I have the G920 (XBox Gamers) As a mod I installed an Open Wheel and rebuilt the brake. Remove the black rubber buffer, close the hole in the lower sleeve with a screw and hot glue, place a thin round rubber seal in the outer groove of this sleeve and grease it well. As a result, the air in the sleeve can no longer escape and the further you press the pedal, the more resistance you have. To do this, glue a thin layer of felt (maximum 1mm thick) to the gear rail of the wheel and grease it well. This reduces the "play" between the gears of the FFB motors and the gear rail and plastic does not hit plastic. The clatter of the wheel does not come from the gears, but from the gear rail. With the felt layer, the wheel can hardly be heard... Sorry, i'm a german guy and my english is not very good!!!😉 But you have one more Abo...😊
Like you said, have the right tools on hand and go slow during this installation process. I can see how this is a huge improvement for the braking feel and performance. Well done tutorial and review. like 159
I have both the G920 and G923. Right out of the box the G923 has a much better brake pedal feel than the G920. The 920 requires more effort compared to the 923. So I gave the 920 to my son, lol.
just for your information @ 4:55 the loose cable is actually the ground important if you don't wanna get an electric shock. I can imagine it could be quite distracting if you are getting shocked when braking to turn at the apex of a tight corner. hehe
LOAD Cell - Thanks for the video. I have the spring MVH and that was a big improvement over the original spring. My lap times in games reduced by as much as 2secs so definitely worth.
'LOADCELL' ;) Great review. One small correction though. You are able to do the calibration on console, with any of the Codemasters F1 or Dirt rally games. Those have an option in the settings to let you visualize the pedal outputs. The calibration result works on GT7 as well afterwards.
LOAD CELL got mine today they only have 1 adjustment screw now and it comes with the variable spring included, great video will be using it to install mine
This is an amazing upgrade. I have a Thrustmaster T3PA-Pro, and would like a load cell brake, but $160 US fir an uograde kit is about 2/3 in CND that I would pay for a brand new load cell pedal set, and that doesn't include the shipping to Canada or any customs charges. I think when I am ready, I'll just upgrade my pedals, maybe to a higher end brand instead.
I would definitely consider doing the true brake mod for $70. The cost of upgrading to a load cell is approaching the "buy new pedals" territory. Its good for console players who have fewer options though.
How do you like this compared to the TrueBrake v2.2 from AXC Sim? I am looking to get a "load cell brake" mod for my G923. The potentiometer based brake is okay, it works, but I like the idea of it feeling more realistic.
"load cell" is definetly on my radar now, along with that spring. i love my g29, i know there's better systems, but for the price point and community/aftermarket support, i dont see why one would need to rush into more expensive or complicated units. Not knocking DDs...Lord knows i want one, but im not rushing things to get it, so thanks for yet more thing to help improve my exp with it!
Can you replace the pedal tops? Like the steel part where you put your feet? They don’t seem very realistic and look like they could be replaced with flat pedals
At $170 AUD for the kit and shipping, it's about half the price of TLCM. If you're able to spend $170 on a mod, then you can likely spend another $170 on propper LC pedals.
But if I want the best of the best feeling. Is it better to get the True Brake or the MVH Load Cell for Logitech G29 on PC and not considering the price and warranty.
I was literally thinking about getting this (or the TrueBrake V2), perfect timing! I like how the G Pro Pedals have full customisability, as well as obviously being load cell but can't get them. In the meantime, I'm 100% getting these. Thanks for the video. 'Load Cell'
I've got the TrueBrake. I have to say that by the looks of it the TB is easier to install. It has much less movement in the pedal and works with pressure rather than movement. It's also cheaper. Just to give you something else to think about.
Load Cell. Btw can you do a mash up ver like G29 Pedals with the G Pro Wheels? Logitech recently released the G Hub module and it suppose to allow you to mix older hardware like the G29/923 parts and shifter to the G Pro system. And it works on console.
Does the load cell mod remove all the brake pedal dead zone that was created by logitech for the g29 brake pedal? I have heard that the g29 brake pedal has a large dead zone at the end because of the rubber stopper. Does installing this load cell mod remove all of these issues?
With the MVH kit, the stock Logitech rubber stopper is gone, allowing you access to the full throw of the brake pedal (equal to the throttle or clutch). From there, you add or omit parts from the MVH kit to get the pedal stiffness you want. (Some configurations are so stiff you might not be able to reach full throw.) Finally, you use the screw on the control box to adjust how much pressure counts as "full brake", which you can adjust to coincide with the full throw.
Is there a trick to get the pedal screws flush? Mine sticks out a good mm on the throttle and I cannot get it flush mainly because the screw is off-axis to the countersink.
Another awesome upgrade from MVH, but..... Can someone tell me if this works perfectly with the G920 on ALL games on the Xbox Series-X ??? Thanks in Advance for Any Help / Info !!
LOAD CELL. - nice video. I just bought a used G29 that I bought for ! $100 US nd it is my first wheel/peddle combo. I’m coming from using motion controls on Dual sense with GT7. Obviously, Im hooked! My plan is to start with this and eventually upgrade. So your video was intriguing, but I have to admit I don’t mind the brakes as is. Possibly due to having no frame of reference. So I don’t know if I wan 102 US on this kit if I’m going to upgrade at some point. What I think I might do is to get a variable spring as that seems fairly inexpensive and could provide a benefit I don’t yet realize I need yet. Make sense?
I'm gonna try here, as MVH haven't answered my question, hence no purchase yet. You say that it's the only load cell that works on GT Sport and GT7 (and I guess, therefore, earlier titles), but you also say it can't be calibrated on console. So how do you guarantee that you can get 100% braking on these titles without the ability to adjust? Sorry for the essay!
@@GeekStreet You actually can see the adjustments in GT7 when you go to configure and calibrate your pedal set. You can adjust the dead zone in GT7 as well as what will be the max outer dead zone. I did this with my G29 brake pedal (the huge "dead zone" I call before you hit the rubber that I can't feel how much I pressed and it already hits to like 50-60% of brake in game) I configured the dead zone so that game ignores the input of the pedal until I actually start feeling force, meaning touching the rubber... That's where 0% starts and then I press as hard as I can until the game reads "100%". It kind of work as I can now pressure brake and KIND OF feel the braking but it's not something I imagine getting used to as there is not much I can work with there, the rubber is not good enough for proper pressure feedback and i'm pretty sure its not as proper consistent.
I'm confused. You say "50 kilogram load cell" and yet you can move it with your hand easily as if there isn't even 1 kilo of pressure? Does it actually have 50 kilogram of pressure and I assume it also can be lowered?

So you are saying if you spend double the money you get something similar but it wont work on consoles with a Logitech wheelbase. Aha.
Also not to mention if you want to use this on console you can't exactly mix and match pedals
It really is situational and depends on what you actually paid for it to begin with.

what is better, the axc sim true break or this one?

how much force do you have to use to press down the normal brake pedal? Is 50kg much? also, what do the rubber dampeners do?
15kg is too much

If you're going stay with the Logitech G29 and not upgrade it's worth it but not if you are planning to upgrade as no point then.
