Where is she going lols, considering you’ll have to get treatments bleaching and repair work then your colour or blonde or whatever it’s loads of work how is she getting all that for 50-60 😂
Going from blue to blond in a salon for £50-60?? I guess that’ll be a very cheap salon, not that specialized?? For that price, without knowing results from others, I’d be highly skeptical of what the result will be? Even though it would be more expensive, I would definitely choose a salon that is not that cheap.. for that price, I wouldn’t trust it without seeing results on other people. Even if you don’t have that much money. The chance of ruining your hair by yourself is quite big with a lot of people, most are too confident.. and it will often end up being just as pricey as going to the salon.

Similar yet different story. As a kid, I had a friend who wanted to dye her naturally red hair blue. So she goes and buys this one small tub of like premixed bleach stuff, even then I was like idk but I think this isn't enough for your SHOULDER length hair but she was like eh don't anyway. So here I am, trying to bleach her hair. Oh boy, did it come out splotches, like 6 different shares. Did she want to stop then? Nope. Said to keep going. I slap that blue manic panic on top and omg ...her hair turned like 6 shades of green and blue green. She was in tears, blamed me somehow, and ended up dying her hair black 😂
But you did what she asked you to do and then she blames you? Did she blame you cuz she needed someone to point the finger at? Did you stay friends with her after that?
When I had my hair blue and wanted to get rid of it my hairdresser told me straight away that she could try and bleach it out and it might work but it would most likely destroy my hair. She suggested cutting off most of it and bleaching the little bit that was left and maintaining the little bit that was dead because it easier than trying to maintain a lot of dead hair. So I went from having hair down to my lower back to just past my shoulders lol. Never touched blue hair dye again just usually stick to pink because it fades quite nicely in my hair. But at least the girl in the video didn't use coconut oil lol.
I did something similar, my hair was long like yours and blue. I bleached the hell out of it to get rid of the colour and ruined it and had to have it cut to the shoulders. Now I have a few inches of blonde left as i grow my hair out. I only put in a tint for conditioner now, I dont think I'll bleach it again.
When I had blue hair (which was for a good few months by the way) I came out of it stratigically - I went from aquamarine, to turquoise, to lime green, then I did some colour remouver and went to pink to cancel it out. The whole thing took maybe like 6 months in total? It's not impossible to have the colour out of your hair, but it's a process
It's always funny to me that they rarely consider time...letting your hair grown out, or getting a shorter cut, etc to be helpful options. It's a new phenomenon where people think you can change colors like LED lights instead of a practical, timely process 😂
I've been living with a deep blue pixie/mohawk/mullet mix for two years that I cut, bleach and dye myself and am very happy with it. Bleach the roots only once every two months with 20 vol./30 minutes and it's enough, although I have naturally brown hair, which is very fine. I enjoy it, but I have one hair rule in life, if I want long hair, then bleach really isn't an option.
This used to be me. I had so many bleaching/colouring disasters over the years doing it myself at home. These days I go to the hairdresser to have it done. Yes, it's expensive, but SO worth it. I put away money each week and save up to go to the salon every two months. My stylist also advises me on how to care for my hair between visits (products to use etc) and is always happy to share styling tips and give advice.
Where I am in the USA, it would be a minimum of $150 to start (doesnt include hair cut or blow dry). Depending on whether they did a a full foil or 1 process, it could be easily over $225. $75 would get you a cut and blow dry, wouldnt even be for a dye job.
I love your videos Buddha. I wish I lived in Belgium and was able to go to your salon. Your videos are enlightening, funny and entertaining. When I have some free time or when I feel down, I watch your videos and it instantly makes me feel better. Greetings from France 😊
I've had mainly blue hair for 4 years now... a few times I've gone deep blue based purple, or let my blue fade to green and put green on it. Direct dyes are a phenomenal amount of work. I pay to bleach once a year, I do my roots at home with a demi and the direct colour whenever it needs it. My hair is in top condition because I look after it... seriously... Clumps falling out? Scary.
I think the best remedy is 'don't paint your hair blue'. Buy blue wig and put it on whenever you want. It's so much easier to remove well blended to your skin and glued wig than blue from your hair.
