He is probably the easiest swing coach to listen to. Clear, concise, well articulated. A really great instructor that inspires confidence.
Appreciate the kind words and support! Thank you!
First video I’ve seen. He is excellent in how he explains concepts.
@@acefromspace2727 Yes, I agree. There is much to be gained from him. In fact I believe that people should just stick with his instruction and not end up being confused by watching numerous others.
Eric, this is quite brilliant because there are so many gems and so little trade jargon packed into this video. I spent $3000 on a 5-day class with a man I consider to be a fraud, Martin Chuck, but was never shown "the slot" for a driver as opposed to a seven iron. You did it for free at 1:14/13:58. That's terrific information because the driver swing plane is a) flatter than the short-iron plane and b) it must be accompanied by a torso tilt away from the target.
In order to hit a round-ball square, I look at the back of the ball with a driver and I focus one imaginary ball in front of the golf ball with a short-iron. I want the lowest part of my swing to be in the middle of my stance with the driver; whereas the lowest part of my swing should be in front of the ball, when it is in the middle of my stance, with a short-iron.
There's more to it than that, but the information on swing plane is the plane truth.
great Eric...i think what we could also is a video showing how to switch back and forward between driver and irons..hit driver with your more around swing and then next swing upright with an iron
Thanks!!
Best teacher on TH-cam by a mile ! I was going to quit after getting to single figures , Eric’s tips have changed my game !
👊So glad the videos have helped! Appreciate your support!
Okay so my driver has been left in my car for 3 months, saw this video today and had to go and try, wow, it's back, I was just far too steep with it. Game changer for me. Thanks for the video!
Lets go!! Love to hear that!!
This drill/tip/lesson was game changer for my swing. I’m exactly what you described- I’m pretty good with my short irons but longer clubs, not so much/lousy. Not just swinging around body but I made sure not to have my hands go beyond my shoulder (which I tend to do). Best range session since forever. Looking forward to using on course. Thanks for great video session on this
So glad this one was helpful, Norman! Our pleasure!
I'm a very active 'in shape' 64 year old. I'm a 3rd year golfer with a handicap in the high teens. I could NOT HIT THE BIG STICK, until I viewed and practiced the drills in this video. I've viewed no less that 25 videos on TH-cam specifically related to 'not being able to hit my driver'. This is the ONLY VIDEO that helped me hit...the big stick. Thank you so much Eric!!!! 😉⛳👍
Love to hear this!!
Eric you're really a phenomenal coach. I've watched golf TH-cam for years trying to find solutions, and you're the first coach to truly fix a lot of my game. Good stuff man
Thanks Cole! Love to hear of the improvements---really appreciate the kind words and support!
You certainly touched on all of my swing problems. This is the most thorough and properly explained hint I have ever seen. Over the years I have had moments of satisfaction with my driver, followed by periods of frustration. I understand everything you said. Thank you.
Glad this one was helpful, John!👊
I watched this video earlier last week after I watched it I got excited, as I KNEW, my high arch swing was a cause to my swing that I wasn't aware off. I just got back from the range and am elated right now, as I was crushing balls straight and to the left. As a right handed golfer with a nasty slice, I'm okay with my ball drawing a bit as it's progress. I'm excited for my next round and to be hitting fairways. Thank you!
Excellent tutorial Eric. Very informative and easy to follow. I’ve been playing for 35 years and love watching these videos. For those of you just getting started, follow this man. Don’t ever stop being a student of this game. Every day, round, and swing is a learning opportunity. I’m 50 and learn every way watching instructors like Eric. Keep up the good work.
👊Appreciate your support, Brad! Thanks for being here with us!
Excellent lesson coach! Love it! For me it was the Hank Haney drill that worked to get my driver swing path fixed. This is exactly the same, but broken down and simplified. Love it!
Love that! Thank you! Haney routine great to fix the slice!!
I use the headcover under my right armpit, forces me to create more depth, especially with the driver. Currently at .8, MILES of improvement ahead. You're a huge influence!
👊
Appreciate you being here with us!
Love your content and the way you explain things so easily. This drill has helped me stop coming down too steep with my driver, what a difference it's made. Thanks a lot!
Love to hear that! Appreciate it!
Another masterpiece tip that has helped with my dispersion on the course. My driver has become tighter in off center strikes. You are the best instructor on TH-cam without a doubt. Eric you make learning simple for weekend players.
So glad this one helped, Dan! Appreciate your kind words and support!
