Nice trick. When you want to even add just a little more realism, you could scale some of the lower lattice loops in x-direction to make the tire bulge out a bit.
Truly is! I will have to check out that addon I didn’t know it existed. I don’t have one at the moment but I would recommend CG masters Tire video, it’s quite good
And when the car wheel is rotating and moving forwards - set the Constraint for the Lattice objects to eliminate the rotating with the tire - if your Lattice object is parented to the wheel.
Good question! I never tried it but I think parenting it to the caliper bone could work since they don’t spin with the tire but still go up and down with the suspension. Let me know how it goes!
nice bro, i think i would make this effect with proportional editing if i have to do something really fast as well, but your trick add much more realism than that

True! That’s what is nice with the lattice is that it’s very flexible, thanks for taking your time to comment!
I just had the same idea!
Great! Lattice is something I always forget about 😅 I need it engraved in me, it’s very useful
Yes they are incredibly useful! I use them for tired, grilles and editing a mesh non destructively.
So cool! Could you make a tutorial on how to model nice tires?
Amazing tire model!!!
Thank you!
Lattice is one of the best tools in Blender. I love the quick lattice addon. Do you have a video on making the tire itself?
Truly is! I will have to check out that addon I didn’t know it existed.

@@baril3d Yeah one of the best addons from Blender Market. Should be still active. Think it's called Quick Lattice
Excellent tip! Thank you!!!
You’re welcome!

Smart! Very good way of doing this, didn’t think about it
Just what i needed, thanks!
Great work, Thanks!
Thank you!
WOW GREAT CHANNEL
THANKS FOR THE KIND WORDS!!
I really appricicate the tutorial but can you please tell me the name of your hdri image?
Hey! Thank you for the kind words, I think it was called Photostudio but really I don’t know, it came from Polyhaven that I am pretty sure though.
Ohh okay thanks you.
REALLY COOL TRICK ! I love it. Thanks 2u bro ill defently will use it in my work
You’re welcome!!
But bro what if i use rig a car addon what should i do for that
Good question!
I never tried it but I think parenting it to the caliper bone could work since they don’t spin with the tire but still go up and down with the suspension.

@@baril3dok brother thanks i will let you know what will happen
Thank you!
You’re welcome!

Proportional editing works well for sure! It is also much less demanding for your Pc, lattice modifiers left un-applied can get heavy.
That whitebat audio in the background ;)
It was fuggin hard for me, without English skill, and without blender skill. XD But got it! :D thx
Really happy to hear you managed to do it! My English prononciation sometimes can be rough so it probably didn’t help. 😅
Cool! But too many triangles as for me
Normally it doesn’t add geometry, you could do it with textured tires (as in no threads modeled) just fine too!
