@@2amommai did that once, didnt work . Because my friend had sort of a long bob and i wanted something close to a pixie. I came out looking like a mushroom, had to sort it out myself.....so if someone has nice hair and you go to their hair dresser, make sure youre getting the same exact hair cut😂
I was a hairdresser trained in both british cutting and french. British takes many sections but french does not. We cut the length all as one section and divide the hair for layers. The only exception would be if someone had very thick hair. So depending on the stylists training will affect how they go about a hair cut.
Kudos to Buddha for having to sit and see things that he wishes he could unsee!!! It’s the little things that are the worst huh?!?!?!Such a SOLDIER!! 👍🏻💙👍🏻💙👍🏻👄👄
Hi Jurgen. I was in my hairdressers yesterday getting layers. And I mentioned about the 'other' hairdresser on here that teaches how to cut your own layers. They don't like him at all. But when I mentioned you, they love you! Because you try and teach people you can't cut your own hair, or bleach from dark to blonde and your advice is spot on. My hairdresser said we spend a long time training and there's a lot to learn, especially regarding chemicals etc. and you get some guy on YT who makes people think a couple of ponytails and you end up with a great hairstyle. I personally think there should be more legislation when it comes to buying bleach. I'm a nurse and have seen the damage caused by getting bleach in eyes, or burned scalps. I once had a lady come in who had used a box dye, the same one she had used for years, but for some reason she had an allergic reaction. Her face had swollen up, her eyes couldn't open and her throat was closing up. If she hadn't got medical treatment quickly her airway would have shut down. Please always do a strand test. I know we all want everything done quick nowadays, but it could save your life. Thanks again Jurgen.
Coffee and Hair Buddah. ❤️Unfortunately I don’t think many of the ladies in these videos watch your channel to obtain your valuable experience which I greatly appreciate along with your priceless reactions of course 🙂
Hello my dear. Thank you for all the knowledge you have given me with your videos. I'm not a professional, but you have helped me in doing my own hair and not damaging it. 🌻HOPE YOU HAVE A FANTASTIC MONDAY🌻
Thank you for giving us so much hair education! Your reaction videos are fantastic because you have empathy for the victims of the hair fails, and you tell exactly how to avoid it. This is helpful for so many people. Those doing it at home, so fewer fails, and some maybe decide to go to a salon instead. Those going to a salon who may realize the stylist is making mistakes, so they can speak up or leave before more damage is done. Those stylists who want to improve their skills. And those of us who may have wanted to be stylists but various life issues got in the way. Thank you for the great videos.
Hair Buddha helping us make it through another Monday. Shew! This will be a miracle if she pulls this off. Fingers crossed for her. But anxious to hear Hair Buddha's thoughts. Have a great day, Hair Buddha and friends. 🌞❤🌈
I really want to thank you for the wonderful service you are giving to the world, offering your expert advice to the public has helped probably a lot of people for stopping to make tha same mistakes we see on this videos; I myself have to thank you because I have followed your advice and that has help me getting my hair to red/copper and maintain it without getting an awful result
As to why peiple want to do stuff like this when they're depressed, ny friends and I were talking about this the other day. I think it's about exerting some control where you can. You cant necessarily change things upsetting you. You can change your hair color though!
I have 3 ft of curly red hair. I do cut my own bangs and have for decades. In my favor…..is the curly hair thing, it hides mistakes! BUT I’ve learned after years of attempts to do it correctly. I love OLIPLEX by the way. And use it daily.

I really enjoy your comments and thank you for all your advice im a black hair who bleaches my hair platinum and no toner have been bleaching my hair for over 40 years and its healthy and looks great. SO IT CAN BE DONE IF DONE RIGHT
The, you have to dream about sections!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . Oh my word that is so,so funny :))) I laughed so hard. You my friend are so talented with hair, and have a terrific personality. Love your channel. God Bless you and family. U.S.A. Ohio. Hugs, Rebekah
I love doing my hair, and I often do my hair when I’m suffering mentally. It’s gives me a mental break from my mental health, and all of my energy and focus goes to my hair. I love it tbh. But I know what I’m doing, high saturation, paper thin sections, and 10-20 volume only on my hair with bleach with bond builder. 😊
I coloured my pixiecut last week and heard you screeming "take fine sections". I couldn't because it was too short but I heard you screeming all the time
I had green hair, it was hard to make it go, so I used handwashing product lol but the most astonishing thing is when I left blue shampoo all night long and that in the morning I was platinum and it was so pretty 😂
I know they make special brushes for wet hair but ahhhh I cannot stand to watch wet hair (esp damaged wet hair) bring brushed - maybe try a nice bamboo comb...