Where has this channel been my whole life. Great tips and drills. Doesn’t over complicate things. Thanks!!
Appreciate ya :)
This sums up my "old" swing, good with irons (compression) steep with driver. Tried this whole process last night on the course and hit more good drives than bad ones - very clear instructon and great results - probably the best short video I have seen for a while - thank you Eric. Now not dreading pulling out the driver
Appreciate the kind words James! Glad to hear of the good results!!
This was the best golf advice I ever got on TH-cam. Thank you, sincerely
Glad to hear this!
I haven’t used that drill in probably 15 + years. It’s the reason I always had a nice draw to my drive. Now my good ones are slightly fading.
The Inside Approach was the product I used to use for it. I really must get back to that drill. Thank you!
👊
Hope this one helps your game!
Very happy to hear the word "depth". Too many of us think wide and not deep. Since I have been working on depth in my swing for about a month now, I was able to pick up more yards and more consistent accuracy.
Love this, Dennis!
Thank you so much for sharing this training video. I'm looking forward to trying this drill. I will keep you posted
You got it---hope it helps!
This is a great lesson. You’re way of explaining the swing is very concise and understandable. Best driver lesson I’ve seen, thank you.
I appreciate those kind words!
I have shared this video with my friend who's struggling with his swing. I believe this will help. Thanks Eric.
Appreciate it Agus!!
Great stuff and very practical. Gonna work on this one right after the getting off my right side video. The later video included the best swing sequence information that I have received and I have been playing for 20 years. Even in slow-mo my right toe turns around and points towards target naturally for the first time. Thank you.
Thanks Timothy! Glad this one was helpful!
Never watched your videos really before this, but this is definitely where I struggle and you’ve made this so simple. Will definitely be trying this at the range tonight. Thanks 👍
Appreciate it man---hope it helps ya!
This is the best and most informative session I have had on driver swing, I have been seriously struggling with my driver and now I know how to fix it. Thank you.
Hope it serves you well!👊
I’ve been watching golf TH-cam videos for years .. they took me from an 11 handicap to a 16 handicap too much information..
Except for your videos, which I’m glad I found.
This video is exactly my Problem..
I Swing Driver too vertically..
Gonna work on your drill..
Keep ya posted..
Thx for your guidance..
😎🏌️♂️👍
Our pleasure, Jaycee! Hope it serves you well!
Hi Eric, I've been using a swing thought lately that makes the around swing described in your video very easy. This really goes back to some of your previous videos, which describe the feel of using the lead side outside seam, of your pants, to trigger the downswing. I asked you once if this same feel might also be used to trigger the backswing and you said that it might be worth trying. I decided to revisit this idea and found a modification that works like magic to produce the shape of swing and hip action that you are describing.
All I have to do is set up with both fee splayed outwards about 20 degrees. This setup also splays the centers of my thighs outwards. Instead of thinking about the outside seams of my pants, I focus on where the front creases of my pants are (or would be if they had creases). I use this "Crease Trigger" move with the trail leg to get my entire trail side turning back to the top of the swing. The same simple feel with the lead side crease takes care of the through swing. The result of all this, is a very repeatable and centered coiling and uncoiling, of the entire body.
I like it Dave! If Im visualizing correctly what you are saying that makes perfect sense
@@CogornoGolf Thanks for the inspiration Eric. I love the swing mantra that I can use with this swing...CREASE GREASE...CREASE GREASE. The word GREASE applies to the feel of the smooth moves of the right and then left shoulder blades behind, when cranked consecutively, by the right and then left splayed centers of the thighs. Ten % speed increase with every club, great contact and direction...what's not to like?
Hello from Indonesia! liked your videos because you give on of the best concise and clear instruction on this driver-iron problem! and also some logic on the techniques makes me understand better about my swing. Thank you!
Appreciate the kind words and support!!
Thanks Eric! I always make progress ingraining my feels when you teach lessons using obstacles like the basket/rod. All the best for your continued success.
Thank you! Me too----love them for my own swing and students. Good to hedge your bet I've found with a practice station to confirm/find feels to stay neutral with whatever we are working on
BROOOOOOO!!!! Drive Achievement Unlocked!! This was the missing piece for me. Good ones were 300+ carry with a nice draw. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Fantastic to hear, Zach!! Our pleasure!
The only key that has ever worked to prevent my slices and weak fades. Pros can shallow the club in downswing; most amateurs can’t. It may be necessary to shorten your swing arc, but a straight ball flight makes up for the difference.