If she had pre-pigmented with red, would that have neutralized the overt green, and allowed for a warm blonde shade to take better? I have done something similar for someone who box dyed her hair teal green and quickly regretted it. I used color remover to get about half of the green out and then used a red based protein filler to go in and neutralize what was left of the green enough so it would take a medium golden blonde with no drab green showing through. It looked good, but I warned her it would need to be redone periodically due to how much she had damaged her hair by bleaching and dying it, then removing and redying. I also told her to condition her hair and leave it alone in between. She didn't listen. 🤦♀ Love your content!!
I'm watching this with a hair mask on and my hair is having flashback's from 15 years ago - my hair is so great full that I stopped doing this shit to it that I can literally hear it grow 😂😂😂
💜🥰🤩🤗 That is one brave woman! I don't think I would have the stones to bleach my hair on my bed. Omg, she's giving me anxiety yanking/tearing her hair apart - poor thing needs a comb
I was thinking the same thing, "Holy sh**, she's doing it on her bed?" She must still be living under her parent's roof and doesn't care what she messes up.
I'd bet that "50 pounds" quote was just for the consult, and maybe a test strand, so the stylist could determine exactly what needed doing, and provide a real quote.
It might not be the cost for a consultation, but I'd be really surprised if that was the total cost for a colour correction. Having my 10-15cm virgin hair bleached 10 years ago was more than that.
@@WinterWitch01 Actually, I think this is just the average price the hairdresser gave her before the consultation, just to let her know that cannot be less than that.
She told us she asked for a consultation. I don't know why she thought the price of a consultation would include the work they discuss. But we know she's not smart.
I HAVE learned from this video! that no matter how much knowledge your videos have given me, I am STILL going to leave my lowlights to my HIGHLY skilled Italian hairdresser
I have dyed my hair two weeks ago... all by myself... first bleach then purple... Big mess... and stressful! I love how it looks now but without my daughter saying me where I missed a spot I would be so horrible! Never do things like this alone! You'll need the extra pair of eyes
I agree completely. I am 65 yrs old and I go to my stylist every 3-4 months. I have a pixie cut and have highlights on top of my hair. I did the cap highlights when I was about 20 yrs old. It didn't go well. I have no idea what I am doing. I am on social security so I just set a little money aside each month.

"At the end, you will loose more money" soooo true and I've personnally experienced this over the years. Just the bleach, a good bleach, is expensive but really makes a difference
After watching these videos I now appreciate just how fortunate we are in the UK with how much hairdressers charge for their skills. I pay £60 for blond highlights, grey toners and a trim with a Curly blow. I'd probably have to get a loan for my hair done elsewhere 😂
You can't even get a simple full head bleach for £60, let alone a colour correction from blue. It's certainly possible (and likely) that she misrepresented the situation when obtaining a quote.
It was likely an assessment of her hair condition and how feasible it was to remove the color, perhaps a test strand to see what could be done was included in the price.
@@mrparts they don't charge you to look at your hair? At least not in any salon I've ever been to in England. I've never been charged for a patch/strand test either but I suppose they could have changed that in recent years for some inexplicable reason.
@@mydogeatspuke I have seen salons that charge a fee, and then you can use as credit if you decide to book the service. The logic is that an assessment takes time (requires an interview, possibly a strand test and a plan to achieve the result.) and the stylist should be compensated for it.
@@mrparts a booking fee, yes, those are common in many services, but they're usually £20-30 and are refunded if you decide not to receive the service after attending the booking (for example you have an allergic reaction to the chemicals and so cannot proceed with the colouring) and are also deducted from the final charge if you do receive the service. I have never seen any salon charge a strand test fee, let alone a fee of £60, because "it takes time and the stylist deserves to be compensated." It is included as part of the final fee for the service as a whole, because it is necessary to do a test before applying chemicals to a client's head.
For a short time I bleached my undercut and dyed it blue. However, I don't really like the vivid colors so much so I put the blue in the bowl then added grey and silver until it looked like a smokey blue color. I loved that color so much but did not try it all over thank goodness because it's one thing to get rid of color on a short undercut, it's quite another to get it out of the lengths.
This comment isn't about this video but I would love to see hair buddha do his coloring on his clients!!!! Show us your work hair Buddha!!!!! Love your vids!!!
