I think I'm in the minority of people who went through one of these surgeries and thankfully don't regret it (and I hope I never do). It was "just" a mastectomy and I'm really happy with the result, but at the same time, yes, I'm fed up with the woke nonsense and this dangerous ideology, and I don't know whether or not I'd have felt the need to this in the first place had the ideology not been so prevalent and commonplace. It's got to stop. People aren't always going to be as lucky as I have been to have not felt damaged by it. I just see it as part of my existence and part of my journey through life, and I wouldn't be the same person without that experience so I'm thankful for it.

But also the way he describes the therapists refusal to accept that he regretted it is super disturbing. I have to disagree. As a trans person, my issue with people who detransition and with people who have stories like these is that they come onto platforms to speak publicly about their experiences and make it seem as if that is the truth and reality for all trans people. That is certainly not the case. These people are not “victims” of being transgender. They are victims of being abused. They are victims of misinformation. They are victims of doctors who follow malpractice. They are victims of manipulation. And sometimes they are really a victim of their own poor choice to not properly research but instead rush into transitioning without proper knowledge and resources after realizing that maybe they weren’t actually trans but rather just queer, curious, or simply doing it because someone else told them they were trans rather than using their brain to make a sound decision for themselves. They then take their individual bad experiences and poor choice of decisions and paint that as the truth for the entirety of the trans community. Then people like you hear their stories and run with it, causing this cycle in which the the entire trans community is terribly villainized and given a bad rep. And though I feel bad for some of these individuals and would never wish their experiences on anyone, I also have to firm in the truth that a majority of trans people actually do have great and positive experiences in their transition. For this one story of genital mutilation there are hundreds more success stories with good results, well informed trans patients, and good doctors behind them. A majority of us were not manipulated, forced, rushed, or brainwashed into our transition. A majority of us actually do take the time to research and obtain information and look into doctors with good practice and hold deep discussions and ask questions and go to years of therapy before deciding to transition. A majority of us do not stupidly let someone else decide whether or not we are trans. And despite the outcome of one person’s negative experience and despite what the CIS gender hetero population who have never walked a day in our shoes and experience will tell you, a majority of us are not confused and we are quite certain about who we are as trans individuals, even from very early on in life. Science and studies are now recognizing that gay and trans people are not “mentally ill” or “choosing” to be this way and that there is strong evidence that suggests that it is indeed genetic and inherently neurological. In my own case, I have known literally from infancy. I took my time to build a healthy support system and execptional medical professionals around me before I did anything. I wasn’t abused or manipulated or letting anyone rush me into anything. I have had my surgeries, all of which were great and successful. I’m now 27 and my life is better than ever! As someone who is an active member in support group for trans women in my community, I have met thousands of trans women and they will tell you the same. I am a brutally honest and blunt individual and I am quick to shut down anything I feel is unhealthy, toxic, and harmful. And if I felt transitioning was this harmful and toxic experience, I wouldn’t at all be an advocate for ACTUAL trans women who aren’t victims of someone else’s poor choice of actions. So no, we are not silencing these people. We are silencing the false narrative that these peoples stories are our stories.
I am a physician and I am 💯waiting for all these “kids” to go through puberty/young adulthood and understand what has been done to them…and then SUE the physicians who did it. Many of us have fought against the “trend” and have been threatened, silenced, and censored. I hope the pendulum is swinging back to reality and we will once again protect our children.

I feel the same. How could anyone not feel compassion for him and how could anyone attack him out of insane ideology? You can see his nervousness and reticence but his bravery shines through. This should not have happened to him and our medical establishment should never have allowed it. We put our lives in the hands of doctors and trust them to cut us and remove parts of our bodies because we are taught that they are there to make us better and they are committed to do that above any other concern. I don't understand doctors that would amputate a perfectly normal, healthy organ. They wouldn't amputate a leg if the patient insisted that they identified as one-legged. It's body dysmorphia and should be addressed on a psychological level.