The reason we “do stuff to our hair when in a bad mental state” is to feel better about ourselves and/or make a significant change, as we feel in a rut. I don’t think this is just women, could be wrong, but doing something for ourselves is making us feel better. Whether it’s mani/pedis, massage, changing our hair or buying ourselves a new pair of shoes. 🥰
To all the people who say just go to a professional, more often than not the times I went to a professional was disastrous. I’ve had them burn me, dyed the wrong color, and do hideously horrible cuts that I almost always have to fix when I get home. And yes, I ask for references and check reviews. 🤷🏻♀️ It ain’t easy to find a good hair dresser!
Chemical burns are why i stopped going to my old hair stylist. Every time she bleached my hair i got really bad chemical burns. I started doing my own hair at home and havent had a single chemical burn since.
So when doing your hair at home, can you just use any normal aluminium foil that you'd buy for food/cooking? Always wondered if the foil in salons is different.
He said in a different video (I don't remember which one, I'm afraid) that you can't and have to get a foil that is specifically meant for hair dying. I have no personal experience with it, so this is all I know about it :)
Most cities have a chain hair outlet that does haircuts for $25. They are not elegant, but they cut your hair per their training and you won’t look like your dog cut your hair!
Hair Buddha, watching these types of videos is why you have no hair huh? Trust me, when she showed her scalp with the chemical burns my face looked exactly like yours! ❤
So often people do something to their hair when experiencing mental health stress because they feel a lack of control and/or they have lower impulse control and hair is a very easy thing to control and change.
Then if you're doing the triangle to do the fangs. Do you start the triangle From your outer eye then go in to a triangle. Where do you start? I know it's supposed to have the rule sharp point printing the back of your head.
I had blisters all over my scalp and had to cut off more than 20 inches of hair. The stylist got a phone call from her daughter, who was away at college, and she totally forgot me while I had a perm solution on my head. Almost an hour later I knocked on the office door to let her know I couldn't stand the burning anymore. She was horrified, and my mother was raging. We had to cut my hair all the way to a pixie cut, and it looked awful. I've never gotten another perm, and it's taken me 30 years to trust anyone else to chemically treat my hair.
Ohhhhh, this one was especially PAINFUL to watch…THEN she went and attempted to cut her own bangs…..🙈 AHHHHH!!!! Going blonde(r) can be a terrific boost to one’s self image! HOWEVER! Treat yourself to a qualified professional at a reputable salon and you will be rewarded for your efforts. It’s worth EVERY.SINGLE.PENNY.
I honestly don't know why people are so adamant on having their hair a certain colour, even when the process turns their hair to fire kindling?? Yes it's white blonde but it also looks and feels something you'd scrub your toilet with
If I have dark brown natural hair, no previous color, and I want to dye just the ends of it a vibrant coral color, do I have to bleach to very blond or would just a little lift work?
You will need to bleach the areas you are coloring, but they don't need to be white. Bleaching to yellow or light orange should give you a vibrant coral color.
I got chemical burns from a Professional Hairdresser (right before my wedding). During my honeymoon I was peeling huge sheets of skin off my poor scalp. This is one of the reasons I don’t trust hairdressers anymore and do my own hair now. THANK YOU so much for your videos and for teaching us Hair Buddha! 🙏🏼
I'm gonna start investing in good wigs! They're not cheap, but in the long run you won't have to buy all these products that can be potentially dangerous to a non-professional to use. I'm think I want 3 wigs for variety. I could buy one a year maybe...?
When talking about the correct way to cut hair, are you referring to modern cuts, cause I believe they have an old-fashioned cut called a middy 🤷♀️ I got Into an argument with a tech teacher cause she tried telling me a middy isn't the cut, it's the style 🙄🙄🙄
💚 to platinum blond. More like melted blond. Should wait let it fade then do the blond and meantime condition like crazy first. Thank you Hair Buddha. Your reaction is like mine. Yikes 😬
Honest question: can anyone recommend a hair dye in a daaaark blue color? But not black-blue. One that wouldn't bleed when someone sweat? I could live with a blue shower but definitely don't want to look like a smurf after going to a gym...
Hey hello, what do you think of the end result?
Not good :/ but was entertaining though!😂👌
Could have been so much worse
Hiya from Brisbane Australia. Love your vids. Brightens my week. Thank you 💥 (her end results needs 2yrs of therapy - and hair treatments)
Yikes!!
Good she didn't do it all alone, but she should have considered a professional.
I feel bad for her.
“I need you to dream about fine sections”
When I tell you I laughed so loud
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
brad mondo’s would be: dream about not starting at the roots! 😂
The girl that does my hair watches your videos. That is such a HUGE relief for me.
Lol. I saw a professional charge $415 for a service which included a trim - she did not take sections. I said Hair Budda would not be impressed...
DEFINITELY do NOT go to that kind of stylist! Get a good friend who has beautiful hair to refer you to their stylist.