I would spend the “50-60 quid” and have piece of mind. In the end she spent £24 and has a “mousy” tone to her hair but she did do it in the comfort of home. I bet she ends up going to a salon to fix her hair 😊
This would cost so much more than £50/60. The problem is that now if she wants that fixed she’s going to have to pay a salon what it would have cost in the first place
Me too. I had more bad then good. And I even had one that did celebrity hair and she's so expensive and goes down to Miami and ft Lauderdale. I live in Florida and I was so unhappy with how she did my hair. I didn't go back.
My hair has been blue and purple since Aug. 2022 and I am wanting to go green! Ha! You just got to work with the colors and understand what kind of result you will have! I love dying my hair and I havent went to a hairstylist in 7 Years! I do it myself. I want to be hairstylist!
It always amazes me when people baulk at paying salon prices. Going to the hairdressers is something I class as a pampering session. Hair dealt with by someone professionally trained which is reassuring. No messy home diy dyes and bleaches and hair falling out in clumps or hair left like straw, No hideous end result colours. Just sit in comfort at a salon and come out feeling like a new woman. Well worth paying for
I’ve not been to a salon in a very long time but buy professional products and pay my friend to bleach my roots and tone my hair. Saved so much n money and my hair is platinum blonde, thick and healthy. Some salons are just a rip off in my opinion.
@d Excuse me, I was not preaching thank you very much. It was a personal opinion, one in which I am entitled to make, and one that was not a personal insult to others who comment. I am fully aware that many people successfully colour/cut/perm their hair at home just as I am fully aware many cannot afford a salon visit. I have to scrimp and save to pay for an infrequent appointment. It is my small luxury to myself. This channel is a delight. Lets not spoil it by making undue unpleasant comments to individuals. You're in all likelihood a delightful person, your comment to me, however, was unwarranted.
@@fronny5787 I agree with you. I would never spend money in something that I know would end terribly for my hair. I'm not a professional and I don't want to end up having a nasty cut or a nasty color on my hair. I also save money to go to the hairdresser's and, like you said, it's a moment for myself and it's very pleasing. And I'm always reassured that I'm in good hands because I always make sure I go to a high-rated salon. 😊 (PS: I'm a student and if I put some money aside, I can afford going to the hairdresser's. I think it's a question of priorities.)
Of course a salon is best. But it simply is too expensive for many, many people. And yet those same people can afford a simple box of hair dye. So they take a chance. Simple as that.
I personally hate other people messing with my hair and sitting in a salon for hours. I always dye my hair at home but I use safe colors aka not blue, maybe red or orange or purple, colors you don't fail with xD
Ik vind de kleuren blauw roze enzo zo mooi maar danzij u video's Hair Buddah , koop ik gewoon pruiken voor de dagen dat ik een speciaal kleurtje wil hebben 🫠😘
😂😂 wow I honestly used to make some pretty bad mistakes when I was YOUNGER. But I’ve grown and learned that I can not do my own hair bc I don’t have that much knowledge about it. Also, my hair is REALLY hard to turn. Don’t know why. Seems like any time I’ve ever tried to dye it blonde on my own it wouldn’t ever turn that right color I wanted. It takes a few sessions for my hair and I have light brown almost dirty blonde hair now as an adult. When I was young I had darker brown hair. So now if I want blonde hair to highlights I go to the salon. Lol
I went copper red at home, and it still cost me $100. Unnatural hair color maintenance is expensive & labor intensive! That being said, it’s completely worth having fun hair. 😂
Guru- I have level 3 roots and balayaged ends. I am going to be doing blonde myself at home soon. Figured I'd start weatching bleach fails again =D and you are right its way more expensive than we think to do it at home because you run out of product or you mess up and have to buy something else to fix it. I'd rather go to a professional and have it done but i am not working at the moment.
I gotta be proud of her. She's taking fine sections..finer smaller sections and going slow. But she does need to work a little faster. But I think she's doing fairly well
I'm sure glad I stick with same red and black colour and brand. I use 10 vol developer and cream type dye tube mixed with the developer. So hopefully that's good.
I made up a Vo5 silver Lemmon oil olive oil and tree tee oil concoction as I was going to play around with the ph of dermal and hair at home applications before the Unthinkable happened
It’s frustrating that box dyes sell lies really. I saw her hair and when she said the cost I knew she would end up paying more in reparation than the cost of it being done properly
I had wanted to dye my hair blue so bad because it's my favorite color but I somehow stopped myself and after watching these videos I am so glad that I didn't dye my hair blue.