The more stories i hear the more i realise genuine transgenderism is rarer than it seems. Most people miss the connection to loving family and friends who accept them as they are. For some reason they think the problem is that they are in the wrong body. My 24 year old son told us he was trans almost 2 years ago now and has been on wrong sex hormones for over a year and a half. This has brought me to the darkest place I have ever been in my life and brought me to my knees. He is an adult and there is nothing I can do to stop him. My 24 year old brother came out as trans a couple of years also and it literally almost ruined my parents. It is just so disturbing and devastating for all family members involved, to watch a family member literally choose to throw their life away because they’ve gotten caught up in this radical woke movement and go out in public humiliating themselves so much that you worry about them being the target of violence. My brother is a massive 6 foot 2 bloke, really fat and he goes out in public wearing dresses like a 5 year old girl would wear to a birthday party. I can totally understand what it’s like for a parent because I live next door to my parents and have watched them have to go through it. My brother has never even given a thought about being respectful or appropriate about it either, he just does what he wants despite the shock value. Thankfully he’s too lazy to probably ever get the surgery but he wants it and I know he’s expecting my parents to pay for it. It really is. I can't imagine agreeing to be castrated, and having doctors be the ones to convince you it's a good idea. Something is going very wrong with humanity.
It really is. A couple of years ago I was following Ritchie's story and reading the descriptions of what happened to him had me sobbing. It's the only time I remember crying reading a Twitter thread. The way he detailed what had been done to him was truly horrifying.
I'm a nurse and have Bach of science in biology. Tried to warn a family member against this and I was called all types of Bit@$'s, transphobic, made to be a villain because I was trying to warn this person on the outcomes. I just learned to let people make their own mistakes even if it breaks your heart. This story is so disheartening bc people that speak out are destroyed have their careers threatened. The system is the beast.

What's shocking is that one usually associates questionable "experimental" procedures with the USA (where lobotomies were invented an widely practiced) and NOT the UK which has a FAR more conservative medical profession. I’ve yet to see any scientist prove it exists. my mom (an RN) was hired to do private wound care for a transman who got phalloplasty - my mom said she would NEVER recommend the surgery to anyone because its such a delicate fraught recovery with insanely high chance of complications.
Also, the use of the term phalloplasty in this case is a misnomer, as is the case with a lot of the language T ideology uses. Phalloplasty is used for some men who have been injured in war, or a car crash for example. Not using flesh from a woman’s forearm to sew onto her crotch. But, using the term phalloplasty allows them to say things like “they do it on cis men”. Yes, because they’re men, terms like cis, in turn, allow these people to say that cis men and trans men are just types of men. When in fact, “cis” men are the only type of men.

They can get a implant that is basically a bladder inside the pseudopenis that is pumped up by operating a pump in the scrotum. None of that sounds like a fun sexy time to me. @@SheridanM-dc1nk I worked on a plastic surgery ward over 40 years ago and when a person transitioned from female to male, firstly the double mastectomy, then usually 2 years later a neo-phallus was constructed from a radial forearm flap. Back then no surgery was undertaken on any person under 18 years of age, and you would be referred to a psychiatrist. The treatment and management plan would be, you would be expected to live as a male or female, wear clothing that would identify you as such. You had to agree to follow protocols the psychiatrist stipulated. Keep appointments and engage with referrals to the departments psychologist and any nurses involved with your care. If a person was diagnosed with other mental disorders /illness this would effect how to help and offer medical, and ultimately surgical interventions. I never met anyone who regretted asking for help. I do remember nursing and caring for patients who were naturally very distressed when complications arose and the surgery was not successful. People used to move to London and get referred to a London hospital because they knew they would get help and be treated by empathetic professionals. I also met people who had personality disorders and threatened various degrees of self-harm because they felt the treatment wasn't moving quickly enough and believed that this approach would get them what they ultimately wanted. Very occasionally there were threats to members of the team and this behaviour resulted in immediate discharge from the clinic. That was then. Now maybe we should consider the motivations of professionals working in this specialty. We only have to reflect what happened at the Tavistock Clinic. I believe this young person would not have had gender reassignment with their presenting psychiatric diagnosis 40 years ago. Now it feels like the safeguards are highly questionable. Listening to this is making me feel very angry TBH.