Pros for sure shallow the club better and CLOSE THE CLUB FACE better
And that combo eliminates the slice!
Wow, great Driver drill and explanation. I've been playing for a very long time, 8 hcp, and just practicing this driver drill the last couple days has helped tremendously, I'm making better contact. Thank you.
Love to hear this! Thanks for watching!
Omg thank you eric! I have such a good iron and 5 hybrid swing. But couldnt consistantly hit my driver for the life of me. Ive watched every video possible. Did the body tilt, set up with the club head to liftup and not down. Everything.... Turns out my issue was my vertical approach. I focused more on a "horizontal" swing and now im making consistant contact. Now i just gotta keep practicing to control my direction. Thank you so much
Glad this one helped, Joseph!
Glad to see other golf teachers share this process because it works...Paul Wilson has been helping golfers with this same concept for years
👊Hope this one serves you well, Paul!
@@CogornoGolf it does, keep helping golfers learn this great game. It more fun when taught in a way that makes it simple and quick for someone to see the results to keep them engaged. All that tilt, compress blah blah blah can go over one's head.
Great lesson. I’ve been struggling with the driver for a long time. Hands behind and lower than shoulders really work for me. Thanks
Thank you, Janet! Hope this one helps!
Hi Eric. Just caught up with this. Made a real difference for me out on the course today. My best ever driving, straight down the middle.
Love to hear it, Devon!
Tried this drill today … My slice is GONE and I hit consistent 280 yards . Thanks my friend- the best Golf Coaching Video that Ive seen
Love to hear this!
I think I found the answer to my question that has eluded me since I started playing golf almost 30 years ago!
Love it!
Fantastic instruction and one that I did not understand until I has a lesson with Eric. In 2020, I was a 17 HC and met with Eric or a lesson. I refer back to his instruction every range session. 3 years later my HC is 8.2. Thanks for all of the help Eric!
Good video I've been trying to get rid of my slice and I started lowering my back swing today before I saw this video and I'm going in the right direction. This video just confirmed for me that I'm doing the right things thank you! I'm hitting it straighter now but I need to be more consistent
Love it Dennis!
Excellent advice! I think that this is exactly what I do, and I am going to follow your advice and practice this drill.😊
Thanks Matt! Hope this one helps ya out. Love the stick over the ball drill as its a really really good check to see if your swing path is neutral!
You really touched on what I always doubt on my swing. Most video don’t differentiate between driver and iron swing. Thank you.!
My pleasure Eddie---thanks for watching!
The Best instruction I came across the internet. This is the best thing since HAM & EGGS.....Love it.
Eric, you're a good man
Thank you Eddie! :)
this video is edited so amazingly well. props! gonna go try this out today. i have been getting otherworldly contact on my irons lately, but have struggled in how you transition how you swing as you go up the irons & into the woods-- this is a really great, simple illustration of the change (although i've also been messing with how strong my grip is as i go up the club ladder, which is probably a mistake haha. (been struggling with how much & how to bow wrist changes over this continuum)).
Appreciate that! Will send that along to the team---they are great! Hope this helps you moving forward!
This is the best set of drills that I have tried and I don't even have the problem that you started with. I have always hit driver well. But the "feel" these drills produce is fantastic. They have helped me get a little more height on the ball and about 10 yards longer on the driver. Thank you!
Fantastic to hear, John!!
You just did a video on Cordell Christopher Hadeed (me). What I can do with my irons including 5 iron, my friends dream to do. What they will do with their driver is my wildest dreams.
The other day, I took an 8 iron and pitched a ball in front of an up sloping green, and the ball stopped just at the hole. My friend Nick was amazed and asked me how I did it. He's been playing since he's a kid, and I'm approaching my 8th year.
I'll try this very soon, even practice it home with a shortened stick.
Many thanks, Eric 🎉
Our pleasure!! Hope this serves you well!!
Great vid! Would love the reciprocal advice for someone who hits driver decently (as well as hybrid, 3 wood etc) but struggles with iron contact
Thanks! Good one! They are likely TOO SHALLOW with swing plane and need to learn to get angle of attack more DOWN with shorter clubs.....could be several reasons why that would happen but shouldn't be hard to fix
Ya I'm struggling with my irons as well but can find the sweet spot on my driver effortlessly, then I struggle to hit the green 80 yards out
This is interesting! I’ve been struggling with this and definitely pure my irons but driver is so erratic. Tried getting hands higher and was inconsistent. I’m gonna try this today, last day the course is open for the winter!