Friendly reminder that you can buy actually temporary hair color! It comes in sprays, pastes, waxes, and chalks! You can even find it in the supermarket, like Colorista hair color spray. These temporary ones truly wash out when you shampoo your hair. Personally, I'd just get a wig if I wasn't sure I'd keep the color for long. They can find a cheaper wig comparable to what they'd spend on products anyway. I've seen decent ones with 4.5/5 stars on Amazon for as cheap as $40. Similar to the temporary color spray, you can buy the root touch up spray if you need a natural color. Buy a few cans if you need to cover a hair disaster in a pinch.
If I get a client like that, with so much chemical damage and a resistant color in her hair. I’d pull out the pieces I want to make blonde, then I’d fill the rest with orange and then put a light neutral brown over it. When that’s done, I’d just bleach the highlights then color or tone them depending on how they came out. The highlighted look would have the natural summer look she wants but in a more realistic way.
For about 5 years now i dye my hair black on the top half (regrowth only) with box dye and bottom half i dye blue every 2 months. Once a year i go to the hairdresser to bleach the black to get half of my hair blue again. But they also always rebleach the blue that is still in it. Would it be better to only dye the black part and leave the blue part alone? I don't know what volume they use but i usually sit there with the bleach in my hair for 2,5 to 3 hours (black box dye is hard to bleach), but i would rather not bleach those blue ends again if not neccesary... i have very fine hair and not a lot of it, but i always take good care of it, so it feels healthy. But would there be a better option?
Use a demipermanent instead of box dye maybe? And yes, bleach only that middle section so the ends aren't bleached a hundred times before you cut them.
What was she thinking, omg!! She should have known what was going to happen. I alternate between 2 colors, light brown in winter, dark blonde in summer...and leave it at that. No worries!
She died is blue one week before. My guess is she has a very boring and anxiety filled life and needed something to do. I say this because when I was young, that is what I used to do.
1. Dye it dark to match the roots OR 2. Go to a salon and pay professionals to get the blonde you wanted and save your hair. 3. Finally......each choice will require a haircut in the near future. The hair will be damaged. The ends are matted due to chemical overprocessing.
Oh my goodness, these full episodes really are much better to watch than the shorties, and maybe you can go on holiday with the TH-cam income. I haven't the foggiest how that works, but your reactions are hysterical and the hair fiascos these gals get themselves into are clever or sad.
See when I color my hair I try to think of what colors I plan on in a row. Like first red then blue then green. I also let it fade a ton before I color again.
I had green hair a few years ago (I also have green hair now - many times & a long time) Green hair or faded green (like blue hair with bleaching) is so difficult to get out or get away with that. It was a faded green & I dyed it dark brown - almost black & it was a mixture of blonde, gold, green & brown. So the green will definitely come back soon & it will look like my hair was.
I can't believe she refused to pay £50 to £60!! That is dirt cheap for here in the UK. I pay £250 for a full head of highlights and a cut. There is no colour correction required for me as I stick with my blonde tones - sometimes warmer tones and sometimes cooler, but always blonde. My hair is in great condition, looks lovely and feels lovely. I know not everyone can afford £250, but years ago when I was a student I used to get my hair done in the training salon at my local college of further education, all they charge for is the cost of the materials - almost every salon offers cut price "model" nights too when their juniors do their training sessions. I just don't understand why so many people take chances using chemical concoctions on their hair that they are not trained to use and have no understanding of.
I can’t get over how expensive it is 😱 I considered going blonde once and then when I realised the cost and maintenance it would require I decided to stay brunette 😂
I’d rather have a professional do my hair but for some reason every time I go to the salon my hair breaks off or clumps come out. I don’t understand because when I bleach my own roots I never lose any hair. I think they overlap too much. I say no overlap and they still go an inch or two further. When I do my own hair I only do it right to where the blonde starts..Or else it’s the foils. Idk but I have extreme anxiety about going to hairdressers now lol. Some people do their own hair at home because they keep having bad experiences at the salon.