This is one of the most disturbing and upsetting things ive watched. I really feel sick that the very thing that may lead some to go through with these surgeries, i.e an attraction to same sex, or feelings that make you feel a man or women whichever you are not can lead to ending up without that initial sexual stimulation and lifetime regret. I doubt any teenager has never thought of such things and especially when hormones run wild. Today with all the identities we are told to accept even if you think its crazy can lead to life changing catastrophes. This has always seemed to me something that shouldn't be allowed for children, and is so risky that only an adult should be able to contemplate it. If it means your kids hate you for being against it theres always time to make amends emotionally and mentally, but if you allow your kid to go through this then their life means there is no physical return for everyone affected.

As a young female, l rode horses, loved guns, and raced cars. As an Older female, l married, had kids, never had any really close longterm female relationships, hated most all women’s meetings, get togethers or conferences, baby and wedding showers, shopping, all yuck. Never could decorate anything, make flower arrangements or wrap pretty packages. Hated being pregnant beyond all l could even express and childbirth was a horrible experience, but l loved my kids, nursed them, tho l didn’t want to, was a good mom, took good care of them, had fun with them, still have good relationships with them as adults and love my grandkids too. I loved my physical relationship with my second husband of 33 yrs, but not with the first one, a 5 yr disaster. I am very plain spoken. I don’t do drama and l am not needy. Most women don’t like me nor l them, except for the ones in my family. Being different is okay. It doesn’t mean you’re trapped in a different body or that you are somehow perverse because you don’t enjoy pregnancy or like girly stuff. It just means you’re not that kind of female. I enjoyed working and making money. I didn’t put up with endless and indefinite crap from men and was never “submissive” but l understood my husband and didn’t have unrealistic expectations of him. He was stoic. I found that stabilizing and appealing. All of this ridiculous gender mess is insane, sad, and devastating to individuals and to society. God made us a certain way biologically and we should embrace that to have a happy life. Yes, lve always been considered a weird duck, but my life has worked and been successful in most ways. God has blessed me and l am grateful!

I'm a neurodivergent 'manly' woman, the world was against me for just not complying with my gender 'rules' for most of my life.I do a (mostly) male job and I talk a lot about tools etc. I don't really care anymore tbh, but what if I had someone back in the day telling me that I felt rejected, not because society is culturally rigid about gender roles but because I'm in the wrong body and I should cut my boobs out? As a vulnerable teenager I could have been convinced that was the case. So instead of making more flexibe those 'rules' people'd rather go into a life changing procedure. Which is baffling to me, you dont need to become a woman to use a skirt and wear pink. Just put on that damned skirt, you can still be called a man and be accepted with your pink skirt. I've gotten banned by TH-cam for stating facts about this child abuse. I spent six years in college. This is abuse. No reputable counselor or doctor does this on a minor. The UK and EU countries who have state run medical resources and no profit incentives have largely stopped child gender change after scientific studies.

This alludes to a question I (and others) have had regarding all of this: why, if a biological male is experiencing "gender dysphoria" do the doctors not investigate the lad's natural hormone levels (testosterone et al.) and figure out if there's a deficit? We now know that our environment (our food, our water, our clothes) bombards us all with endocrine disruptors such as glyphosate (found in pesticides like RoundUp) and plastics/microplastics. I consulted a doctor about removing a benign lump on my testes. He advised against it due to the high risk of contracting a flesh-eating bacteria, which is extremely difficult to treat. If a minor procedure carries such significant risks, imagine the dangers associated with more invasive surgeries.

As someone who's struggled with mental health my whole life, it makes me physically ill and REALLY angry that these "medical professionals" took advantage of Ritchie's vulnerable state. In my most chaotic and low periods, where I felt like I had no self-identity, I can see now that I could've easily been manipulated in a similar way. Transman here. Love the courage this dude has, this is the reality of transitioning, we need more people sharing these types of stories. Detransitioners are forever going to be the strongest in my world. These surgeries,medication, and everything that goes with it, is for life not just a phase. I can’t get my wife pregnant, I can’t stop taking these meds, I also choose this and know the side effects. As much as trans people are in the schools and disney world talking about their surgeries and praising this lifestyle,we need twice as many detransitioners talking to these kids and telling them all the facts. Tell them the whole story not just the fairytale.

