have pushed thru on it?

      Thanks for watching! Around 16 inch diameter, in my opinion, is about perfect for piece sizes and max diameter for the 12 way.

    Excellent video. Some great design features especcially the compact nature once set up for transit. Good stuff! How fast is the cycle time? Cheers from HB NZ

    Hey Bob, another nice video. Serious question, are you able to tell me the weight differance between this one and the pro 28C?
    I am very curious how this one would pull behind a side x side…

    • @WolfeRidgeSplitters
      @WolfeRidgeSplitters  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      These weigh about 400# more than the 28C, but also have bigger tires. I have pulled this size machine around with a 400 CC Yamaha Grizzly in 4 low.

    • @BacktoBob1
      @BacktoBob1 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I want to say it is around 300lb (edited: 400lb). I could still pick this up by the hitch coupler myself and maneuver it around, I think it would pull nicely behind a Polaris General 😃

    How about a race between the 35SHO BW and 17VSC?

    • @DanielAtkinsFirewood
      @DanielAtkinsFirewood 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Haha. Now, there is a Woodyard race that would be fun to watch.
      Since mine is metric built, it already has an advantage over the standard ones 🤣👍

    The way you split, you might be better off with a wedge.

    • @BacktoBob1

      Wanted to show worst case scenario, so people can see exactly what happens with that 12 way wedge and non-straight grain wood. Thank you for watching!