I’ve had blue hair for 3 years it always fades so fast but I’ve heard it’s hard to get out and stains idk when I’m going to the color but not any time soon. I use to change my hair every month and it ended up falling off and I learned not to change it as much and to not put permanent color or it because if I would want to change it I’ll will be a mission and I love my long hair. I had to have a bob for years cause of the damage now after I stopped messing with my hair it is passed my shoulders.
The blue colour looks strong like shes just redone it. I wouldve waited til it was washed out as much as possible first! Every time i have done blue, my hair was super short so growing it out/cutting it off was easier.
I have naturally black hair and I have dyed it dark brown and it is been 5 years now so the color is all way in the ends how can I restore my hair all the natural color with out dying it ? Please advise me I have fine thin hair 😢
I used Pulp Riot blues for two years, and literally just told the salon i waa going to let it fade for two months, and then come in for the transition to blonde. They used a color remover and olaplex, and bam, i was blonde. It was getting pink out of my hair that took a year. 😅
I have never bleached or dyed my hair, ageing myself "59" have always wanted something different but don't want roots grow out or be stuck to not have them.
after all these hair ruining videos online I am shocked people still do this at home and then are shocked at their ruined hair. that is the most likely scenario when bleach is involved. at the same time I don't really want them to stop because watching these fails is somehow very entertaining 😅
For that price i would've gone to the hairdresser lol. I pay $230-$300 AU to get my roots done, it takes a long time. But i've recently gone back to doing the roots myself and getting a nice violet toner from my hairdresser and i love it.

Scary.
It is only 10:21 AM, but my day is now complete. I'm glad to get some Monday relief, Hair Buddha. Have a great day, Hair Buddha and friends. 🌞❤🌈
I think the best remedy is 'don't paint your hair blue'. Buy blue wig and put it on whenever you want. It's so much easier to remove well blended to your skin and glued wig than blue from your hair.
A wig is not the same as ur own hair

Oh the tangled web we weave when we decide to bleach on top of bleach.
She had good gloves and I applaud that. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Nope !!! I’d rather pay to have it done lol
Love Hair Buddha and his reactions 😅 ❤️😘
💜🥰🤩🤗
That is one brave woman!
@@cbryce9243 You’d think if she lived with her parents she’d care MORE because it’s not her property 😂
Hair Budda I lovely your program, and the Tik Tok oooh!!!😂😂😂
I'd bet that "50 pounds" quote was just for the consult, and maybe a test strand, so the stylist could determine exactly what needed doing, and provide a real quote.
I’m not paying $75 for a consultation and test strand. That’s insane, it’s 15 minutes of work (processing time you’re with another client)
Omg, I ❤ the tiny skulls in the background.
I love them too
@@hair-buddha You need to get yourself an Alexander McQueen skull scarf, you'd rock it!! Love mine, I get so many compliments when I wear it - I love a bit of gothic glamour. 💀💀💀
Totally enjoy you and your posts. I've been a Cosmetologist since the early 80's.
"At the end, you will loose more money" soooo true and I've personnally experienced this over the years. Just the bleach, a good bleach, is expensive but really makes a difference
Hello , Hair Buddah love your travel and hair videos. Want to wish you and your family a blessed Easter..
After watching these videos I now appreciate just how fortunate we are in the UK with how much hairdressers charge for their skills. I pay £60 for blond highlights, grey toners and a trim with a Curly blow. I'd probably have to get a loan for my hair done elsewhere 😂
Omg that is such a good deal. In Canada one has to pay $150 to $200 dollars
Really?! Where I am that would cost about £150 if not more
Dunno where you are 🤣 but hair by Josef charges me that and he is amazing 🤩
@@lesleyjackson2750 I’m in the South East so that might be why 😂
Oh gosh yes it will probably be location . I am up North Inbetween Liverpool and Manchester
I love these reaction videos. Girls wanna experiment with our hair & hair disasters are just a right of passage. 💚💚💚
This isn't even over and I'm screaming at my phone "don't use a box dye!"
You can't even get a simple full head bleach for £60, let alone a colour correction from blue. It's certainly possible (and likely) that she misrepresented the situation when obtaining a quote.
She asked for a "consultation ". I'm sure they'll TALK to her for 50 pounds.
Absolutely no way is that a 50 pound job. She misunderstood.
@@nineteenfortyeight I was thinking the same thing and I wonder if it was for a consult.