I have a gay housemate and some of what you said does apply to him. He is also ocd and goes through wild sex and drug sprees constantly and out of all my friends I’ve helped through their problems with, he is the hardest to get through to. One part is that i feel like by stating my position and my concerns i may somehow be insensitive or out depth when talking about gay stuff with him. Another issue is that a lot of this behaviour is normal in the circles he is in and i always felt like he convinces himself it’s normal because so many gay guys live like that and it’s part of being gay. Feel like i never knew the reality of the struggles a gay person might have until i lived with him and it’s nothing like what the media portrays. The happy fun side all his mates see is nothing like what i see go on his head when i chat with him at home. It’s like a person constantly unsure of himself and always trying project himself in certain’ way without just being himself or enforcing his own values. It’s to the point where sometimes its hard to tell if he even knows what values and morals he has and if he is alway mirroring someone else or another gay guy he likes. Sorry if i typed anything insensitive, it’s hard to articulate or describe his brain from what i gather from my pov but i feel like i got to a point where idk how to help him with his problems. I just want to tell him to run away from the community and go solo and take care of himself for a bit but he is so reliant on other people for emotional support that he gets stuck in the pity stage and then reverts back to every bad habit he was doing before.

Hello Ritchie, thanks for sharing your story!! I sent this video to a friend who watched the video with her 18 year old trans son. He is scheduled for bottom surgery in less than a month. After listening to your story he decided to cancel his surgery and wait a few more years to make sure that surgery is something he really wants to do. He also said that he's being pressured by his doctor at the gender clinic to do the surgery now. His doctor said "your 18 now and nobody can stop you, you don't have to tell your family about the surgery."... the doctor was basically encouraging him to get the surgery without telling his parents. What these poor, misguided LIED TO people don’t fully understand going into this is that, despite what the industry wants us to believe, they cannot perform miracles. No one is getting an actual penis or vagina. It’s a mock up. An illusion. dear ritchie, thank you so much for sharing your story, you are so incredibly brave. my son started his transition a few years ago at age 32. he was using drugs, had mental health issues and was racing to get the surgery. he got so bad he attempted suicide 2 times. he is a veteran and had hoped the VA would do it (now they won't - thank God). he was headed to oregon but suddenly, 2 weeks ago, he sent me a txt saying he is now going to detransition. through it all, my feelings were always this: you are my child and my love for you is unconditional. SO.., besides praying every day he survives, how can i support him through this detransition? in the meantime, everything you say just breaks my heart. i hope everyone can try and be as brave you and reveal this sham for what it is. so many need mental health treatment instead, they fall prey to these evil people looking for their next vicitum (and the 60 or $70K.) i pray God bestows a miracle upon you and you find your way to love and happiness. I think I'm in the minority of people who went through one of these surgeries and thankfully don't regret it (and I hope I never do). It was "just" a mastectomy and I'm really happy with the result, but at the same time, yes, I'm fed up with the woke nonsense and this dangerous ideology, and I don't know whether or not I'd have felt the need to this in the first place had the ideology not been so prevalent and commonplace. It's got to stop. People aren't always going to be as lucky as I have been to have not felt damaged by it. I just see it as part of my existence and part of my journey through life, and I wouldn't be the same person without that experience so I'm thankful for it.