Hope this one helps ya man!
My favourite channel by far very simple easy to follow instructions awesome stuff
Appreciate your support, Robert! Thank you!
This video should have over a million views very informative.
Thanks Aaron!!
I really like the way this guy explains things. He answered a lot of the questions I was thinking about.
Appreciate it :)
Hey Eric! My only comment is, sometimes tall guys like myself have a more vertical swing/lift with the arms in front of the chest, rather than horizontal movement across the chest and behind. Davis Love III is a pretty good example of this, even with driver (not including the outliers like Dustin or Bubba who are absurdly high, even with driver). But there are also some guys who aren't overly tall, like Justin Thomas, who also lift a whole lot with the arms, including with driver. Your video with Kevin Roman (?) regarding horizontal vs upright was very enlightening regarding the two basic different backswings. For myself, although I don't lift absurdly high with the driver, I have found great success getting my arms up slightly above my right shoulder, and letting the arms fall blending with the body turn (with some help from Shaun and Mike at AMG, and not unlike your recent video with Trevor). Hitting it more consistent and farther than ever with all clubs, but particularly with driver, since beginning to implement this at the beginning of August. Finally a real weapon for me rather than a liability. And I fully realize there are outliers on both sides of this fence... Cheers! 👍
For sure! Good point....
of course the theory here applies regardless of height....you could be tall and be more upright but still be TOOOOOOO upright and need to feel some more around to find neutral :)
@@CogornoGolf Absolutely, I understand the point of making a different arc with driver vs the irons. And I like the fact that you stated that it's the way the clubs are designed. With all the technology of fitting clubs to people, still have to work with the design and physics!
I needed to find this tutorial! Thank you. I am looking forward to going to the driving range and trying both of these drills.
Hope this one serves you well!
Excellent drill this has really improved my long irons and my driver especially thank you
Love to hear that Dave---our pleasure!!
I love how you explain your concepts. I actually have the reverse problem. I am having trouble with my irons. I have shallowed my driver swing, but now I am struggling with occasionally getting into a rut where I shank my irons. Do you have any videos for that?
Thanks! I think you'll enjoy this one:
th-cam.com/video/B8duKc_lcPQ/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
@@CogornoGolf Thank you so much. That was great!
exactly what i needed ! can work pretty well with irons but can't drive even if it was to save my life ! Thanks again well explained top tier video 👌
Thanks Samuel! Hope this one helps!!
Thanks Eric. Great instruction. I’ve been looking at ways to simplify squaring the clubface and smoking my driver. 👍🏼
Thanks Rob! Hope this one helps ya!!
But you can still swing the handle the same with all the clubs correc
The reason I say this is because I started using the so called Malaska move and I have never hit the ball better and further with this move. It's amazing. The videos with you and Mike are great. I am consistently hitting my driver 275 and straight.I changed my grip and bring the club back square. You did a videob on that as well. It even helps with all pitch shots..changed my game. I take my driver back like you're saying in this video but I bring that handle down like Mike. You have to trust it when you first start but it definitely works. Thanks for the videos and the ones with you and Mike..btw at the range yesterday a golfer had the hanger, I said you watch Eric Cogorno.. he said he did lol
Love to hear of those gains Tom! Yes that's correct!
Thanks!! Your lessons make so much sense.
Hope this one serves you well!
This is a good one. I check a lot of TH-cam videos and one of the things you see is the obsession of somehow flattening you wrists and in this video you see none of that. Even with driver you'll notice there is a small amount of "cupping".
This obsession with flat wrists is difficult for older golfers who already struggle with a full turn let alone adding a FLAT wrist to the equation. In my personal experience you will start missing the ball altogether shanking etc.etc. because you are adding several levels of complexity. Sure, it's the RIGHT way to swing but after years of an imperfect swing it's mightily difficult to right that ship.
👊
Appreciate you watching!
I love this driver drill! Hopefully I don't launch the alignment stick into the range. 🤣
Fingers crossed lol----stay safe out there :)
Well that’s good point. Use a wad of duct tape on the end just in case😂
😂
I’m the luckiest man alive I just struggled with this all week and after hitting balls today my club was open at impact just like he said I didn’t have a drill to fix it so I was just getting more and more frustrated 😢 but now I got it!! Thankful for this channel!! ❤
Lol me too, great tip huh?
I just want to say a big thanks. I played today with this swing thought today. It works!