This would cost so much more than £50/60. The problem is that now if she wants that fixed she’s going to have to pay a salon what it would have cost in the first place
Wow from Blue to Blond😲All I Think of is not Quick Blue or Coconut oil! Thanks for Sharing your just Bleached My Blue Monday💙☺
I'm beginning to think that these girls are practicing a form of self-harm when they do this. 😢
Yes. Indeed, they do.
There does seem to be an element of emotional distress when many of them grab the bleach/scissors.
They do. This is not normal
Ive literally never left a salon happy. Ive even had a celebrity stylist.
Lol
Every time he says "blonde" with that accent, I feel soo majestic (as a blonde), haha :D
The way some people brush their hair hurts my soul
I gotta be proud of her. She's taking fine sections..finer smaller sections and going slow. But she does need to work a little faster. But I think she's doing fairly well
lol ive always called her end result a swampy blonde!
Trying to find the silver linings, failing miserably. Man, you're savage. How can you say green blond?????? There's no such color ...... Jeez
I'm sure glad I stick with same red and black colour and brand. I use 10 vol developer and cream type dye tube mixed with the developer. So hopefully that's good.
7:26 You're right - and it's not just limited to hair color 🤷♀️
Omg watching her tear her tangles apart was painful! People are so rough with their hair.
No £50( pounds)is just for a consultation not to actually bleach the hair 😊
Yeah, I was just thinking that even ten years ago when I had my sirfer-type hair bleached it was definitely over £100.
This. Silly woman asked for a consultation, was told it costs 50 quid, and inferred that a specialist color job is free with purchase.
The $72 was for a consult, if I'm not mistaken. And I find it much more comfortable to have someone else do it!
What would you suggest to apply on it to correct the green tone? For exemple, if you put on a level 7, would you put 7.4? Even 7.5 perhaps?
For every brand is it different. But I would go for a gold brown with some copper/red.
I'd use 7.3 gold
That would be 250$ minimum USD.
Edit * love when he says oh my GAUGHTTT 😂
@@cbryce9243 I totally agree with you. I was about 39 the first time I colored my hair, I guess I was a color virgin up til then, lol.
1. Dye it dark to match the roots
OR
2. Go to a salon and pay professionals to get the blonde you wanted and save your hair.
3. Finally......each choice will require a haircut in the near future. The hair will be damaged. The ends are matted due to chemical overprocessing.
Hello go for red. buy a 6. 6 diarichesse .use 6 volume and 6. 86 melted with 6 vol on top .(natural regrows at a professional strore
4:58 aarghh that crunch sound when she separated the hair 😖
The pastel minty color looks nice on her imo
Omg that lite green was beautiful. I would have died the roots and to make it all same color
11:23 😱 it's safe to say we care more about this chick's hair than she does! 😆
I love your channel . 😊
The blue colour looks strong like shes just redone it. I wouldve waited til it was washed out as much as possible first!
Every time i have done blue, my hair was super short so growing it out/cutting it off was easier.
Правильно объясняете.
Круто, нравится этот формат видео)
I have naturally black hair and I have dyed it dark brown and it is been 5 years now so the color is all way in the ends how can I restore my hair all the natural color with out dying it ?
Please advise me I have fine thin hair 😢
I used Pulp Riot blues for two years, and literally just told the salon i waa going to let it fade for two months, and then come in for the transition to blonde. They used a color remover and olaplex, and bam, i was blonde.
It was getting pink out of my hair that took a year. 😅
I'm gonna bleach my own hair this month. I hope hair buddha reacts to it 🤞
11:00 oh my lorddddd the way she’s RIPPING those knots out I can’t watch 🙈
My mind automatically translating the title of the video From blue to blond to " From blue to green" 🤣🤣🤣👌
Omg when she said she just dyed it last week. 🤦♀️
Why not make sure to get enough. If you have longish hair, 1 box is never enough! Especially if you want to saturate your sections.
What I have learned from you throughout most of your videos is to be prepared to mess up my hair if I bleach it myself. Got to a salon!
Poor girl..she's not very organised!!! Poor Hair Buddha..I feel your pain 😂 xx
For that price i would've gone to the hairdresser lol. I pay $230-$300 AU to get my roots done, it takes a long time. But i've recently gone back to doing the roots myself and getting a nice violet toner from my hairdresser and i love it.