The fact these people are being silenced and harassed is equally as disturbing as the misconduct from those giving the “affirming care”
I have to disagree. As a trans person, my issue with people who detransition and with people who have stories like these is that they come onto platforms to speak publicly about their experiences and make it seem as if that is the truth and reality for all trans people. That is certainly not the case. These people are not “victims” of being transgender. They are victims of being abused. They are victims of misinformation. They are victims of doctors who follow malpractice. They are victims of manipulation. And sometimes they are really a victim of their own poor choice to not properly research but instead rush into transitioning without proper knowledge and resources after realizing that maybe they weren’t actually trans but rather just queer, curious, or simply doing it because someone else told them they were trans rather than using their brain to make a sound decision for themselves. They then take their individual bad experiences and poor choice of decisions and paint that as the truth for the entirety of the trans community. Then people like you hear their stories and run with it, causing this cycle in which the the entire trans community is terribly villainized and given a bad rep. And though I feel bad for some of these individuals and would never wish their experiences on anyone, I also have to firm in the truth that a majority of trans people actually do have great and positive experiences in their transition. For this one story of genital mutilation there are hundreds more success stories with good results, well informed trans patients, and good doctors behind them. A majority of us were not manipulated, forced, rushed, or brainwashed into our transition. A majority of us actually do take the time to research and obtain information and look into doctors with good practice and hold deep discussions and ask questions and go to years of therapy before deciding to transition. A majority of us do not stupidly let someone else decide whether or not we are trans. And despite the outcome of one person’s negative experience and despite what the CIS gender hetero population who have never walked a day in our shoes and experience will tell you, a majority of us are not confused and we are quite certain about who we are as trans individuals, even from very early on in life. Science and studies are now recognizing that gay and trans people are not “mentally ill” or “choosing” to be this way and that there is strong evidence that suggests that it is indeed genetic and inherently neurological. In my own case, I have known literally from infancy. I took my time to build a healthy support system and execptional medical professionals around me before I did anything. I wasn’t abused or manipulated or letting anyone rush me into anything. I have had my surgeries, all of which were great and successful. I’m now 27 and my life is better than ever! As someone who is an active member in support group for trans women in my community, I have met thousands of trans women and they will tell you the same. I am a brutally honest and blunt individual and I am quick to shut down anything I feel is unhealthy, toxic, and harmful. And if I felt transitioning was this harmful and toxic experience, I wouldn’t at all be an advocate for ACTUAL trans women who aren’t victims of someone else’s poor choice of actions. So no, we are not silencing these people. We are silencing the false narrative that these peoples stories are our stories.
I am a physician and I am 💯waiting for all these “kids” to go through puberty/young adulthood and understand what has been done to them…and then SUE the physicians who did it. Many of us have fought against the “trend” and have been threatened, silenced, and censored. I hope the pendulum is swinging back to reality and we will once again protect our children.

I feel the same. How could anyone not feel compassion for him and how could anyone attack him out of insane ideology? You can see his nervousness and reticence but his bravery shines through. This should not have happened to him and our medical establishment should never have allowed it. We put our lives in the hands of doctors and trust them to cut us and remove parts of our bodies because we are taught that they are there to make us better and they are committed to do that above any other concern. My 24 year old brother came out as trans a couple of years also and it literally almost ruined my parents. It is just so disturbing and devastating for all family members involved, to watch a family member literally choose to throw their life away because they’ve gotten caught up in this radical woke movement and go out in public humiliating themselves so much that you worry about them being the target of violence. My brother is a massive 6 foot 2 bloke, really fat and he goes out in public wearing dresses like a 5 year old girl would wear to a birthday party. I can totally understand what it’s like for a parent because I live next door to my parents and have watched them have to go through it. My brother has never even given a thought about being respectful or appropriate about it either, he just does what he wants despite the shock value. It really is. A couple of years ago I was following Ritchie's story and reading the descriptions of what happened to him had me sobbing. It's the only time I remember crying reading a Twitter thread. The way he detailed what had been done to him was truly horrifying.

I'm a nurse and have Bach of science in biology. Tried to warn a family member against this and I was called all types of Bit@$'s, transphobic, made to be a villain because I was trying to warn this person on the outcomes. I just learned to let people make their own mistakes even if it breaks your heart. This story is so disheartening bc people that speak out are destroyed have their careers threatened. The system is the beast.

But for some it is the right decision and they don't have bad outcomes.

my mom (an RN) was hired to do private wound care for a transman who got phalloplasty - my mom said she would NEVER recommend the surgery to anyone because its such a delicate fraught recovery with insanely high chance of complications.
Also, the use of the term phalloplasty in this case is a misnomer, as is the case with a lot of the language T ideology uses. Phalloplasty is used for some men who have been injured in war, or a car crash for example. Not using flesh from a woman’s forearm to sew onto her crotch. But, using the term phalloplasty allows them to say things like “they do it on cis men”. Yes, because they’re men, terms like cis, in turn, allow these people to say that cis men and trans men are just types of men. When in fact, “cis” men are the only type of men.

