Unlucky dude. I think this board can be saved, the water damage isn't horrendous, but it does look like those ribbon cables might need to be replaced. Will try and join the stream tommorrow 👍
@@JoeyDoesTech, Stez is right that there's still hope - we're at a point where many would've waved the white flag, but we're Team Joey and won't give in too easily. I think it's going to be a lot of track and trace (not the NHS app...) following and individual component testing. i agree. i doesn;t look bad, especially since you had two very common power errors with the charging light (flash on and then turn off; flashing orange)
neverthought about this, but you might've needed to replace the whole battery daughter board thing, because the console doesn't need the charger to run. hope this helps in some way
That's to bad mate! But don't be too sad, it was very liquid damaged after all and sometimes it can happen that cleaning it makes it worse. But I am happy that with my suggestion on fuses, I made you learn to check them always! Great video anyways!
Hi thanks for another great video i fell like i learn alot from watching these plus i have a laugh as well. Was wondering what soldering iron you use?? I have only attempted minor repairs my self on iphones/ipads and tablets but would like to get more in to consoles. the iron looks ideal for a beginner like me as the tips so small. I have read that there is another fuse called E2 located on one side of the charge center, perhaps replacing it solves the problem.