Love to hear this! Our pleasure!
I will try this drill tomorrow. Thank you
My pleasure Will---thanks for being here with us!
I have recently been struggling with my driver ....had a custom shaft built that is a half an in longer than my 3 wood to start with .....gamechanger .....but still was struggling a touch ....and this was part of my problem ....but to achieve what you are showing ...at 47 years old I had to take my right foot after setting up to the ball and simply step about a half a step back further from the ball ...opened front foot a touch but sliding my back foot about half a step back from what I would call my normal set up really allowed me to get some more turn and hit the ball more from the inside and it makes it a little harder to cast the club at the top if you do this as well....may be a bad habit but for now it's staying cause it really improved my length and accuracy big time
Love it--sounds like you found a good solution for you!
Guy is genius. Simple explanations, great visual demonstrations and makes perfect sense.
Thanks Randy!
Great video. I have the dreaded Slice Disease and hit an occasional shot in the Fairway. Tried the Draw and works occasionally. So, will try ur Drills to see if there is a change for the better. Short Game and long irons are Spot On. I have a love/hate relationship with Driver and sometimes use a 3 Wood on the deck which goes straight.
Thanks Patrick! Hope this one serves you well!👊
Thanks for the video. Very simplistic and excellent and an excellent drill to follow.
Appreciate it Eugene!
Extraordinary video. One of the best I have seen. I will work on it!
thank you!!
Eric thanks for this tip, I will be using immediately, thanks again, God Bless and continued success.
Our pleasure, John! Thanks for watching!
Great drill Eric! I remember you as a high school player at Nazareth, I covered you when I worked for Service Electric sports!
Hey Tom! Thank you---too funny! Seems like yesterday and forever ago at the same time :)
I'll always remember those days and really appreciate everything you did for all of us. I used to LOVE watching the coverage after :)
Hope you are doing well!
Good points. I’d like to add an other point. Let’s assume the player understands how his club is actually designed. Like any tool if you use it as designed it will perform precisely as designed with a little practice. On the other hand if you set the club up in any other way than it was designed and build your grip and Stance around that improper tool misunderstanding your entire swing is being built fighting the tool from the start. Only when a player understands the tool and its design will that player have the potential to develop a swing that is correct for the tool. With a driver especially modern drivers the centre of mass is set way back in the club head. If the club head is soled correctly the face will be very visible at address and there will be no shaft lean. With the ball teed up ahead of the hands a natural upswing through impact is easy to achieve. With shaft lean using your driver it is literally impossible to swing the driver into any proper backswing at all. Understand each tool and what your tool is designed to do is the only way to improve your swing practice. Anything else is a futile endeavour that will consistently have you looking for the next best tip and you’ll play golf swing instead of golf!
I like the feel of rotating the left hand (and arm) to the top of the swing; it's great for getting the body engaged instead of my tendency to overswing with the arms.
For sure have to have some arm rotation to the top. Like all other things golf swing just want to make sure its the correct amount and not too much or too little
Arm rotation details here: th-cam.com/video/uA1T_P3Rtlw/w-d-xo.html&pp=ygUtRXJpYyBDb2dvcm5vIEdvbGYgbGVmdCBhcm0gcm90YXRpb24gYmFja3N3aW5n
Really good! Along with the lesson, pointing out perception issues your student had is very helpful! Headed to the range...
Glad to hear it! Hope practice goes great!
As a beginner, I love the tips and strategies in this video. One subtle highlight that stuck out to me was the alignment stick 2 or three feet in front of the ball. I’ll be using that in my practice sessions for sure!👍🏼 Thanks for sharing your content and knowledge.
Our pleasure! Hope this one helps!
Will be trying this drill. My iron game has improved tremendously however, my driver game has extremely declined. Will be practicing this daily. Thanks for the advice!
Hope this one helps your game!
Super helpful for me Eric. Thank you. I would love to understand how to initiate the downswing so that I don’t open my lead shoulder and can shallow the club through the ball.
Love to hear it Robert!
These two videos should help a lot!

Great video....simple explanation on correcting swing . Thanks Steve
Thank you, Steve! Hope it serves you well!
Hey Eric! Hope you are well. Haven’t played much golf for a couple of years, trying to get back into it and this is one of the first videos I’ve had a look at. Feels like you made it about me! Great to see you are still producing such quality content!
One question about the final point, is it a good idea to pre set the club face closed if you are having trouble squaring it when you get the club coming from inside?