@@SheridanM-dc1nk I worked on a plastic surgery ward over 40 years ago and when a person transitioned from female to male, firstly the double mastectomy, then usually 2 years later a neo-phallus was constructed from a radial forearm flap.
Back then no surgery was undertaken on any person under 18 years of age, and you would be referred to a psychiatrist. The treatment and management plan would be, you would be expected to live as a male or female, wear clothing that would identify you as such. You had to agree to follow protocols the psychiatrist stipulated. Keep appointments and engage with referrals to the departments psychologist and any nurses involved with your care.
If a person was diagnosed with other mental disorders /illness this would effect how to help and offer medical, and ultimately surgical interventions.
I never met anyone who regretted asking for help. I do remember nursing and caring for patients who were naturally very distressed when complications arose and the surgery was not successful. People used to move to London and get referred to a London hospital because they knew they would get help and be treated by empathetic professionals.
I also met people who had personality disorders and threatened various degrees of self-harm because they felt the treatment wasn't moving quickly enough and believed that this approach would get them what they ultimately wanted. Very occasionally there were threats to members of the team and this behaviour resulted in immediate discharge from the clinic. That was then. Now maybe we should consider the motivations of professionals working in this specialty. We only have to reflect what happened at the Tavistock Clinic.
I believe this young person would not have had gender reassignment with their presenting psychiatric diagnosis 40 years ago. Now it feels like the safeguards are highly questionable.

This is one of the most disturbing and upsetting things ive watched. I really feel sick that the very thing that may lead some to go through with these surgeries, i.e an attraction to same sex, or feelings that make you feel a man or women whichever you are not can lead to ending up without that initial sexual stimulation and lifetime regret. I doubt any teenager has never thought of such things and especially when hormones run wild.

As a young female, l rode horses, loved guns, and raced cars. As an Older female, l married, had kids, never had any really close longterm female relationships, hated most all women’s meetings, get togethers or conferences, baby and wedding showers, shopping, all yuck. Never could decorate anything, make flower arrangements or wrap pretty packages. Hated being pregnant beyond all l could even express and childbirth was a horrible experience, but l loved my kids, nursed them, tho l didn’t want to, was a good mom, took good care of them, had fun with them, still have good relationships with them as adults and love my grandkids too. I loved my physical relationship with my second husband of 33 yrs, but not with the first one, a 5 yr disaster. I am very plain spoken. I don’t do drama and l am not needy. Most women don’t like me nor l them, except for the ones in my family.
Being different is okay. It doesn’t mean you’re trapped in a different body or that you are somehow perverse because you don’t enjoy pregnancy or like girly stuff. It just means you’re not that kind of female. I enjoyed working and making money. I didn’t put up with endless and indefinite crap from men and was never “submissive” but l understood my husband and didn’t have unrealistic expectations of him. He was stoic. I found that stabilizing and appealing. All of this ridiculous gender mess is insane, sad, and devastating to individuals and to society. God made us a certain way biologically and we should embrace that to have a happy life. Yes, lve always been considered a weird duck, but my life has worked and been successful in most ways. God has blessed me and l am grateful!

I feel that youre the same way and I think its awesome! my wife does have female friends but very few and theyre no BS chicks and I deeply respect your type. As a vulnerable teenager I could have been convinced that was the case. So instead of making more flexibe those 'rules' people'd rather go into a life changing procedure. Which is baffling to me, you dont need to become a woman to use a skirt and wear pink. Just put on that damned skirt, you can still be called a man and be accepted with your pink skirt. That is what shows me that society isn't more tolerant nor open, we still need to label as a freak to people who want different things and force them to go into surgery instead of just accept differences without making a big deal. This alludes to a question I (and others) have had regarding all of this: why, if a biological male is experiencing "gender dysphoria" do the doctors not investigate the lad's natural hormone levels (testosterone et al.) and figure out if there's a deficit? We now know that our environment (our food, our water, our clothes) bombards us all with endocrine disruptors such as glyphosate (found in pesticides like RoundUp) and plastics/microplastics. Instead, these young people are being herded into some 'brave new world' (a utopia for the managers, a dystopia for the experiencers).

I consulted a doctor about removing a benign lump on my testes. He advised against it due to the high risk of contracting a flesh-eating bacteria, which is extremely difficult to treat. If a minor procedure carries such significant risks, imagine the dangers associated with more invasive surgeries.

As someone who's struggled with mental health my whole life, it makes me physically ill and REALLY angry that these "medical professionals" took advantage of Ritchie's vulnerable state. In my most chaotic and low periods, where I felt like I had no self-identity, I can see now that I could've easily been manipulated in a similar way. It scares the crap out of me thinking of the types of irreparable life changing decisions I could've been convinced to make.

