Thank you! The Alicia voice isn't the best, but I wanted to keep it as more of a nostalgic point from the previous version. Interestingly I've found it harder to produce models for female voices, perhaps because of a difference in the actual diffusion datasets? Not sure the reason, but it's a shame. That being said I've made some better ones since then, a few of which are up on my patreon, but like I said, for this vid I was keen to keep the old version as a call back.

- Vandire, the High Ecclesiarch, was a paranoid and megalomaniacal leader who controlled the Imperium with an iron fist.
- He discovered a small cult of women known as the Daughters of the Emperor who devoted their lives to worshipping the Emperor.
- Vandire orchestrated a plan to gain their trust by faking a miracle, and they became his personal bodyguards, renamed the Brides of the Emperor.
- Vandire's reign of terror reached its peak, and he became increasingly unhinged, ordering the execution of millions for suspected heresy.
- A humble preacher named Sebastian Thor emerged, teaching compassion and mercy, and formed the Confederation of Light, a reformist sect opposed to Vandire's rule.
- Vandire sent a fleet to destroy Thor and his followers, but a warp storm intervened, saving them and further boosting their popularity.
- The Confederation and Vandire's forces clashed in a civil war that threatened to destroy the Imperium.
- A Custodian of the Adeptus Custodes intervened, convincing Vandire's bodyguard, Alysia Dominica, and her sisters to abandon him.
- Alysia denounced Vandire as a traitor and returned to her old ways as the Daughters of the Emperor.

Sounds about right. You only left out the fact that the sisters were on a backwards kind of world, and Van dire easily made them think of him as holy, protected by the Emperor, by using a simple refraction shield.
Also, to make them see sense, Custodes had to allow the leading sister was to see the Emperor on the gold throne.
After that, she fastly went to her powerhungry, paranoid holy saint pretender, and rather abruptly ended his, too busy to die, self important delusion, for which millions payed with their lives..
The certainty of a zealot must feel nice. To be so sure about everything, that it only takes a literal visit to your God, to be convinced that you are actually ignorant of the truth..
I mean, just imagine your whole ordos started with this kind of herecy. Yet, after how many decades of war for a pretender, you just execute him, and go back to being the exemplar of blind faith.. Which is the highest moral ground in this upside down universe..
It’s really surprising to hear that battle sisters were able to hold back space marines, power scaling in Warhammer blows my mind sometimes lol
The take away from the power gap, is as impossibly strong the Marines are, faith is stronger.
The Marines have splintered faith in the emperor and also the absolute best tech, but the sisters have complete faith and really don't need any tech when you have literally God on your side.
I mean to be fair, they have very similar equipment, and their training is supposed to lift them up to about the limit of what a non-modified human can achieve. With that being said there is a large element of narrative fudgery for this story, and as you say, the power scaling is incredibly inconsistent.

@@Scholarslore I guess their extreme faith is that spicy x-factor to get them some big wins. The more I think about it as well, it’s exciting to know that unexpected things can happen.
Chances are they were holding back to a degree given they probably knew the Sisters were being manipulated too. Otherwise, they'd have damn sure never tried to negotiate with them and ESPECIALLY NEVER brought them before the Emperor himself on his throne if the Custodes had any possible reason to think they were true heretics like the one they were taking heretical orders from.

I cover his story a little bit in the Grey Knights origin vid, but it would be good to put the rest of his character out as a dedicated project (especially now that the horus heresy has finished and we have a more complete understanding of his final days)

Back in the 1990's, the creator of the comic book series Ninja High School did a comic book mini series, Warrior Nun Ariella.
Marvel Comics also did a short run series around the late 1980's to early 1990's called Sisterhood Of Steel in which a nation of mercenary warrior women had a sect of ninja-like assassin priestesses known as the Daughters Of Death.

No. When they first visited the Emperor, those that were in his presence got some mental blast that revealed the truth from the Emperor and turned their hair white which they interpreted as the Emperor blessing them. Hence many Sisters of Battle that came later dye their hair to honor the original ones who stood before the Emperor.

Why their hair is always white?
First, you are wrong, All sisters of Battle regardless of their particular Order or Chamber, are members of the Adeptas Sororitas.
Secondly, the records of the Brides of the Emperor go back further than van Dire, and to say that the Sororitas only began then is sophistry.
I gave you a pass on the Tau because as an imperial mouth piece of course you maliciously misinterpreted things, and just didn't have the clearance for others.
But the Sisters of Battle are an important everyday crutch of the Imperium.
I never said that the sister of battle are "not" a part of the Adepta Sororitas, just that the titles do not mean the same thing.
All the sources I read pointed to the original cult which would go on to become the sisters, were named as the Brides by Vandire, but there wasn't much of anything about their previous days as the Daughter's of the Emperor. For the sake of brevity I chose to not include a long section about their supposed involvement in the sabbat wars, since that side of the lore isn't concrete. I feel that you are conflating a small piece, which has been written by GW in an intentionally vague way, as being gospel, to which this seems an overreaction to.
You also seem to be skipping over the fact that I said that their cult existed before Vandire? I never claimed he founded them, only that he was informed of their presence upon San Leor.
You don't have to "give me a pass", but I don't choose to maliciously inject my own interpretations of things into the lore. What I write about comes from the physical codices and rule books which are sitting on my desk.
Nevertheless, there is no need to be upset at this.