Thanks Stuart! Appreciate you being here with us!
I would not advise that no. I would learn to close in IN swing....you can close it at setup as quick fix but I rarely see that last long term.
I would get your swing on video or find good coach to identify WHERE/WHY its too open in swing and solve that!! Send videos to www.cogornogolf.com only $79/mo we can help or find good coach in person!
Eric, thank you... This drill help me a lot with my driver. ⛳
you got it!!
This is awesome Eric, thank you. This really helped me fix my driver plane
Thank you! So glad this one helped!
I gotta try this. I hit my short irons and wedge shots very well, but have always struggled with the driver. I took the fairway woods out of my bag in favor of hybrids because I had such inconsistencies with the longer clubs. Hopefully this will help me improve in that regard.
I have faith in ya :)
I can't wait to try this. This video was tailored for me. I'm good with short irons but struggle with the driver!
Thanks Don---hope it helps!!
@@CogornoGolf You're welcome, I'll let you know soon! Thanks for sharing!
Eric, great fundamental review. I piled on with the questions about fairway woods and hybrids. I am assuming it is a gradual progression to a more upright approach? Thanks as always!
Thanks Gary!
Exactly!
Gradual progression of more and more around as clubs get longer.....flatter plane relative to shorter clubs.
So 4 iron more around than 9 iron but less around than driver.
Gradual.
Great Video. I'll try to practice after my surgery recover. I am one of the outside to inside golfers.
Thanks Ruben! Wish you a speedy recovery!
I needed this lesson so bad, I now understand what I was doing wrong. Thanks so much
Glad this one helped, William!
Absolutely incredible drill and lesson sir. Thank you!
Thank you! Our pleasure!
I am the opposite. I hit my longer clubs better than short irons. This tells me I need to swing more vertically with my short irons.
Im opposite of you lol. My long irons go lower and short. 😢
It would be really helpful if you could discuss releasing the driver on impact. I'm adjusting my grip to try and control for draws vs fades on the release but I can't figure out how to do one or the other consistently.
Hi Eric thanks for your prompt reply I'll use your advice today Jack
You got it, Jack! Hope it helps my friend!
Totally makes sense I feel that I was swinging really nice but still can’t hit driver, but seeing this with the angle is definitely something I was doing. Trying this next time I’m out. Thanks Eric you are the man
:) Hope it helps my friend!
This has been my problem. Thank you Eric! I’m going to try it tomorrow.
Hope it helps ya!
Great great coach ! Excellent Erick that is why I follow you !!!
Appreciate it :)
I’ve been working on keeping my head still well not so much still but over the ball. Trying to kill the sway and rotate more efficiently. I found in order to turn at all like I want to, the turning of the hips comes after the club gets taken away a few inches. I was trying to takeaway and turn my hips simultaneously for a long ducking time lol. So im quiet legs early and more upper body then that gets some nice torque into my lower w o doing anything. By working on it this way Im seeing much better accuracy and easy power. I eventually got into the groove 1 day at range w this concept and I was striking it so pure I asked if I could take the Matt home 😂 now I’m going to add this lil nugget of golf fundamental! I never even thought of it this way from wedge to iron. 5 iron is my weakest club but I wish I could hit a 2-3 iron or even 4 like a boss. Hate this game! 😁
I like that game plan for you....arms first until they hit right thigh then kick in turn
Excellent video. I’m storing my irons and my driver has been a mess. I can completely relate to this idea.
Thank Drew!
Brilliant video and just what I need. I'm taking that to the range later !
thanks Peter---hope this helps ya!
Good drill and excellent lesson. THANKS!!!
Thanks Robert!
Good video. You clearly explained a problem I struggle with. My question is don't you have the same angle issue when you use fairway woods? Do you also have a more baseball swing with those longer clubs as well. Maybe you might do a video (or reference one you have) which addresses the irons vs fairway woods.
Thanks Don!
It's gradually more around/flatter as the clubs get longer
So if you hold a 9 iron, 7 iron, 5 iron, 3 wood, driver all next to each other at setup
You would see the lie angle get flatter and flatter
So more and more around gradually as clubs get longer
For example:
Fairway wood more around than 7 iron but not as much as driver
Ball position also farther back with 3 wood allows you to hit more down
Driver ball position more forward and teed up so more up angle of attack with close to same swing angle
Hope this helps!
This is great. Trying it tomorrow.
Thanks! Hope it helps your game!
Very good explanations! Thanks so much😊
Thanks Sheila!
