3:00 and if you want to extend your battery life just change the wallpaper to a pitch black, that will allow pixels to be turned off. Looks pretty amazing on this screen.
You don't need Greenify on Galaxy Note 8. Go to Settings, Device maintenance, Battery and in Unmonitored apps select the ones you want or need to run all the times. Then select power saving mode. That's it.
These really aren't any tips to BEAST mode your Note 8. Doing all this, you won't notice a difference at all. Maybe some better battery life with not having Sync on. Poor poor tips.

Note 8 users just ignore the Apple Faithful in the comments with there closed minds These comments are just personal biases based on personal experience. Using both operating systems I can tell you the note 8 runs very well. These tips are provided just to have a bit of extra punch not that you need it. But if you do here you go :)

their* and yes. I agree. I have experience with both Android and Apple. I see the little perks of both. I see the faults of both. and I make a conscious decision to stick with Android now. I have a Galaxy Note 5 that does everything these iPhones do. 4K raw video. I USE the stylus. I want this galaxy Note 8. I wish we still had IR sensor and removable battery. My two main complaints. I'll go ahead and blame Apple for streamlining that garbage.

Performance mode really makes the animation smoother and the phone feels snappier.

Honestly, the only bad thing is that the screen scratches very easily small ones at that but still there so I would recommend to get a screen protector and honestly a screen protector covers up the scratches anyway so all good

Which screen protector are you using to get such good screen response? I'm using the one I bought at AT&T, and have to tap on the screen up to 7 or 8 times for it to register... 😣

HI.. did you put tempered glass or only a film protector screen on the phone??
One thing I do is to turn the animations to 0.5x and when I root, I turn them to 0.25x, the transitions are super fast. Nova launcher does feel speedier than stock samsung launcher.
Another thing is that you don't need to be killing apps everytime, that actually slows down performance because they will need to be loaded into RAM again. The Note 8 has plenty of RAM, it will take around 26 apps to make a previously opened app to reload. Greenify seems to have the opposite effect on my phone, actually draining battery faster.
Turn on the auto-reboot option to reboot the phone once a week to keep it working smoothly.
iPhone users can say whatever, they can do very limited stuff with their phones, so the beast there is pretty much caged.

I had the same problem with greenify... heard that and figured he got paid to say. This app will constantly run in your background to turn off apps running in your background...

Thanks it worked! one clarification though: in the European Note 8 (Exynos) you have to go to About Phone then Software Information. Then from there you can see the screen with Android Version & Build Number.

1) Greenify is truly unneeded in modern Android versions. Settings-> Device maintenance-> Battery has a comprehensive set of "Greenify" features built in.
2) One antimalware is free, ridiculously fast, small and capable: webroot. It even provides some identity protection in the background. Once installed it is basically invisible, which I like.
3) Many are not aware of www.google.com/android/devicemanager -- built in capability to find your phone, ring it (even w/ ringer turned off), and wipe it if you can't get it back.
4) I too like Nova launcher. Switched a while ago and have not looked back.

Now my note8 running super fast.
Nova launcher I thought was perfect. But I switched to Yandex Launcher in the end because it started lagging a little bit and was more demanding.
I also couldn't drag this one game to home screen without it crashing.

Some great tips and thanks for putting them together. Just a personal tip, can you slow it down a bit. I have had to stop and replay many times to catch it all. It is easy for you in the know but trying to find stuff the first time is a bit time consuming. I am not saying silly slow but you do rush along a fair bit.

Suggestion to maybe hold the camera further away from the devices in order to allow for the new aspect ratios. Just a suggestion. Great video and tips even for vets.

You know date looks super oversaturated LOL what are your settings for display? Mine are adaptive display but I turned the red balance all the way down because it makes the screen look way too saturated in my opinion

Greenify doesn't do anything that's not already built into the Note8 optimization. Turn Sync off? Beast mode is not cripple mode!

I thought, Changing those Scale settings only effect if your using the native launcher. I have and always use Next Launcher.
Do we need to close apps from recent app tray?
The problem if you install any launcher on samsung notes you will loose some of the pen features , like you cant use it to write simple sms using the pen.

When i update the apps of my note 8. Now i can not find the performence mode in my phone even i do not have the option of device maintance it as been converted into device care. Any solvetion for this issue.

When it comes to android in general, RAM is one of my biggest concerns given that the snapdragon system on a chip have a very fast arm cpu and a very powerful gpu capable of playing the majority of games even if used as a laptop gpu. Battery life and storage and camera and features have been very very good on those newer phones.
But the 2 main features that I find lacking in the modern mobile phone and tablet market are the pen and ram. Since this is a note phone, it has the pen and since I prefer physical keyboard, I can use a bluetooth keyboard.
The other feature that is very lacking is RAM. I see android phones to be very heavy on ram to the point where when I open settings it is always several gb in use and in the case of 3gb ram phones such as note 3, always at least 2gb are in use all the time before I open or download any apps just from the default out of the box settings and pre-installed apps.
If I use the feature to force close apps, I temporarily get some ram only for the apps to instantly reopen themselves in the background right away and there are absolutely no options to control things like that in any way.
It gets me to think that I really need 16gb ram for a phone to run smoothly and last me a couple of years since phones have reached laptop prices given the 8gb ram version is only available in south korea, china, and japan.
I really need to understand if ram is very limited on modern phones or will they be good to handle the heavy load once we get additional apps from the phone?
I don't have the edge maintenance app. I looked for it and got something that looks like it. I tried to open it and nothing It just hung

I purchased a note 8 and returned it for a plus 8. As a person tuned into Apple as far as communication and networking is concerned, tinge iPhone 8 plus is great. Overall I had a.l great appreciation for the Note 8. The bixby app was incredible and will be a powerhouse for Samsung. Seeing an app learn in real time is dope. I found the phone froze several times but that may be due to amount of apps downloading and movement through screens. iPhone 8 screen is easier on my eyes. I really think both phones are great and people should dedicate their energy to figuring out what is best for them. The versus battle will always be there and I’m sure both companies appreciate it.
Why would I buy such a high end device and turn all background and resource intensive processes off? I've turned everything on (except Bixby) and still get a beastly performance.