It's more of a general observation of how in such a vulnerable state a "mental health professional" with questionable motives could've convinced me of alot of things that weren't based in objective reality. Transman here. Love the courage this dude has, this is the reality of transitioning, we need more people sharing these types of stories. Detransitioners are forever going to be the strongest in my world. These surgeries,medication, and everything that goes with it, is for life not just a phase. I can’t get my wife pregnant, I can’t stop taking these meds, I also choose this and know the side effects. As much as trans people are in the schools and disney world talking about their surgeries and praising this lifestyle,we need twice as many detransitioners talking to these kids and telling them all the facts. Tell them the whole story not just the fairytale.

I am currently in a lesbian relationship. It would be easier to be a "male" before I come to her country because her country will jail a homosexual couple.
But I am female because of my sex. It doesn't matter how much I lie to myself or others, in no way would I come closer to being male by taking hormones, going under surgery, or changing my name.
Masculine females and feminine males as well as homosexual people much like myself are becoming victims of this "gender" as a social term every day, and I long for the day that we return to the basics and what is concrete instead of labeling the brain or soul as things they should have never been labled with.

I have a gay housemate and some of what you said does apply to him.
He is also ocd and goes through wild sex and drug sprees constantly and out of all my friends I’ve helped through their problems with, he is the hardest to get through to.
One part is that i feel like by stating my position and my concerns i may somehow be insensitive or out depth when talking about gay stuff with him.
Another issue is that a lot of this behaviour is normal in the circles he is in and i always felt like he convinces himself it’s normal because so many gay guys live like that and it’s part of being gay.
Feel like i never knew the reality of the struggles a gay person might have until i lived with him and it’s nothing like what the media portrays. The happy fun side all his mates see is nothing like what i see go on his head when i chat with him at home.
It’s like a person constantly unsure of himself and always trying project himself in certain’ way without just being himself or enforcing his own values.
It’s to the point where sometimes its hard to tell if he even knows what values and morals he has and if he is alway mirroring someone else or another gay guy he likes.
Sorry if i typed anything insensitive, it’s hard to articulate or describe his brain from what i gather from my pov but i feel like i got to a point where idk how to help him with his problems.
I just want to tell him to run away from the community and go solo and take care of himself for a bit but he is so reliant on other people for emotional support that he gets stuck in the pity stage and then reverts back to every bad habit he was doing before.

Hello Ritchie, thanks for sharing your story!! I sent this video to a friend who watched the video with her 18 year old trans son. He is scheduled for bottom surgery in less than a month. After listening to your story he decided to cancel his surgery and wait a few more years to make sure that surgery is something he really wants to do. He also said that he's being pressured by his doctor at the gender clinic to do the surgery now. His doctor said "your 18 now and nobody can stop you, you don't have to tell your family about the surgery."... the doctor was basically encouraging him to get the surgery without telling his parents. These "doctors" are manipulative. They are using vulnerable children to further their toxic agenda. Thank you for speaking out Ritchie! ❤

dear ritchie, thank you so much for sharing your story, you are so incredibly brave. my son started his transition a few years ago at age 32. he was using drugs, had mental health issues and was racing to get the surgery. he got so bad he attempted suicide 2 times. he is a veteran and had hoped the VA would do it (now they won't - thank God). he was headed to oregon but suddenly, 2 weeks ago, he sent me a txt saying he is now going to detransition. through it all, my feelings were always this: you are my child and my love for you is unconditional. SO.., besides praying every day he survives, how can i support him through this detransition? in the meantime, everything you say just breaks my heart. i hope everyone can try and be as brave you and reveal this sham for what it is. so many need mental health treatment instead, they fall prey to these evil people looking for their next vicitum (and the 60 or $70K.) i pray God bestows a miracle upon you and you find your way to love and happiness. Anyone will find unlimited love, acceptance, and peace in Jesus Christ, if they are born again, via Acts 2:38. Water baptism in Jesus name is burying your old self with Jesus. You rise up out of that water with all sin forgiven. And you can feel it. Then being filled with the Holy Ghost, receiving from God Himself a prayer language called "other tongues," is when supernatural power begins. That is the evidence of being filled with the Holy Ghost. Please, pray for this for your son. It's called born again for a reason. It's beyond receiving Christ as Lord. Beyond believing on Jesus.
